Did our grocery shopping here during our stay on Skye. It was just a 10' drive away from our…read moreholiday rental. But even if not, this is one of the best options if you need to do grocery shopping. It's a big store and the parking lot always pretty full. But there's always a spot. In summer you will be greeted by dozens of midges the moment you step out of the car - aggressive little buggers. So if you need to wait for somebody, best to stay in the car. There are mixed reviews about this shop. And at first glance one can see why. The store looks a bit dated, a bit run-down. And inside there are several shelves empty or at least close to being empty. But this is mainly because there's a huge number of visitors doing their shopping here, so naturally stuff gets sold out. And whenever we went, it was always packed here. But it is actually a very good store this one. We were suprised by the good quality of all the meat here (rump and sirloin steaks, lamb, bacon, duck) and the variety of the food. All real good value. Ok, the wine section didn't blow us away, but had some enjoyable stuff. We found what we've looked for: soda, water, milk, rice, pasta, veggies, fruits, crackers, bread, eggs, guacamole and hummus dip, wine, Prosecco. Made some enjoyable dinners out of these ingredients.

Clean restroom, small store but good variety of lunch options, and above all else: ocean view! How…read moremany petrol (gas) stations can say that? Sushi with a view at this station on Isle of Skye. The gas station sushi is even fancy, with duck!

If you know this place you must be heading somewhere towards the highlands. It's a pit stop that's…read moreknown throughout Scotland. A stop that next to a couple of little Inns. A petro station and of course the shops. Basically a pit stop if you need the restroom. It's alway busy with tourist, tour buses and locals heading north. There's a few little shops thats all connected to each other. Your usual gift stores with literally everything and anything Scottish. Between the souvenir and gift shops is also an apparel shop. Seems more for the outdoors type of clothing. They also have a restaurant inside that offers soups, pastries, sandwiches both hot and cold. A cafeteria style where you grab a tray and head down to the register. Each visit, it's alway the sausage rolls and scones with jam and cream that's ordered. It's something about them that's is alway a must when I'm here. Also their soups were quite tasty. I believe there's another smaller cafe to the side. And a mini connivence store similar to a 7'11. Toward the back of property where the tour buses parked, there's also laundry services for use. Plenty of parking in the lot. It's a nice and pretty cool pit stop that's well known.

This place is a great rest stop if you're between Fort Willam and Glasgow for whatever reason…read more It's quite large and clean, has a lot of restroom capacity, a good cafe/coffee/snack shop, and a large and well stocked gift shop. It may well be the only significant rest stop on this route. It was a surprise also to me to see 'ol Gulf Oil still being marketed for petro, but more power to 'em.
