I had never heard of this winery. It's cozy inside but also a lot of room outside. The lady serving wine was really nice and had a great sense of humor. The wine was good! I'm not really a red wine person but the Barbera was really good. My son came to visit and he loved it. Definitely check this winery out.

Had a great wine tasting experience here on a Friday afternoon an hour before closing and had the BEST time chatting up Kim and Tony. Learned about their story and had the most wonderful time getting to know them and the winery. The location was very lovely and they were getting the area prepped for a wedding. I can see this being an amazing venue, everything is just so serene. What prompted me to leave a review, is their wine. Wow wow wow. Everything was so tasty! I'm usually not a chardonnay person but theirs was so flavorful and the taste profile was just so clean. Our favorite was definitely the Alicante Bouschet. It was a full-bodied, juicy... the flavor just went so well together. We loved it so much we ended up getting a few bottles and having Tony help us ship them home. Can't wait for the box to get here so we can enjoy them with our favorite home cooked meal. I'll def be back, never felt so connected with someone that I HAD to take a photo with but I did with Kim. Thank you to Kim and Tony for taking care of us, we'll make this a destination visit next time. XO!

Sherry and I are by the birdstone entrance.

It only cost $5.00 for a flight every Sunday. What a great bargain. Sandra, was amazing hoisted. The Chardonnay and they're Pino, noir was very. Nice little of how the brand name came about. I recommend this location.

The wine tasting was $15/person and a discount if you buy a bottle - our group bought 4 bottles! There were 13 different varieties to taste. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the greenery and people watching. Highly recommend packing a basket of goodies to enjoy with your samples (cheese/crackers/grapes, etc.). They do offer a variety of snacks for purchase in their on-site cooler there as well. My beer loving father in law completely enjoyed the entire experience! Service and explanations of each wine offered by Travis was supremely helpful!

Had a great wine tasting experience here on a Saturday afternoon. Very friendly greeting as soon as you walk in. $12 tasting (waived if you buy a bottle). Great tasting that included white and red wines. I enjoyed them all, we bought a Malbec since that is my favorite. Nice air conditioned space and tons of outdoor space with tables and shaded areas. They also have chips and a few other snacks and beverages for sale. Definitely would love to come back soon.

I had the opportunity to go to Birdstone Winery for the Madera Wine Crawl the weekend before Valentines Day 2020. This was the second to last winery we went to for the day. We checked in and saw Roma's Italian Food truck happily taking food orders for the Winos out there. The grounds were so beautiful! The layout brought me back to my Los Angeles days where I helped plan a multi millionaire fundraiser with high end celebrities; you can tell I really enjoyed myself here. Definitely on my list of favorite wineries I explored that weekend. The staff and vendors were fun and they had unique goods and their wine crackers were shaped like hearts!! Which makes this winery so unique. I was not a fan of the wines as they were very dry, my preference is sweet and tangy wines. It was very lively and so pretty and spacious at this winery so green as well!! I recommend this be the first stop of the wine trails so you can sip, relax and enjoy what this gorgeous winery has to offer.

The wine barrels and wood they let us use for tables.

OK y'all, get ready for a ride. We found Birdstone by serendipity when Toca Madera down the road so royally messed up our wedding reservation that they ended up refunding our deposit after having it booked for 6 months. This was because they had booked our wedding for what we later found out was a wine trail weekend. We only found this out because the employees at Birdstone noticed our date and had heard our story of how we hadn't been able to get ahold of the coordinator for some time (she had apparently been fired). And we were only at Birdstone that day because Toca's tasting room wasn't open when it was supposed to be, so we moseyed on down the road and found a better winery. Needless to say, we took our refund right over to Birdstone and booked our wedding for November 2019. In addition to having better service, we also saved over $1000 on the rental fee. We became wine club members that day as well and we haven't regretted it once. The wine is very tasty and the staff is wonderful. Kim, the owner, is usually there, and she personally oversaw my wedding bar. I am truly happy with my venue choice, it was beautiful, the wine was affordable and delicious, and the staff was wonderful. We used their covered patio for the reception since we only had 55 guests, and that saved us a bunch of money on a dance floor. They also let us use a ton of wine barrels for decoration and tables, which fit in greatly with our look. I can't say enough good things about this winery. They saved the day, literally letting us have our preferred date regardless of wine trail weekend, and we had a great wedding there.

If you like dry wines, you might like these wines. If you don't like dry wines, keep driving…read more Visited earlier this month because my husband loves to go wine tasting. I'm not a big wine fan so usually I'll do the slurp thing to taste the notes or take a sip or two and then pass my glass off to my husband, rather than dumping it. I've been to umpteen wineries around California, the US and internationally. This winery gives, hands down, the stingiest pours I've ever experienced. I could maybe get two sips out of a pour. And yet this tasting was $15 for 4 wines, but if you're a party of 6 or more, the fee for the same tasting goes up to $20 per person! Since when does pouring maybe a half ounce into more glasses warrant everyone in the party being charged $5 more bucks a piece? It feels stingy. I went to 4 wineries in the same weekend I visited Crū. J. Lohr in Paso charges $20 per person for 6 generous pours and a free pencil with herb seeds to plant at home. Eberle Winery in Paso does free tastings and yet have generous pours, free bottled water and a free tour of the underground storage facility. Quady in Madera charges $5 per person for a tasting and not only were the pours generous, we tried 7 wines, got to double back on our favorites before we ordered a half case. The server was nice and personable. I have no complaints about her. Overall it doesn't feel like a fun wine tasting experience when it seems like they're rationing their wine. While not the end of the world, there isn't much of a view for the outdoor patio because the tasting room patio is between the building and a fence with a road on the other side. If you're wanting to see vineyards while you sip, this isn't the spot for you. There was also a couple with a toddler at a table - with an iPad, playing a video outloud without headphones - while the parents were wine tasting inside, so just know that kids are allowed if that matters to you. Ziveli Winery, Fresno, CA - December 6, 2025…read more We showed up at about 2 PM on a Saturday afternoon during the winery's Christmas celebration. There were lots of arts and crafts vendors there, and the parking lot was packed. Recognizing we might not have a spot to park, we parked out on the street to begin with. We walked in and saw the lovely vineyard grounds. There's a nice open patio area with nice lighting. They have a pizza kitchen and people were out front selling pies. It was very festive. We walked into the tasting room which was jam-packed. We told one of the wine pourers that we were with the Harvest Host. He directed us to be on the lookout for winery owner John, who was making the rounds greeting his guests. We got a couple flights of wine and sat down. Not long after, we spotted John behind the counter and went over to say hi to him. He is a super friendly and gracious host. He realized that the parking lot was pretty packed when we were there and told us that it would be clearing out a little later in the afternoon, so we did some wine tasting and chatted with John for about 15 or 20 minutes. We shared with John that we would be going to Croatia next May. He was super helpful in taking a look at our itinerary and giving us some feedback about things to be checking out while we're there. At about 4 PM, the parking lot cleared out and we pulled in our motorhome. It was a nice level spot looking out over the Vineyard. We had a very restful night's sleep. We definitely hope to come back again!

December 6, 2025 - Fresno, CA…read more "We stopped here as part of the Harvest Host program for RVers and was pleasantly surprised to find they were hosting a special event--a Christmas Market. There were several vendors offering a variety of items, plus wood-fired pizza, which smelled amazing. Even though there were quite a few people, we were able to grab a table in the rustic barn tasting area. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas and had a warm, festive atmosphere. We also had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, John, who was incredibly welcoming. We enjoyed a tasting of their wines, and bought a bottle of their delicious cabernet. Overall, a wonderful stop and a great experience."
