I discovered that Beverage Warehouse accidentally double-charged my credit card ($50, not a huge issue) for a purchase from over a year ago. I visited the store, spoke with the manager, and reviewed the receipts. They promptly apologized for the inconvenience and resolved the issue. It's refreshing to see such great customer service--many would've brushed it off. Truly a classy business! read more

I called about a scotch they had listed on their website, they said it was out of stock. I said it shows up on their website as available. They told me if I order it online, they'd have it in a week or two, so I placed the order. I called a week later, they said it wasn't in yet, should be in next week. I called a week later, no answer, left a message, no reply. Sent an email, no reply. Sent a direct message on Instagram, no reply. Called again, no answer, but a request to text them. Turns out they can't get the product, yet it's still shows available on their website even after they know that. I will never shop here again. I wanted to leave zero stars! read more

Over promised & under delivered Said they had it, they didn't. Ordered online, charged my card, didn't have it again when I came in to pick up. Full refund but waste of time and clueless service team. They don't get it- just chasing $$. Moving on. read more

Best place around! Excellent selection, pricing and extraordinary staff! You can't go wrong stopping at Beverage Warehouse. When they first took over the location I complained the former owner's didn't carry my cigarettes. Junior told me no problem they would now. Always get my cartons from Beverage and they are always fresh. If they don't carry a beverage, normally they will get it! read more

Good selection of party favors as you walk in to the "wine" section which is huge. Cold beer and craft beers abound. Last room is liquor. Staff is not as familiar with liquor (at least when I asked about bourbons)- however all prices appeared to be good and not high, even on accessories such as vermouth. They also had a really nice selection of all liquors. Good place to look for stuff! read more

Your business is trash. I ordered online in order to receive a hard to find bottle of wine, you took my money, I received my receipt via email, and then attempted to contact you during business hours for your mailbox to be full. All I needed was a status update because your app "Shop" where you track the orders was inaccurate. Then, after emailing you guys like you stated on the receipt, "Respond to this email if you have any questions or concerns", you not only didn't reply but YOU CANCEL MY ORDER AND DID NOT EVEN SEND AN EMAIL TELLING ME MY ORDER WAS CANCELLED? THIS WAS A CHRISTMAS GIFT! Trash! DO NOT RECOMMEND, DO NOT PASS GO, DO NOT COLLECT $200, WILL NEVER EVER ORDER FROM YOH AGAIN! You don't even have the audacity to inform someone when their order is cancelled! read more

it took months to get my order. customer service was not responsive. Delivery was not reliable. go somewhere else.

The markup for alcohol is astronomical. There's a reason it's considered a "museum." Nice to look at, way too pricey to buy. Just a bunch of bottles gathering dust. read more

This business is a joke. They list for sale items they do not have and cannot get. Ordered 2 bottles of bourbon (350$) 1 month ago. I made over 5 attempts to both email and call the business with no success. No one answers the phone and there is not a voicemail set. I had to go through PayPal for file a claim before I finally got a response from them. I received my order yesterday (1 month from date of order) and NONE of the order was correct. I still don't have the bottles that I ordered and again unable to contact the seller. Please do not order from the fraudulent business. Many other people have had the same experience when ordering online as noted in reviews. This is not a coincidence . Big mistake that i will never make again. Neither should you. read more

Placed an order 15 days ago and still hasn't shipped. Emailed them with 0 answers. Messaged them on website and was told I'd get an email with their response. Never got an email besides spam from them. Canceled my order as their customer service is a joke. read more

Family told me about this place and recommended I try it out. Was looking for bottles of Miller high life in a 6 pack and you had it!! This will be my go to place from now on. read more

Made the mistake of assuming that this place sold liquor at State minimum only to find that their prices were higher than what I would pay at several local grocery stores. Their price on a bottle of Rye Whiskey that I was looking for was 32% higher than I would pay at other places. Great selection but you will be paying a BIG premium read more

Fantastic selection and service. Junior (the proprietor) is a friendly guy who really knows his stuff, if you need a recommendation or just want to chat about scotch and bourbon. I can't speak to the wine section, but I know my scotch and he has a great collection - best I've seen in metro Detroit. Not just macallan, but Balvenie, Auchentoshan, and Glendronach (multiple offerings from each distillery) - as well as some more obscure ones, like Mortlach. Try it! read more

Great service. Lots of variety to choose from. If they don't have it, they will special order for you. I love this place!!!

