My partner went in for a haircut and wasn't even able to sit down or fully check-in before they were rudely turned down by Trenton (who the appointment was made with) and told "I can't do your hair. I'm a barber". My partner has gone to a barber many times before with no problem. They wanted to switch things up and try a new place and the haircut they wanted was very possible for a barber to do but if you're not skilled enough to cut Asian hair, then just say so. Please don't be rude. The interaction didn't create a safe space. read more

I'm a male and grew my hair out for the first time. I became very attached to my hair, especially because I had learned it was naturally curly when it was long enough. After not getting a haircut for about a year and a half my hair was in need of some tidying up. I decided to cut it to the length it had been six months prior, which I had a picture of. However, not only did what I receive not resemble the photo whatsoever, but it was also cut at least three times shorter than I requested. Everyone who sees my hair now tells me they miss my curls, but when I show them the photo of what I had wanted to go back to and tell them I paid $43 to screw up my hair, they all laugh at what I ended up with. The manager reached out to me and offered to cut my hair again, which was frustrating because I had explained to her and showed her photos of how it had been severely over-cut, so making it shorter would not make it better. read more

I love Bishops because of my amazingly talented stylist Aileen! I used to go to her at a previous salon but when I heard she moved to Bishop's as the salon manager, I followed her over here even if it is a farther drive from my house. She is extremely skilled and she always does an excellent job with my stubborn hair! I can't go to anyone else, I only trust Aileen to touch my hair and that's saying something. She really listens to what the client wants, she takes her time, and never feel rushed. Thank you Aileen for blessing my hair yet again! Color is just flawless I LOVE IT!!! I'll always be back :) read more

Color me impressed! I walked in without an appointment, was greeted with a smile, and Luis took me back immediately. He was cheerful, friendly, and very skilled. He gave me a scalp massage during the shampoo and it was AMAZING. 10/10 would recommend. My hair came out perfect, and he's legit magic with a blow dryer. Here I am the next morning, and my hair still looks perfect. I'm so excited that I have a stylist I can trust now! Seriously, Luis is bomb. Go see him!! read more

Thank you, Louis, for a job well done!! If you're looking for a hair salon with a chill vibe, this is it. I usually patronize barbershops, but my friend and stylist went back to work today, and I wanted to show my support. I was somewhat apprehensive about being in an indoor environment. The new safety practices were spot on, and everything was super clean. After four months of DIY haircuts, the reward was to have a professional fix it. You would think cutting short hair is a breeze, but it's not, it takes more time and skill to even things out. Louis gave me nice a subtle fade with top a little longer than a crew cut, that gave me the appearance of having more hair than I do. The other thing is I didn't feel he had to rush me and took the time needed. I'll be back! read more

I recently got my hair cut by Daisy and she did such an amazing job!! I wanted some more layers and a little less weight and that's exactly what was delivered! With the pricing and the very welcoming atmosphere, I will definitely be coming back! read more

My daughter started coming to Bishops pre Coronavirus and saw Monique. We love her!!! She always does amazing, fun color for her and a great cut! She and I both made spots for yesterday because seriously...it's been over 6 months since our last cuts! I decided to book with Harry for a cut and my daughter booked with Aryne since Monique isn't back yet. We LOVE our cuts!!!! First of all let me say as we are living in the time of Coronavirus....Bishops doesn't play. Masks, temp checks, hand washing, bags in bins, sanitizing like crazy, plastic sheets hung between stations. The safety and well being of their staff and patrons is OBVIOUSLY of their utmost concern and as a mom could not have made me happier. I had NO CONCERNS being inside for this appt. Let me start with Aryn. She is so sweet, so spunky, my daughter loved her and her hair looks amazing! She did an undercut with a cute design and bangs from a straight, long straggly mess. She is amazing! Now on to Harry and my cut! So awesome! He took a hot mess and made me fabulous again! He totally got exactly what I wanted and delivered like a pro! I booked my next cut and added color before I left! He is so stuck with me now!!!! Let me take a second to also just say how much we love being in Bishops Campbell. The store is cute and has great personality....the people who work there make it! The vibe is so friendly and fun. Everyone has always been easygoing and always able to deliver. Lots of laughter....it's just a good place with great energy. Love it! read more

Came here last night for a pre-vacation haircut and am VERY pleased! I had never been to Bishops, so I let the online booking system assign a stylist for me: Luis Uribe. Luis. Was. WONDERFUL! He was incredibly patient with my less-than-helpful indecision about how I wanted my hair cut. He gave me options, made sure I was comfortable, and checked in with me often throughout, taking time to explain what he was doing. Luis was very personable and kind, and our easy conversation made the time fly by. I'm feeling so much more confident about my hair (which was honestly such a mess when I walked in there). Thanks, Luis! read more

I'm on the move again and with each move finding a great hair salon is high on my list of things to do! While walking downtown Campbell I noticed this hip place and stopped in to ask about their services offered and loved the vibe. The next week I made appointments for my husband and I. Aileen, who is also the manager cut my hair. She took time to get to know me and asked lots of questions about how I wanted my hair cut. Both my husband and I left with great haircuts at a reasonable price. We are definitely fans! And will be back. BONUS: hopefully you stop in when her husband brings donuts from Stans, they were flipping amazing!! read more

