Big fan of the cold brew-- perhaps I really needed coffee this morning, but this one did the job (wish they had the spiced latte for me to try) Cheers!

Super quick service for that morning pick-me-up before heading in a long Amtrak! Decent cold brew with a few syrup choices, milk alternatives. Excellent, friendly service. A friendly fellow commuter recommended the rosemary honey butter biscuit and so did the baristas so we couldn't resist. It was actually better than I anticipated - the flavor profile was absolutely delightful - a must try!

Long time fan of Birch and love that they have a spot so conveniently at Moynihan while waiting for the Amtrak. Great quality and fast service. My go-to is the mocha or latte.

Passing through NYC at Moynahan Train Station and gave this spot a try instead of the SB. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of service received at this small coffee shop. The staff were all smiles and eager to serve, providing some much needed caffeine. We got the dirty chai and they added a nice touch, something you don't often see anymore. It tasted perfect, just the pick me up I needed. The price was on point as well. If in the area, give them a shot, you won't be disappointed.

Birch Coffee was just what I needed before I got on my three hour train. The line was long, but the employees were committed to getting you in and out quickly. They had a solid selection of baked goods and I ended up giving the rosemary honey butter biscuit a try. It was different and pretty tasty. I also tried out their iced birch spiced latte which was great. Loved their twist on a more traditional PSL. Overall a great place to stop when you are waiting for your train to grab a quick but delicious coffee and baked good.

This is a wonderful little coffee kiosk in the train station. I always stop and grab a latte here before getting my train home. It's one of the best lattes I've had. The coffee isn't bitter, and the have a few flavor options. The little heart on top always makes my day! The staff is always friendly and efficient, which is ideal if you're in a hurry

Honestly fairly surprised, as this is just a coffee stand in the middle of Penn Station, with the clear target customer a train goer looking for quick cup of coffee. However, they move fast, produce good coffee, with excellent service! I got a cortado, and it was super solid. Good high quality coffee, with notes of fruitness, and good balance of creaminess. Honestly not much else to ask for! Would recommend if you're in the area, even if it being in the middle of Penn Station is probably typically not the best sign.

The convenience alone of this location is great. Between this and the blue bottle in Moynihan I decided to try Birch. We were a little pressed for time since our train was going to board soon, but the line at birch moved fast and they work quick to finish drinks. I ordered a chocolate croissant and an iced French vanilla latte. Before ordering, the cashier asked to make sure I had 5-7 minutes for the drink to be made which was really helpful. My croissant was good and coffee was great. Overall a great spot to grab coffee before your train!

How do you know their coffee is good? Order a black drip or Americano without sugar or milk. I did and their black drip was good. It wasn't bitter and I didn't have to add sugar or milk to tolerate it. Good coffee is not bitter! They have pastries if you'd like to have something with your coffee. They have a small cold fridge with Boxed Water and juice. They were busy but the staff was pretty efficient and friendly.

want to enjoy a hot coffee in Moynihan Train Hall? go to Birch Coffee. the small coffee stand inside the train hall is sorta close to the 31st and Eighth Avenue entrance and it's pretty busy since it's in the thick of the train station. there's a coffee menu of all of your standard java drinks. the stand is neatly maintained for speedy efficency. staff is friendly and keeps lines moving. percolate your Amtrak train ride with some fine caffeinated brew.

Nice people and decent coffee. It's close to the train waiting area. They also have Martinelli's Apple juice for the kids.

They have a water dispenser, two locking bathrooms, and plenty of outlets, so I already have a very positive view of Grace Street as a good place to rest. The food is alright. It's a bit overpriced and the teas are not good quality. However, the desserts are delicious. I usually split a slice of basque cheesecake with my friends. The regular and matcha have both been good in my experience. I don't like chocolate cake, so I haven't tried that variety. I wish the pumpkin was available in the smaller size too! I've tried their boba, and it isn't good. The hot teas are okay but not great. They're pretty much just syrup and milk. I would avoid the drinks and just get the desserts! I haven't personally tried the bingsoo, but I've heard good things. The waffle is alright--all in all, come here to recharge and for the basque cheesecake!

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.

They're a little pricey, but each donut is a pretty hefty ring of chewy glutinous rice flour batter. I had them the following morning, and the donuts still tasted fresh. There was a little bit of oiliness from the frying, but it did not taste off or too greasy. I think this is from the meticulous frying process and good management of the oil. I got the Cookies and Cream, Rose, Lavender, and Pistachios. I loved the Rose and Lavender flavors, especially the lavender which had a solid floral flavor without being perfume-y.
