As an update to my original review, I Just attended a Napa Valley tasting free of charge at OWC…read morethat was open to the general public. The wines that Nick served were all very good ranging from Value Cabs in the $20's to more premium cabs in the $100 range. The star of the tasting was the 2016 Cade Estate Cab at $99/bottle that was quite good where WA rated it at 96 and JD rated it at 97. To be able to taste a wine of this caliber, gratis, is amazing as most wine businesses would charge you $20 - $30 for a tasting for quality wines like this. Bravo OWC! On top of that Nick, the owner, allowed me a repour on the Cade which helped seal the deal for me as I ended up buying 6 bottle. Being able to taste an expensive wine like this before throwing down my hard earned money makes a purchase decision like this so much easier and is greatly appreciated. There is another tasting coming up in the April 2020 timeframe with Brewer Clifton from Santa Barbara where Greg Brewer himself will be at OWC as part of the event. I am so excited for this upcoming event as I am a big fan of this winery which I recently visited in Dec 2019. Its events like this that separate OWC from its competition and makes them one of my favorite Brick and Mortar wine retailers in the area. This small business is really a gem of the Birmingham business community and well deserving of local support. Whether you are a casual wine person or a wine afficiando you definitely need to visit this store if you are in the area and make sure you get on their mailing list for upcoming wine events/tastings. You will not be disappointed. Five stars ++++