I made an appointment with Arynn to get my hair colored. Prior to my appt, she had texted me to see what I want done with my hair. Based on the pictures that I sent of my current hair color and what I wanted, Arynn planned out the time needed for my service so that she was not rushed and has sufficient time to complete my coloring job. During my coloring job, she hand painted each section of my hair and took her time to make sure properly saturated. I had a lot of hair, so the attention to detail was really appreciated. I would definitely go back to get my hair done again. I have been to Bishops twice now and both times their stylist and staff were super friendly and went above and beyond with their service. read more

I was nervous to get my hair dyed for the first time, and this place was recommended to me by a friend because of the welcoming environment and not-exorbitant prices. I trusted Arynn to dye my virgin hair, and I was not disappointed! They worked with me to make sure the colors were exactly what I was picturing. I let them take creative liberties on the blend/dimensionality of the colors and it turned out even better than I had imagined. Overall Arynn is friendly, fun to talk to, and professional, and the rest of the Bishops staff seems really cool too. (Bonus points because they grabbed me a snack when my blood sugar got too low lol). read more

Jaclyn does AMAZING WORK! Her patience, skills and technique allowed me to sit in her chair with the confidence that I will look exactly how I want to when leaving the salon! I took my mom in to get her hair cut today and Monique took great care of her! Mom even told me how much better she felt halfway to the car. My mom is 93 and hadn't had her hair cut for close to a year. It was bothering her physically as well as emotionally. Her new, simple 'do is a tremendous help. Thank you to the folkx at Bishop's, especially Monique! read more

I was extremely disappointed with my experience here. I scheduled an appointment for myself and my young daughter. The hair dresser was very unfriendly and didn't smile or greet us kindly. At some point she complained that I should have brushed my daughters hair out so there were no knots before I left home, which I thought was unnecessary and rude. Our haircuts are both extremely uneven. My daughters slants diagonally in the back and mine has random hairs longer than others. I'm shocked at both the unprofessional behavior and lack of skill. I will not return. read more

I have been looking for a new hairdresser and booked an appointment with Bishops Campbell. Arynn ended up being my hairdresser and I am amazed with their work. Aileen is great! She took her time and made sure everything was done right. She took my boring brown hair and helped transform it into a violet/red/fall baylage that I couldn't possibly love more! Bishop's in general is great. Super easy to book online, they hand you a beer the moment you come in, and the prices are reasonable for the quality of work they do. I appreciated Aileen writing out a general estimate of what she though everything would cost as we started so there were no surprises. Every person I interacted with at the salon was great and I can't wait to book my follow up appointment! read more

I found Aileen on here and I am so grateful to have done so. I had been dreading sitting in a chair getting my hair to a lighter blonde. I kept feeling like I had a cloud over me with the shade I was though. So on a spur of the moment I looked to see if maybe I could find someone who did a great job and could fit me in while I had the drive to just go for it. I wanted to like this place so bad, but my poor son got a complete chop job. Jen had the haircut perfect at one point, but unfortunately she kept going. Let me start this review by saying that I had not seen a professional stylist for over 3 years, do to the fact that I had stylist PTSD after my last salon experience. I was weary of anyone touching my hair, even if that meant walking around with a birds nest atop my head! Enter Aileen, she eased my worries, was very communicative, took her time and made me feel right at home. She literally transformed 3 years of box dyes and diy haircuts into the pics here. I couldn't be happier and will never let anyone else touch my hair. If you have had a bad experience in or not, I highly recommend Aileen to ease your concerns and transform you into the goddess you are! read more

Usually I would say its just hair and it will grow back. But its just so bad. I My stylist never introduced herself, so I am not sure what her name is. I showed her a picture told her I wanted to keep the length. Its so choppy. Even my 4 years old daughter asked how come it doesn't look like a "V" like the picture/style I selected. I got my cut for a wedding next week and the holiday coming up buts its so horrible. I forgot to add that my stylist kept combing into my cartridge piercing - its a very small hoop. She actually made it come off and fall on the floor - that has never happened to me before and I have had my piercing for more than 10 years. My stylist asked the other stylist "how do you make sure the hair is even, can you lift up the two sides and compare the length?" I don't even part my hair in the center, so that definitely isn't going to work. That should have been a signed for me to leave/run! She took so long to cut my hair, I had another appointment to get to and I had my kids with me, so I couldn't stay any longer. I went into work the next day and one co-worker asked me if my daughter cut my hair for me and another co-worker asked me why my hair is so "choppy." The photo with the tattoo is the picture I showed my stylist and the last picture is the picture of my actual hair cut (as soon as I got home from my hair cut). read more

Wrote my first review before leaving Bishop's because my hairstylist said she would give me the 50% off noted on Yelp, only with a good review. So I rushed to put a simple one together. When I got home and took a better look at my hair, it was completely uneven! It was nearly a half inch difference on each side. I have never gone back to a hair salon to have them fix something cause I normally am so simple and low maintenance with my hair, but this was too much. When I came back, two of the stylist blamed me for not letting them dry my hair before leaving and said I was tucking it behind my ear too much, and never once acknowledge the fact it was completely uneven. Angel (thank you), who seemed to be the more senior stylist corrected the cut, but with that, my original hairstyle that I requested was completely gone cause he had to cut so much off to even it out. He gave me a free card to come back and get my style redone, but I already visited twice for one cut and have no desire to go back again. Won't be back here myself, but seems like others had a better experience then me! read more
