This cool little strip mall Indian food place is unexpectedly wonderful. I went one afternoon on my way back from Tanasbourn because I'd forgotten to eat. I tried the Butter Chicken medium and wished I'd gotten more spice- I like spicy food. It's become my destination for Indian food now. While the space itself is cold and pretty low cost looking, the food is great. My last trip back from Hillsboro I called in an order. It was quickly ready and I was on my way home. My GF and I have been to Biryani Corner quite a few times since it opened and have enjoyed the Indian Food. The people who run it are nice, the parking easy, the location easy to get to, the place is kept clean and you are met with the wonderful smell of Indian cooking when you walk in. This eatery is popular with Indians and thus the food is prepared and cooked the way it is in India. This means the food is authentic and not watered down spice wise for the "western" palate. In fact, you may want to ask for your food to be prepared "mild" or otherwise it just may be too hot and spicy. We have tried quite a few items, including the Thali Weekend Special, both Vegetarian and Non-Veggie, though we usually order the vegetarian, both are good. We have also ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Curry Chicken, Chicken 65 Biryani and the Chole Bhatura. We've liked them all. Portions are good size. Another feature that we like is the music. Often it consists of Indian Kirtans which are Indian chants. They add to the atmosphere. We recommend Biryani Corner for an authentic Indian experience. read more

Oh man biriyani corner is quickly becoming my favorite Indian place in Portland/ Beaverton/ Hillsboro Area. The food is amazing and spicy especially the chettinad chicken curry, biriyani and the chicken lollipop. Not many Indian places do the chicken lollipop in this area and these guys do a good job. All I can say here is: Butter Paneer Masala. That's all you need to know about this place. It's quick, hearty, delicious, and will feed you multiple times. I have tried a few different things at Biryani Corner, and I haven't been disappointed yet. But I tend to keep going back to the BPM because it's just so good! I also love the Chole Bhatura (make sure to order an extra bhatura! And have a little bit of a spicy tolerance) You'll need it!, and the Medu Vada is also great. Be weary of the spice, but you will still go back for seconds. My favorite Indian buffet to date, this place has everything from chaat to chai to North/South Indian main dishes. The desert selection was also spectacular. The food is really quite spicy, but they have some kheer and chai to help you get through it. Every single time I decided to go to this Place, I regretted right afterwards. I ordered madras goat curry in person to go which took about 30 min. The worst part was that The madras goat curry itself was tasteless as if they boiled the goat curry in plain water and mix it with madras gravy right before they handed to me. Servings are HUGE. One big plate of hakka noodles can be split into 3 regular dinner plates at home. I'd assume the biriyani too. When they say spicy, they mean spicy. Came here with my dad for Dosa night. It was great! The buffet section was good, and the service for dosas flowed well. As soon as I got my dosa, theyd ask what my next one would be and it would be ready by the time I was done. My only criticism was that the chicken tikka dosa only had like an ounce or two of chicken inside. One of the dosa only had chicken tikka sauce and a sliver of chicken. Everything else was good too. I was last here with my family and the wait was kind of long. The items all came out one after the other, but they comped one of the items. My item came out in about 30 minutes, but my brothers biriyani was out within 5 minutes. This place is going to be one of my most favorite places to go to. Quick and delicious. Great service and the food was amazing. I tried Baby Goat Biryani and Andara Chicken Curry. They both were very good. A bit on the spicy side. If spice is not your thing, then go mild. They are a bit more spicier than other places, which I enjoy. Good food. Very poor customer service. I ordered online and went to pick it up. They said about 10 min wait. After 15 min, every time i asked for food they said it is almost ready. They made me wait for about an hour when i was hungry. When i complained about the wait, they said kitchen missed my order (which is not my problem). They didn't even move a muscle to win my future business with them and even acted little bit confrontational. Hope they will realize how important it is to keep a customer and will treat them better. Had they told me earlier about the wait, i would have gone to some other place and they would have not gotten this review from me. At least they could have offered me a refund. (Really 3.5 stars; however, 3 stars would have been unfair given the good customer service and the overall quality of the food, so rounding up.) My girlfriend and I came here this past Thursday on a whim. We've been to the previous iteration of this place (Chaat n' Roll); not sure if this is a rebranding or new owners? Place was pretty busy when we arrived around 7pm. We found out upon arrival that Thursday is unlimited dosa day, so my girlfriend (a native of Bangalore) got the unlimited dosa for $12.99 and I ordered a shrimp biryani for $14.99 (single, not family pack), medium spicy. The prices are in-line with what we expect, if not slightly higher. The service was very good - everyone was very courteous; we asked a lot of questions about the various biryanis (neither of us were familiar with the names of the dishes, as they were in Telugu), and