Tesco Petrol Station

It is my favourite petrol station, and I have always used this all the time, but it is just the…read moresame as other filling stations. However, this Filling station is 24 hours, and sell almost anything like in a news-agent shop. But it is quite roomy, and the shop-floor is bigger than compared to Greenock Petrol Filling Station, it is quite bright and clean. You also can top up your mobile phone and pay cash/credit card Also it does not have customer toilets! Even this filling station do not have a Car Wash! But they do gives you free water for the windscreen, and air as well. This filling station tends to get busy during the peak time, and the entrance and the exit to the road are good, and easy to get in and out of this station.

We filed up here having got a money off each litre of fuel due to shoping in the supermarket and it made a wee bit of a difference. The cars can manoever round the forecourt easily and the staff member was very friendly serving us. We got a newspaper and a few bottles of juice they had quite a lot of bits and pieces for your everyday needs. The petrol station is ideally situated for the tourists driving alongside the clyde as it would not take you too far off your planned route and it is easy to find you can not miss it!

If you know this place you must be heading somewhere towards the highlands. It's a pit stop that's…read moreknown throughout Scotland. A stop that next to a couple of little Inns. A petro station and of course the shops. Basically a pit stop if you need the restroom. It's alway busy with tourist, tour buses and locals heading north. There's a few little shops thats all connected to each other. Your usual gift stores with literally everything and anything Scottish. Between the souvenir and gift shops is also an apparel shop. Seems more for the outdoors type of clothing. They also have a restaurant inside that offers soups, pastries, sandwiches both hot and cold. A cafeteria style where you grab a tray and head down to the register. Each visit, it's alway the sausage rolls and scones with jam and cream that's ordered. It's something about them that's is alway a must when I'm here. Also their soups were quite tasty. I believe there's another smaller cafe to the side. And a mini connivence store similar to a 7'11. Toward the back of property where the tour buses parked, there's also laundry services for use. Plenty of parking in the lot. It's a nice and pretty cool pit stop that's well known.
This place is a great rest stop if you're between Fort Willam and Glasgow for whatever reason…read more It's quite large and clean, has a lot of restroom capacity, a good cafe/coffee/snack shop, and a large and well stocked gift shop. It may well be the only significant rest stop on this route. It was a surprise also to me to see 'ol Gulf Oil still being marketed for petro, but more power to 'em.

I have to applaud the staff of this place for putting up with the crazy clientele they must encounter, as a 24 hour garage, with everyone from steamers to stoners pestering them for munchies in the early hours of the morning. By day, it's a pretty decent little service station, serving fuel and fags, milk and magazines, as well as a whole range of overpriced groceries. There's also a Wild Bean Cafe in here, serving surprisingly good coffee as well as a tasty selection of muffins and pastries to refuel your belly whilst you refuel your motor.

I cannot argue that once you've seen one service station, essentially, you've seen them all. But…read morefrom my experience of this particular one, I have a few things I really think are worth knowing for any driver around the Glasgow area; This is one of the few BP stations that has a Marks And Spencer's Simply Food as it's add on grocery shop, which is so refreshing from the usual choice of huge bottles of coke and 3 for 2 Kit-Kat chunkys that you find elsewere I can't even begin to express it. It's also very well equipped for it's prime location, with about 10 tills, all manned and quick moving. It's also got a real coffee point and croissants and stuff, but honestly, I'd keep away from that area. It also has a car wash, which any childish adult knows, is the single most exciting thing you can do whilst sitting motionless in your car. But again, avoid it - it scratched the roof of my car, and did a truely crap job on the wheels. But, for what it is, I'd say it was up there among the best service stations I've been to. Which says a lot for the genre, seeing as it still only gets 2 stars.
