There are two little play park areas to keep little ones interested, and plenty of wildlife to take in. The swans, geese and ducks all congregate on the car park side of the Loch (along with pigeons and seagulls!!) hungry for food from passers by. It can be a bit like a scene from the birds, however, with this hungry gang of birds all vying for the crumbs of bread and scraps. So, I tend to find a quieter spot on the Loch, away from the car park if we want to feed the birds - much more civilised! ;) There is a path all the way round the Loch for walkers, runners, cyclists... The whole Loch takes maybe 20-30 minutes to get round, depending on your walking speed and size of walking companions (longer with 2-3 year olds!) Hogganfield Loch is a nice wee spot if looking for a relatively quick, but refreshing, walk not too far from the city centre!

The car wash is a little hard to get to if you enter from Eaglesham Rd, so best going in via the Ayr Road entrance. You also need to pay inside for the wash, so make sure you do that before you get in the queue. For a basic wash it was a crazy-bargain price of £3 and did the job - my car came out nice and shiney. It's more expensive if you want a blow-dry but I figured mine could just air dry. It's also a petrol station, and inside they sell all the things you'd expect of such an establishment. It does the job, but I still prefer the BP garage down the road.

Strolling past here in the stifling heat a few weeks past, arriving at a fully air-conditioned Marks and Sparks in a petrol station was truly a moment to savour. It was wonderfully freezing inside, and despite it's small size they seem to cram in everything you could want. My current favourite find is a meditteranean rice and chorizo snack tub thingy, that's on a 2 for £3 offer just now and tastes far more exciting than it sounds. It is in a petrol station, so expect a fiery, horrifying end if someone drops a fag outside, but for me it all just adds to the excitement of a Marks and Spencer's shopping trip.

Because it's not in the middle of town, it's not very busy I've passed it many times and there are never long queues. There's a car wash to one side which I'll try sometime as well. The lady who served me inside the little shop yesterday was very friendly. You can also buy confectionery and newspapers here to save going into Tesco.

However, this Filling station is 24 hours, and sell almost anything like in a news-agent shop. But it is quite roomy, and the shop-floor is bigger than compared to Greenock Petrol Filling Station, it is quite bright and clean. You also can top up your mobile phone and pay cash/credit card Also it does not have customer toilets! Even this filling station do not have a Car Wash! But they do gives you free water for the windscreen, and air as well. This filling station tends to get busy during the peak time, and the entrance and the exit to the road are good, and easy to get in and out of this station.

The cars can manoever round the forecourt easily and the staff member was very friendly serving us. The petrol station is ideally situated for the tourists driving alongside the clyde as it would not take you too far off your planned route and it is easy to find you can not miss it!

Fine so I drove straight in and the soap started and the guy banged on my windows telling me he washes the car first and I had to reverse out of the machine so he could wash it.
