When I walked in, I had to wait about 15-minutes to let the people who had already been seen checkout and then allow the ones before me to go to the counter. When I went to the counter, the girl whispered if I was there for a Covid test, being mindful that I might not want people around me knowing my business -- pure class on her part. Once I confirmed, she had Sarah Holton assist me. Sarah was very kind, understanding, professional, and straightforward. She gave me options with pricing as they don't take insurance and made sure I was OK with everything before moving forward. You could tell she genuinely cares about her patients, and although she deals with many sick people a day hasn't lost her compassion. Once the Doctor arrived, whose name escaped me, but she was a lovely sweet petite red-headed woman, who was as equally kind, gentle, and compassionate as Sarah, she was able to put me on a Covid recovery plan. Urgent Care, unlike many other clinics, is in the healing business and prescribes what is needed for you to heal, not what is recommended by big Pharma to make a profit. I am so grateful I found them. They are worth every penny you spend out of pocket. They gave me the paperwork to get reimbursement from my insurance company, so that's a bonus. Also, when I told Sarah about the experience I had at the historic Savannah location, she apologized on behalf of the company and reported the incident to her management. If you'd like to look WORSE for $350, go to Tox! I visited the Savannah, GA, location for facial and body services in mid-March. The employee took before and after pictures and if you're going to do that, you're signaling that visible results are to be expected. I booked this service because I had a big social event days later that I wanted to look extra good for. I actually looked better in all of my before pictures than after. I was really disappointed because during the service, the woman who worked on me was not detailed-oriented or aware that she was applying pressure to different parts of corresponding body parts unevenly. For example, she would work on one part of my thigh and then when she was supposed to be doing the equivalent on the other leg, she would be applying pressure to a slightly different area. Initially, I tried to write off my experience as having been beneficial, despite not seeing results, but I've since had a different lymphatic drainage done at a small business in South Carolina and saw dramatic results after that appointment. At one point while at Tox, when I asked about her massaging an organ in my mid section and why that was critical to lymphatic drainage, she said it helps with drainage. Does she understand the benefits or the reason for doing it? It made me feel less certain that the treatment I was getting was helping me. The results speak for themselves. I took my own before and after pictures in the car that showed a similar or bloated look after the service. I wouldn't go back even for a free service here.

After nearly a month of suffering from an absolutely brutal ear nose and throat infection, a litany of steroids and antibiotics, I found The Tox and I remembered hearing about the health benefits of lymphatic massage. I stopped by the studio and met the owner Angela, who was kind enough to chat with me even though she was on her way out. Her background is rooted in medical lymphatic massage and she encouraged me to give it a try. I was on the fence because Dr. Google Warned me against the massage while "actively taking antibiotics " ( I now know that's just due to worried about injury liability ). I saw her again at the Lululemon pop up and after learning more about how the ear nose and throat drain, I pulled the trigger and she booked me on the spot. The morning of my appointment I managed to get a waitlist appointment at my ENT doc and I called desperate to see if The Tox could push back my appointment a few hours so I could attend both. Sweethearts that they are, they said no problem and when I saw my doc, I mentioned the massage to her and she said it was a " great idea." The experience in the studio was like nothing I've encountered before. The whole place is , honestly, a vibe. All black, moody lighting , mellow music. The gals were all super welcoming and accommodating. Based on Angela's suggestion, I booked the 100 minute new client special massage and facial. 10/10 stars! It was both relaxing and .. somehow invigorating? In fact, during my facial, I actually felt my part of sinuses unblock ! It was such a luxurious experience that had been solidified in my mind as a necessity as I am, unfortunately, no stranger to ENT issues. One thing to note - and maybe it was just me, but after my massage when I went to the restroom I felt tingly all over and a little light headed. I ran cool some water over my hands and face and was fine in a couple minutes but maybe just take it easy after you get up from the heated bed. Now, for what you really want to know : what were the results ? Well.. Your mileage may vary, but the morning after, I woke up with clear sinuses and an unblocked ear! and to me, that feels nothing short of a miracle. A couple of important things to know : TIP. This is a beauty / wellness service and these gals work HARD to give you a great experience and tipping is the right thing to do. Drink a a few liters of water in the days leading up to your service and have electrolytes on hand after because in the 10 hours since my service, I was SO THIRSTY. Lastly, if you a Deaf or Hard of Hearing, know that the actual massage room is DARK. I have no doubt that your therapist will accommodate your needs but definitely communicate before you get to the back and you can't see what they are saying. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend you give The Tox a try. It's an investment in yourself which is honestly, the kind that has the highest returns.

Her nurse called me and said that I had a calcium score of 1365 and 4 blocked arteries, two of which were 70%. She went on to tell me that Dr Hanna wanted me to call in Sep to make an appt in Dec. What?? I thought I was dying. I called her office for an earlier appointment and the clerk informed me that Dr Hanna could not see me until December. Luckily, my PCD referred me to another cardiologist who is going to complete the appropriate testing and follow-up care.
