It is a shame that they will lose our business because their management office can't be bothered to return phone calls.

The fact that this place calls themselves "Luxury" is a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First of all, the heat is electric so get ready to spend a fortune to heat up your apartment on those cold winter nights!!!!!! I used to rent an apartment here... I had a stomper neighbor who lived above me who would stomp all day and night! It was like living in a cardboard box...LITERALLY!!!!!!!! There is no insulation in the walls as management says. The walls are HOLLOW!!!!!! You can hear your neighbors go to the bathroom to say the least!!! The entire year I lived at this property was AWFUL!!! I stayed until my lease was up & I didn't want to break my lease for the sake of the property manager filing a tenant landlord dispute!!!! The property manager Susan at the time is a LIAR!!!! I never got my security deposit back!!!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!! Save your money and your time and a lot of headaches!!! I will say these apartments are spacious but it means nothing if you can't relax in your own home!!!!

And forget if you have a medical condition, no one cares. I moved in October 2022 and have experienced more incompetence, disorganization, and irresponsibility from any management or company I've ever come across. Despite all problems you will face in your apartment here, don't think for a second you will be able to break your lease. They care about the money, not your well being. There have been tenants posting notices on how to break your lease in this building. The concierge staff and the maintenance workers are the only true gems. Do yourself the favor, if you believe you deserve a good living for your hard earned money, do not choose this place. I am still one of the many tenants suffering and hoping to break out of the lease to live somewhere actually worth it.

There is a layer of concrete between each floor that prevents sound traveling between floors. The walls are made of cement blocks that also help prevent sound conduction between units. Because of its construction Jefferson Place is also pretty much "fireproof." The units have 24 hour a day ventilation in kitchen, bathrooms and laundry areas which makes units always smell fresh. The grounds, halls, gym, party room, library, video room and children's play room are clean and well maintained by an excellent staff. Pets are allowed but are not allowed to disturb others. There is covered parking and some storage spaces. In each unit you'll find granite countertops, General Electric appliances, garbage disposal and a washer and dryer. Penthouse units come with a fireplace and other upgrades. Jefferson Place is at the quiet side of downtown away from the noisy traffic at the Ritz and Trump Towers but well within walking distance of theaters, 2 large malls and a multitude of restaurants. Parades go right past the front of the Residences of Jefferson Place several times a year. There is a 24 hour CVS right across the street making this an ideal location. The only possible criticism is that the parking spaces in the garage are a little narrow. Yes, life is great at Jefferson due mostly to the professional staff. There is concierge service 24 hours a day. The building is a secure building monitored by surveillance cameras. The staff treats people with respect but will put a halt to anyone who gets out of control. That rarely happens in this happy environment.

Also, the realtor my mother and I worked with was an absolute nightmare to work with. She called my mother stupid multiple times during the transaction, withheld paper work we needed, and most of all was rude and inconsiderate the whole time I resided there. My car was kicked in or vandalized while it was parked in one of the 15 minute spots near the door. When I asked to see the footage they said they didn't have a clear camera angle of that spot.

I have been living this this apartment for about 7 months and have encountered multiple issues…read more 2 weeks after moving in, multiple cars have parked in my reserved parking that costs about 90$ a month; I reached out to super Mauricio asking what the towing code and he said that the property manager Elizabeth Rosado would be able to provide it. After reaching out to Elizabeth, she said that she did not know it and Marucio should be able to provide. 7 months later, I still have people parking in my spot and no towing code - so basically I pay 90$ a month for a parking spot that isn't even guaranteed. Also, in the last 7 months the lobby has flooded more than 3 times; The lobby stinks of old water and honestly it's disgusting that this place is considered luxury. On top of the lobby flooding, in December, the whole second floor was flooded from a busted pipe. The super let the water running for almost 40 minutes before I called 911 since no one was doing anything to stop the water and damage to our property. What was even worse was that no one from management reached out to the affected apartments asking if we were ok nor did they fix any of the floors that had water damage. If you have pets and don't want to worry that they will drown from a flood, run far from this place. Lastly, they shut off the hot water at least once a month without notice or any updates. Right now we have no have hot water for 3 days and have had to shower by boiling water. So take it from me, if you want to pay 3200 a month for a "luxury" apartment that has no hot water and constantly floods, has boiler issues, and has management that doesn't care, come to the glasshouse.

The property is clean, doesn't smell, the staff was keeping the dining room clean. It's not like a traditional nursing home or some of the senior living arrangements I've seen where it was depressing. They have a monthly calendar, activities and outings. My husband and I looked around White Plains for an apartment, and this building was the best bet in terms of size of apartments, price, and convenience. The higher floors get tons of sunlight and the 12th floor apartments have fireplaces. There's also a gym upstairs and laundry on every floor. The building is about a 10 min walk to the MetroNorth train station and a 5 minute walk to the Mall and Target/Shoprite. There are so many other things within walking distance including the library, DMV, restaurants, bars, biking/walking trails, etc. etc. With regards to the negative reviews left, it really depends on who you are renting from. They may have had a bad landlord who tried to rip them off and weren't attentive to issues that came up. The units in this building are owned by individuals and either lived in by the owner or rented out to others. I think the review by Steven L. which is filtered out for some reason states valid points. Each unit has separate heating and cooling units.