Ordered a birthday gift for my partner two weeks ago and never got an update on my order. I tried emailing and calling but no response. If you're ordering online from them, don't. Take your business elsewhere. read more

Just past a corner, with a driveway very close to the corner station, such that northbound traffic has a hard time entering. From the outside there is little to notice, a rather plain and small looking building. There is a long cubby outside to pull a cart from. Inside is large but plain feeling, with a series of 4 rooms you have to go through in order. There is a room of drinking related trinkets, a large wine room with high shelving. The sides of the room is broken down by type, ad be price from highest price up high and cheapest low, ad the middle has sale wines. The end of the room has a cold beer area, including a beer cave with cases of craft beer for the sale. The back corner of the room is the bottle return area. Then there is a large craft beer room, with a Michigan beer shelf area. Pretty decent selection. The last area is liquor and checkout, there is a very large selection of liquor brands and types. The prices are okay, and the selection is large. read more

I was told this was discounted liquor but to my surprise it wasn't I purchased anyway lots of wine here tho.

Placed an order a month and a half ago for ~$100. "Shipped" a month and a half later to the wrong address. Haven't responded to emails. Zero customer service. Avoid at all costs. Have opened a dispute with my credit card and filed a complaint with BBB. read more

I placed an order nearly two weeks ago. Got an email that my order was on its way. When I tried to track it FedEx has no record of the shipment. They do not answer the phone and their voice mailbox is full. I emailed but got no response. I have reached out to PayPal to get back my money. Seems like a very shady operation. read more

Similar experience to many others here. Ordered an Ardbeg Heavy Vapors Committee Release scotch. Completed the purchase, received a confirmation email, then nothing. 10 days later after emailing and getting no response, I downloaded the Shop app to see my order listed as "Canceled". Surprised places like this can stay in business. Needs to be shutdown. read more

I ordered a Bday gift for a friend. When it didn't arrive, i looked on the website for a phone number...no phone number. I googled it & called, but all you get is machine, and the mailbox is full so it won't take any messages. No other choice, i contact them through the website...'Hi, looking for my order #....please advise. 24 hours later i get a response, 'What's your order number?' I give it again, no response for 4 or 5 days in a row. I just send a little note everyday, Hey, looking for my order...nothing. I had to send the birthday girl to the store to get her gift, cause clearly they were never going to deliver. I bought $300 worth of wine plus the delivery fee...big mistake that i will never make again. Neither should you. read more

We went in looking for Don Julio and other bar supplies. This place has everything you need for any party including hard to find liqueurs. The selection is incredible and the store employees were so helpful and personable. This is my new favorite store when in Michigan! read more

This store may be great to shop in-person - but ordering something online is a disaster. Don't do it. No one responded to my order for over ten days. Then told me they were sending it (after I had requested it just be canceled). I started receiving emails from them that it had been shipped and to expect it today. Just received an email they've cancelled it. Horrible, non-existent communication from what must be an uninterested, thoughtless staff. read more

Overwhelmed by their diverse inventory, well thought out organization, and visible cleanliness! Just moved to Michigan and my husband was told by some colleagues at work to visit the Beverage Warehouse if he liked beer. I had driven past it a few times and it doesn't really shout, "I'm interesting!" But, if you step inside, your jaw will drop from the awe inspiring selection. They had a HUGE collection of wine, beer, liquor and had pretty much anything you would want/need to serve it or consume it. They even sold snacks and cigars! If you are crafty or enjoy pinterest projects, they sell a plethora of the little bottles of liquor that are the perfect size! The gentleman who were working were attentive and friendly to myself and my husband and offered their help to us multiple times. Today may have been our first trip to the warehouse. But, I can guarantee it will NOT be the last! read more

