I work within the industry, have seen how Covid has ravaged our population, am well aware the need for donations and intended to begin being a frequent donor as BioLife-Eau Claire was a close proximity. I created an account, scheduled online, arrived on time and brought all correct forms of ID. Most of the check in process went well. Not yet having donating...TWO hours later, sitting with the THIRD technician, I advised her of a graft repair -thoracic aneurysm 12 years prior. Not technically a "Heart problem" as per one of the questions but she said I was not allowed to ever donate plasma. This didnt sound right. When questioned, she was unable to explain other than "Its on the list". No other staff on site for explanation. No redirection. Nothing. I was to leave. No donation to be given. This is simply untrue. I have been cleared for donating organs, plasma, blood etc. I am aware this technician lacks the medical knowledge/ability to offer more than "Its on the list we are sorry for your time spent here" (She was kind) but to NOT have an alternate route for communication is BEYOND dissapointing when the demand for donations is so very high. A negative reflection for this facility and company. I will be donating through a separate establishment and directing patients elsewhere as well. read more

BioLife here in eau Claire great great hospitality and Casey is one of the best stickers out there

Excellent customer service! Great place to donate! Be sure to use a referral code if you're a first timer!

They broke my vein. First time donating in a month because they lost my blood sample so many times, and this is the experience I get. read more

BioLife Plasma Services - First time donating in a month because I couldn't before since they lost my blood sample couple of times. They ended up breaking my vein. - Blood & Plasma Donation Centers Near Me - Eau Claire, Wisconsin

This place was extremely unprofessional. The management have no idea what they're doing and will waste your time so I wouldn't bother trying to donate. read more

Clean atmosphere, friendly staff & good pay for the amount of time you are there to donate.

Over an hour wait to get in. They scheduled too many appointments & not enough people working to handle the customers. Do t waste your time here read more

Had enough with Eau Claire bio life had to bring my 12 year old son with me. jennifer s. Told me that he couldn't sit in the waiting room yet they had ten people sitting in the waiting room to which there was no reply so my wife and I dec that he's twelve years old and can wait in the car and play with the phone for 45 minutes then while I was waiting in line Mary comes up and says is the child still with you or waiting in the car because we won't say anything but some one might call the police for a 12 year old by himself in the car I said I'd had it and walked out read more

Nobody seemed to know what they were doing. Running around like chickens with their heads cut off. I called SIX TIMES with no response, left voicemails, etc. just to get there and have them tell me I didn't complete paperwork right and that they would have to reschedule. Beyond unimpressed. read more

Here's the thing, I work in healthcare. I'm not frequenting this place simply because I need or want the money. I'm doing it because I realize there is a need. The first time I went to Eau Claire's Biolife. I created an account online, scheduled an appointment, arrived on time with all of the appropriate documentation they requested and was told after approximately 45 minutes of jumping through hoops I couldn't donate that day simply because they failed to inform me that (since I donated 13 years ago in Green Bay) I'd have to return on a different day as they need to call and request my information from that office. They couldn't have told me that prior to my arrival?!? They couldn't have added that information in as a disclosure when they sent a reminder call the night before?!?!! So, I had done MY part, jumped through all their hoops, wasted my time and gas getting there for nothing! I was informed I would receive a call when they got my information. They never called. When I called back to verify they had received my info from the Green Bay office I was told they had. Then I was asked if I'd like to schedule my appointment in Eau Claire or Green Bay!!!! I told the young lady, considering I live in Chippewa Falls, I'd stick with the Eau Claire center!!!! My second trip to Eau Claire's Biolife. Again I scheduled my appointment online, brought all of the required documentation and arrived 10 minutes ahead of schedule. The staff seemed disinterested in helping me, almost arguing over who would. I could tell from the conversation they were short staffed. Again I went through about 20 to 30 minutes of hoops. Following this process I was taken to a station where the phlebotomist and the staff member who checked me in talked over me as if I wasn't there. They talked again about staffing issues. The phlebotomist jabbed around on my arm briefly and told me I couldn't donate because she could not feel a vein. I was then given a pamphlet on how to achieve healthy veins. I workout 4-6 times a week. I don't smoke, I don't drink, and I eat healthy. Bottom line: Incompetence, stupidity, poor customer service, terrible bedside manner, and understaffed suggesting poor management! read more

Donating was going good for about a year but it seams in the last 6 months management doesn't have a clue. When it takes an hour to get to the donation point its very frustrating. It used to take an hr total now its almost 2. read more

I donated many times in Stevens Point and had no problem. Once I started donating in Eau Claire I quit because the machines kept breaking and they don't pay you if that happens. Also, you can't donate for another two days. read more

GREAT way to make extra money fast. You can donate twice a week, and all you need to sign up is an address, ID, and social security card (I think). I started when I was 18, and they paid $20 the first donation and $20 the second donation. Now (as of August 2014), they donate $20 the first donation, and $30-45 the second. Depending on if they have a special going on it will depend. And they give out prizes if you donate. My Aunt has won an Ipad, and two gift cards for about $50. I've won a gift card for $75 and a brand new Wii U deluxe edition console. Overall, I've made thousands of dollars since I've started donating. And all you have to do is lay down in a comfy sofa for an hour while they pump plasma out of you. Takes about an hour. read more

This location is extremely unprofessional and lazy. They offer a free day care where they don't even acknowledge your child and have their back turned to the kids. The employees lack knowledge on basic phlebotomy skills and tend to gossip while machines are going off and they ignore the patrons. I had an IV infiltrate and the girl working didn't even know what to. She screamed and ran away for help. I had to tel her to take the needle out so I could hold pressure. So when they screw up a venipuncture you suffer and are not allows back. The manager does not know how to accurately listen to concerns and only throws out lines she learned in a seminar. After my last experience with them I will not be donating anymore and have encouraged my family to stop as well. read more

Terrible! Went to donate for the first time. Had all the items that were listed, ID, ssn, and a piece of mail with name and address on it. But when I was at BioLife they said because it wasn't my lease agreement, they would not accept. Big waste of time and such a hassle to donate. read more

Friendly staff, free daycare (that my daughter loves), easy "in and out" system. Only people who don't like Biolife are people who are mad they didn't meet all the requirements. There's no hassle at all. read more

I went into Biolife recently with my boyfriend while in town with him. It was his first appointment and while filling out all the questionnaires and first time donor information, I was not allowed anywhere near him and told multiple times by very unfriendly and rude employees to wait in the waiting area. Being a nursing student I knew this was wrong (and having more of an education than the employees there), as each individual has the right to allow other people to be near them. At a recent clinic appointment with him, the doctor gave me the option to stay in the room during a physical. Seems weird that I can be in the room during an examination but can't see questions? Furthermore, sent to the waiting area for 2.5 hours and twiddling my thumbs while getting scolded by bitchy phlebotomists is not the place I wanted to be. Donating plasma is great, but maybe try to go to a place or another location that won't shove people away. read more
