    Corn Masala
    Holly T.

Pretty dang good!! I ordered chili chicken extra spicy, and I even specified to make it "super duper" spicy in the comments. When we went to pick it up, he smiled and said he tried to make it as spicy as he could with the sweetest smile ever. And he did a great job! It was delicious and had a nice kick. We also ordered the wings, which were also delicious. And a cauliflower dish, but I forget which one. It was so tasty. I do want to try their fusion flavors, but I'm a sucker for chili chicken and all things spicy. Next time! Oh! we dis try the masala corn, too! Not a huge corn fan, but this had nice flavor and spice. Worth trying!

Best. Indian. Food. Ever. Seriously. I've lived (and eaten copious amounts of Indian food!) in NYC, LA, SJ, SF, ATL, and PDX and this chef and his fusion cuisine is on a whole new level of culinary mastery and taste bud ecstasy. They even have an ordering app where you can earn rewards points towards apply to orders! And they are only 1/2 a mile away! We are so very blessed to have such mastery in the neighborhood, so much so that now I must go order from them just thinking about the deliciousness!!

Very authentic Indian food! If you like spicy food, this is your place--they can also make dishes mild. Thank you for the recommendations on which dishes to try. Very delicious!

I noticed a new Indian restaurant opened up in the area awhile back. Wanting to a new restaurant, my boyfriend and I went, craving curry. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The art on the wall was very pretty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were greeted by the cashier who took our orders. When we sat down, he gave us waters. Our orders didn't take long. We ordered garlic naan, butter chicken and chicken tikka masala. I loved the taste of both. I do wish the chicken was cut up a bit more, but still enjoyed it!

This is Chicken Biryani with chicken 65 on top.

My first time here, the staff is very friendly, I wanted something not exactly on their menu and after saying that he doesn't make that, he then said he could. I was very pleased with the meal and the portion size (very large). [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is fun, brightly painted walls, TVs over head with soccer playing, I bright bar and good amount of seating for a smaller place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will be back.

I stop randomly after having lunch next door. The menu looked interesting and we have yummy ice cream [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor needs some update, not everyone gets the humor unless they are from India[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Hyderabad Dum Vegetarian Biryani. HOT!!

Warning! The food here is VERY SPICY! I ordered the corn masala, Gobi masala and Vegetable biryani. Every item looked well prepared and tasty. But after only a few bites of each item my mouth was on fire. I like mildly spicy food but this was on a level beyond what I enjoy. The food did look good and if the chef could just rein in his love for heat a bit, it would probably be enjoyable food. I ended up tossing everything because even adding raita didn't help tone down the heat. I wish someone had warned me...

Good was flavorful and had enough spice. We ordered chicken tikki masala, masala fries and masala corn with garlic naan. My son and I enjoyed the food and flavors. Highly recommend.

Absolutely delicious! Best Indian cuisine I've had in the area and the service is wonderful. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back again! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is also super clean[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the decor is cute![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Lamb Vindaloo and Buttered Naan deeeelish!
    Kim B.

The food is amazing! So fresh and authentic! I had a lamb vindaloo and it was AMAZING! Spice level was fantastic! My husband got the Chicken Tikka Masala and he said easily the best he's had. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very casual dining and they have Thumb's Up soda![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Asked for recommendations and was offered the Corn Masala as a starter, it was perfect--sweet corn cooked with just the right amount of spices to give it a little kick without being too spicy. The Lamb Vindaloo Tacos were on point, juicy lamb in a spicy sauce on top of crispy tortillas. For dessert, definitely get the Cardamom Kulfi (Indian ice cream). They have Mango, and Pistachio flavors. Coming back to try the Pistachio. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, my second order via DoorDash missed the mark in two significant ways: 1) Spice level not honored: I ordered butter chicken and Mughlai paneer and selected "mild", specifically because my 5-year-old was going to eat with me. What arrived was unbearably hot, even for an adult used to spicy Indian food. I double-checked my receipt and the mild selection was clearly there. Neither dish was edible for my child, and I could barely get through it myself. What's especially frustrating is that my first order at mild spice came out perfectly mild. Dishes like butter chicken and Mughlai korma-style preparations are traditionally on the gentler end of the heat spectrum. It would be great if the restaurant could maintain consistency in honoring spice level selections, as it makes a difference for the person eating it. 2) No rice with the main course: In every Indian restaurant I've visited globally, a main entree comes with a side of rice as standard. I didn't select "extra rice" on DoorDash assuming this was a given, and added only a garlic naan. What arrived was two entrees and a very small portion of naan (two thin slices, really enough for one person), and no rice at all. A heads-up on the menu or at checkout that rice is not included would go a long way. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously, because the food itself is very tasty!

The location and atmosphere is nothing special, but that isn't why you come here. Both times I've gone it's been busy, but we were able to get seated right away. The paneer makhani curry is delectable. It's rich, sweet, spicy, creamy, and has a great depth of flavor and spices. The shrimp biryani was the standout dish for me that I still keep thinking about. The rice was aromatic and cooked perfectly, while the shrimp was robust, bright, and very spicy. I would recommend ordering a spice level down from what you would normally get.The mini samosas were packed with flavor and I loved all onions in them. The garlic naan was also solid. All around incredible food!

The staff are friendly. There is a big variety of Vegetarian & non-Vegetarian dishes to try out in the buffet. The place is very spacious and clean. We went with a big group of 20+ friends and were give separate tables so we can all sit together. I liked the 3 different desserts (the Mango custard seems to be off that day but the other 2 Semiya payasam and Carrot halwa were pretty good) in the buffet, its a good surprise that they were not the usual Gulab Jamun etc. I hope they can add some spicy flavors and rotate some of the dessert options.

Everything was packaged nicely. The owner is friendly and welcoming. The samosa chaat was tasty. The aloo gobhi was good but semi-dry. I prefer it with a bit of masala gravy. Since I got my food to go, I was able to add some gravy at home. The shahi paneer was the only real disappointment. The chunks of paneer were good but the gravy was totally bland. Pakoda came with it's own 2 sauces, I wasn't able to decide which sauce I liked better. All of them were good! The owner gave me a complementary Chai. The Chai was not sweet like at most places (or the kind you get from a carton). There is sugar at the counter for those who like it American sweet but first try it without the sugar. You'll be able to taste the spices more without the sugar. There were picnic tables, shade and heaters in the eating area along with lots of parking. It's located literally just off TV Hwy and Cornelius Pass (SW 214th Ave is the cross street). There are about 4 trucks in the area. I ate the food before I was able to take the pics of it. I'm really bad about taking pics of food because I just can't think to take a picture if there is literally good, hot food just staring at me in the face. You'll just have to try it for yourself.

Updated in April 2026…read more We came to Desi Bite's new location for lunch. The dining area is much smaller than the previous location. The shop was quiet with some customers picking up to go orders. We went to the counter and ordered two non-veg (chicken) thali plates, a mango lassi and a chai masala. I also asked to confirm that they don't have their buffet anymore. While we were waiting, we noticed that most of the tables were dirty with food smudges and left over trash presumably from the day before since it had just opened. I tried to clean our table with paper napkins and water with little effect. So we decided to just deal with it. My husband went to the restroom to wash his hands and told me the restroom was in need of cleaning as well. As our food came. We noticed the sides on the thali plates were different too. They used to have two side dishes with cucumber, tomato, onion and crackers. The new plates were more plain, not bad, but not the same variety. The food tasted pretty good, I noticed the curries were spicer as well. That makes us wonder if there was a change of ownership/management once Desi Bites moved.
