Such an underrated cafe!! I absolutely love this local cafe, the ambiance is so relaxing and nice. I love how you can read the books they have on display. You can even leave books too. The vibe of this store is immaculate, there are plants and decor everywhere. There's a table where you can sit and read or do work, which I love. I got a large blackberry iced matcha latte with soy milk ($8) and it was so good, definitely worth it. It wasn't overly sweet, it was the perfect balance between matcha and blackberry. Darian was super helpful and nice. They also give punch cards!

I love Birch! It's my favorite coffee shop in the city. They make their own oat milk and it's the best. I usually get the iced vanilla oat latte but today I tried the new oat cold foam and it was delicious. Birch also has propagations you can stop for and a library system where you can take or leave books. They are LGBTQ + friendly and they give a teacher discount which is greatly appreciated. I love the vibes!

Sometimes I'm still not nice! Coffee helps. 06/16/22

Birch Coffee was recommended a long long time ago by my Yelp friends Ellen and CJ from Las Vegas. Since then there aren't many locations I haven't stopped in for the small black drip. At 8oz it's reasonably priced. I enjoy the taste and it gives me the buzz I need when I'm wandering around in the neighborhood. When you are nearby check out this location. I love the T-Shirts and I usually get a scone to go. Birch loves me!

I love this local coffee place. Amazing espressos, ice coffee and much more. Joanne is super and also Darien. They give this place personality and amazing service. My favorite coffee in the city!

What a rip off. Eight dollars for a spiced pumpkin latte and it's basically a glass of milk with some pumpkin syrup. this place is extremely expensive for a very low quality product.

I came here on a Thursday afternoon since I work nearby. I pass by this place all the time but never went in. My old coworker enjoys their chai lattes with oat milk so I decided to check it out with her. I ordered a regular latte with skim milk. It was pretty strong and hot. They actually had seating which I was surprised about. I took it back to work but I could hang out there if I had time to kill. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would come back and try their other drinks. I could always go for a cortado from time to time.

I asked two cold brew coffee and had use coupon today. And I got two of them. Looks different. Am I wrong? or It was same? If I use coupon and they gave me just ice coffee, I will not heading anymore. If these two are same cold brew, please let me know. I will remove this review.

This is one of my go-to locations for coffee other than the traditional starbucks/gregory's coffee chains. The space itself is quite small and there's not a lot of seating area so I usually take it to go. The baristas and receptions are always super nice and if you buy 9 coffees here, you get the 10th for free! I often get the drip coffee or latte depending on my mood. Both are pretty good and they definitely don't burn their beans; sometimes at places like Starbucks they burn their beans and it ruins the quality/taste of the coffee. A bonus is that they have honey to put in your coffee if you want to make it a little sweet. One thing I've been wanting to try their oat milk (I've heard good things about it). The price isn't too bad either. Probably similar to most shops, and I'd say it's worth the money. So if you're ever in the area, stop by! You won't regret it.

I needed a really good cup of joe the day after NYE and this place was amazing. Really cute inside shop and the staff was very nice and very attractive as well (which is always a plus)! I loved the vibe I got from this shop and the napkins are SO CUTE. It says birch loves you and on the back is a place for inspiration note taking. I'm in the marketing industry so reallly appreciate when companies go out of their way to do little things like that. Obviously custom napkins are an added cost and likely most customers don't go there because of this but damn it is a nice touch. The coffee was also really delicious. Very solid cold brew! Had a nice clean finish and you could tell it was of good quality. I would definitely go back when I'm in the area!

It came out as a thick piece of deep-fried toast topped with ice cream, boba, caramel popcorn, and strawberries on the side. Not healthy at all, but really good. They have a water dispenser, two locking bathrooms, and plenty of outlets, so I already have a very positive view of Grace Street as a good place to rest. The food is alright. It's a bit overpriced and the teas are not good quality. However, the desserts are delicious. I usually split a slice of basque cheesecake with my friends. The regular and matcha have both been good in my experience. I don't like chocolate cake, so I haven't tried that variety. I wish the pumpkin was available in the smaller size too! I've tried their boba, and it isn't good. The hot teas are okay but not great. They're pretty much just syrup and milk. I would avoid the drinks and just get the desserts! I haven't personally tried the bingsoo, but I've heard good things. The waffle is alright--all in all, come here to recharge and for the basque cheesecake!

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.

They're a little pricey, but each donut is a pretty hefty ring of chewy glutinous rice flour batter. I had them the following morning, and the donuts still tasted fresh. There was a little bit of oiliness from the frying, but it did not taste off or too greasy. I think this is from the meticulous frying process and good management of the oil.
