One of my biggest concerns was wearing sandals in the future as I was fearful that my nails would end up botched post procedure. Therefore, I wanted to go to a female doctor who I hoped would better understand the value of aesthetics; which is why I initially selected Dr. Kirkland. Not only did Dr. Kirkland understand and value, aesthetics, but she and her staff surpassed all I could have hoped for with this experience. Dr. Kirkland and her staff (Mrs. Shelby and Dolly) were extremely empathetic, kind, nurturing, professional, gracious, patient, charismatic, and enjoyable to be around. Despite my nerves, they put me at ease by reassuring me, telling me stories, making me laugh, and talking me through every step that they were taking. The office played calming music and everything was very clean and well-laid out. The procedure was seamless and pleasant (outside of a quick spike of pain for the injection). Post procedure, I am very happy with the shape and amount of my remaining nail and I think the cuts were perfectly executed. I 100% recommend Dr. Kirkland and her staff for any podiatry needs you may have.

I really want to give this place another star, but the cons outweigh the pros…read more I had an appt scheduled for 2pm on a Tuesday; I arrived 20 minutes before my scheduled time(like they asked) I was called to the back at 2:35 and did not see the Dr. until almost 3pm. The front desk was overrall nice. The nurse was overrall nice, but had NO idea about my chart or my past visits. The Dr. that took my original physicians place was more interested in my personal life than my health. He was very nice, but I paid to see a Dr about my health not talk about my personal life. I know that there should be a balance, but there was none in this case. I will be looking for a new general doctor.

First, I was really happy that this is basically a stand alone location with a private lot. No parking decks, elevators, or long hallways to deal with. The waiting room was pretty crowded, but everyone seemed to be called in a timely manner. I met with a nurse, a nurse practitioner, and then Dr. Lipperd. All three were friendly and seemed to actually care. After discussing my medical history and current and past medications, I felt VERY comfortable with the entire group. I think I've found my new general practitioner.

He told me the only place that he knew that could do a revision surgery like that was somewhere up north and he gave me the number to call and sent me on my way. 3 years later- after many consultations and recommendations, I went to a facial plastic surgeon here in Birmingham, Al. I had rhinoplasty revision surgery completed and im very satisfied. I'm almost 2 years out in July. So just be careful who you choose when choosing someone to work on your face.