they were very patient in going through each biryani and explaining what was in it. The dosas (per my girlfriend) and other accompaniments: - Thin and crispy, good flavors, met expectations but did not exceed. She felt some of the pairings (thin dosas for masala dosa) was a bit strange and could be Andhra-style dosa. - Coconut chutney was good. - Vada was better than expected (our expectations of vada are generally very low, though, given disappointing experiences everywhere in Hillsboro); idli a bit tougher than it should be, though it went well with the sambhar. Shrimp biryani: - I should have realized from the Telugu that the owners are from Andhra Pradesh (confirmed when I chatted with them later) and that medium spicy, my usual spice level at most places, would be too spicy. Yes, it was too spicy - but they were very nice about it and gave me 4 packs of raita for free (I wouldn't have been able to eat it without all the raita). Next time I'll ask for super mild! - Spice aside, the biryani was very, very well seasoned; yes, it was a bit on the dry side and they could have given a bit more masala, but the raita helps a lot. - The shrimp is a bit overcooked - quite tough, though by the end I started to appreciate the texture when combined with the biryani - maybe this is how it should be? But, in all other contexts, I would consider this overcooked. - Gourd sambhar was nice - the first time I've had it, and I liked it. - Quantity-wise, there was a lot of biryani - two big meals for me! Overall, the customer service was very good, the food mostly met our expectations (will watch out for the spice next time). Given that, in our experience, new restaurants that open in the Hillsboro area tend to decline in quality and service as time goes on, we'll probably come back next week and try out some other dishes before the inevitable decline kicks in... read more

The best place for Biryani in Portland. We had Veg dum biryani, it tasted heavenly. Everything was so appropriate, the taste , the spice levels , the raita. We came all the way from Eugene to Portland for this biryani. I would recommend this place and I would come back here more often. Every penny was worth it. The sides given with this were mirchi ka salan and raita. The taste of these two were very rich. I have never eaten such tasty mirchi ka salan and raita anywhere in this country so far. The Curry's were saturated w Gee which normally wouldn't be bad but felt sloppy and gross. The Nan was clearly from TraderJoes! Seriously! Don't sell Trader Joe's nan! This place was recently re-branded possibly due to new owners to Biryani Corner. I have been a regular customer of the older place and am sorry to report that this place disappoints in a big way. First things first, customer service is pretty good unlike some of the other reviews. The food though, has always been very spicy the couple of times we have been there. The biryani is really South Indian style biryani which doesn't bode well with a vast majority of us from other parts of India. Spice levels are insanely high even for medium spicy and it almost seems like they are trying hard to hide the actual flavor of the dish by soaking it in chilli powder. Their appetizers from what we've tasted are decent, but if you are calling a place "Biryani Corner", your biryani better be top notch. I used to love going to this place. However, to my knowledge this was the only real Indian food joint in Beaverton. For the price, the food was wonderful. I ordered from this place bunches of times and usually always got the Butter Chicken with garlic nan (once they added that to the menu). Ever since I ventured out and tried other Indian places, I've come to find out how I really feel about the food here. The flavors were kind of there but it was pretty bland to me. I'm not sure what they use for their chicken but its very rubbery and not very high quality. Their garlic nan is still one of my favorites so there isn't anything negative I could say about that. There were also a couple of times that I noticed the rice had a very odd taste to it and I couldn't describe it but it wasn't pleasant. Last time I ordered food from here I was extremely disappointed which is why I probably won't eat here ever again. The chicken tasted horrible and so did the rice. I ended up only eating the nan dipped in the sauce that the chicken was in. Ended up being a waste of money but oh well, I learned my lesson. I am not sure if it's because I have not been to a restaurant in two months or what it was but I thought this food was amazing. Very friendly staff. We came upon this place randomly because the bagel shop was closed and we were hungry. They had a huge selection on their menu. We got the garlic naan which was the best garlic naan I've ever had in my life. We also got the vegetable samosas which were delicious! And we got the vegetarian paneer tikka masala and that was also amazing with the onions and bell peppers in there. Consistent, amazing Indian food. Dosa, biryani, medhu vada - everything is super tasty here! Staff are super friendly and the service is attentive. I quite like the vibe while dining-in here on Friday nights. A parade of delivery drivers are coming in/out with orders and it kind makes for fun people watching. So here is the low down of my experience. Before these guys expanded, the quality of food and service was great. During my recent visits, noticed the food quality has dipped and the Service is horrible. Not blaming the servers as there is only one person serving the entire floor and I can see he is doing the best he can. Blame seems to go to owners who should get more servers seeing the amount of footfall they have in the restaurant.