When I was a kid I used to think Toys "R" Us was the most amazing place on earth. Now that I'm older and Toys "R" Us has gone bankrupt beverage warehouse is the most amazing place on the planet. I should go more often but society frowns on that much alcohol consumption. But on a special occasion, when I need a perfect gift, or I just want to try a new bourbon, this is the place. Actually this is the place for anything. Microbrews. You can buy the mix and match. Everybody in there is way into spirits. So if you say I kind a like this but I am a fan of that they will run to the shelf and excitedly pull down seven or eight bottles and explain the differences in the gin or the bourbon or the vodka or any of the microbrews and I'll compare them to things you like or have had in the past. Today I went in looking for a very specific bourbon from a northern Michigan distillery and they did not have it in stock. I was not surprised. It's very hard to come by. But he quickly recommended four other Michigan distilled Bourbons. And then he said he would order the one that I wanted and would call me when it comes in. Yes! He's going to call me as soon as the bourbon I want to gets delivered sometime next week. That's the kind of thing you just can't get at your corner Rite Aid or most places. read more

Beverage Warehouse has the best selection and customer service and certainly is a must experience liquor, wine and beer establishment. If it's not in stock Jr. or other store executives will attempt to find it for you. I've been a loyal regular customer for several years because of the customer service. Certainly you can purchase liquor at any store but the selection and customer service separates Beverage Warehouse from the competition. read more

Friendly, great selection, and can get things not on shelf if available. The owner got a bottle of bourbon I was searching for and personally messaged me. Liquor: These guys are awesome. 'Nuff said. You name it and they probably carry it (so long as it is available in Michigan). As of late they've even had some private single barrel Buffalo Trace and Blanton's in the house. Basically, they buy the whole barrel from the distiller, then you buy a bottle from them which came from said barrel. Rad. Wine: I'm not a wine guy so I can't really speak to their selection. But it seems like they carry quite a lot. What bothers me about their wine is how they have multiple signs explaining that all their wine is all 20% off, and that the discount is already reflected in the price listed on the bottle. But then the prices listed on the bottle are comparable to (or even higher than) what I've seen elsewhere. Huh? I don't get it. Just lose the silly misleading signs already. Beer: I am a beer guy, and ever since they recently revamped their beer room the craft/import selection went from being decent to quite good. They even added an additional cooler for craft beer, and devoted one or two small shelves to selling assorted singles (broken down 4/6-packs). In my opinion if they want to go from being a good store to a great store they should devote more real estate to singles. Also, the beer pricing is generally inconsistent. Depending on the brand their prices run anywhere from competitive to a few dollars more than I prefer to spend. This place is pretty close to my house and I would absolutely shop here even more if they were more competitive overall with their pricing. It also seems as if there is really only one employee there who knows what he is talking about when it comes to craft beer. A bit more staff training could lead to better customer service, more sales, and (hopefully) better prices. Overall a solid beer store, however, and absolutely worth stopping in if you are in the area. read more

Beverage Warehouse always has what I need regardless of the occasion. From wine, to beer and liquor, I have always been able to find what I am looking for. What an incredible beer and liquor place this is! It doesn't look like a whole lot on the outside, but wow is it massive in the inside selection wise. You walk in and it is just shelves upon shelves of wine. You really gotta know what you want to be successful in that area. Then comes the area of "grab and go" beer. This is where common types of beer, cold and room temperature cases are. Kegs are in the back of this area which is also pretty cool. Then, my favorite part, is the massive room dedicated to uncommon beers. From $6 six packs to $30 six packs to crazy beers you didn't know existed by popular companies, they have them all. You can spend forever just looking at all of the different types trying to decide. Throughout the entire store though, employees are there to help, which is great when you find yourself stumped. Then in the final area towards the exit door are many different types of liquor as well. It's an amazing place that i'll always go out of my way for to make sure that I can choose from a great selection of beer and will never be disappointed. read more
