Beware of Shady Pricing Practices and Unkept Promises…read more I really tried to give this business the benefit of the doubt, but unfortunately, my experience turned out to be disappointing, misleading, and ultimately a waste of time and money. I initially discovered them through a Groupon promotion. To my surprise, I was charged for multiple Groupons I couldn't even use. Although they acknowledged the error and eventually refunded me, it took several months to receive the money back. That should have been my first red flag, but I chose to move forward anyway. My first laser hair removal treatment was actually great. The technician was professional, and the results were solid. I was told that if I signed up for a membership, I'd save money over time and get consistent coverage on the areas we discussed. Based on that oral agreement, I signed up. Then things started to unravel. When I returned for subsequent treatments, I noticed inconsistencies in the pricing. Areas that were supposed to be included at a certain rate were suddenly being charged differently. When I brought this up, the justification I was given was baffling. First, I was told that their pricing was still lower than other places (irrelevant if you're charging more than what was agreed). Second, I was informed that a former employee named "Jennifer" had quoted people incorrectly. But that's not my responsibility as a customer--and they never sent out any notice, nor did they offer a chance to opt out of the membership or adjust it based on the updated policies. To make matters worse, their pricing structure is deliberately confusing and feels like a money grab. For example, "upper leg" doesn't mean what you think it does. Apparently, different parts of the upper leg are billed separately. A bikini area is different from a Brazilian, and a Brazilian somehow doesn't include the backside unless you pay extra. What's next--charging separately for your left and right knee? When I finally said I didn't want to continue the service and mentioned I'd be leaving reviews to share my experience, the technician actually threatened me for saying so. Instead of taking responsibility or showing any concern for how they treat clients, they responded with intimidation. That says a lot about how they operate. This kind of nickel-and-diming, coupled with threatening behavior when held accountable, is completely unacceptable. It shows a lack of transparency, professionalism, and integrity. If an employee misquoted people, that's on the business to correct--fairly and openly--not to quietly change policies and expect customers to go along with it. At best, this place is disorganized. At worst, they're knowingly engaging in bait-and-switch tactics to squeeze more money out of unsuspecting clients--and then threatening them when they speak up. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your services. There are plenty of reputable places that don't play games with pricing or bully customers who ask questions.

ZERO STARS!! Nothing but a very expensive nightmare with the Biote Hormone Pellet Therapy! I went in for a consultation and was excited to give it a try. $350 for pellets insertion $140 for blood work. They convinced both my husband and I the treatment could help him as well. They NEVER told us the price is twice the amount for men's treatment until after insertion and we paid. So $700 for my husbands treatment was a shock. They also LOST the first blood work they drew from my husband. LOST IT! He ofcourse had to redo it. My pellets were non effective weeks after insertion so they had me back in for a "boost". They brought in a "specialist" to go over why it wasn't working for me. She saw they never gave me the correct dose. Surprise. 2nd round went better. My poor husband had nothing trouble with this place and the pellets. It's been a true nightmare for him. After "loosing" his first blood work (the lady that drew the blood no longer works there....no shock), they finally served the pellets. Weeks after insertion he felt worse. Fatigue, minor memory loss, etc. They finally agreed to draw bold again and attempt a "boost". Weeks pass again and no change. They said to go to our family doctor. Found out he was given too much estrogen!!! So we had to get an RX to help that. More weeks pass and he is now experiencing pain in the area of insertion. They said could be scar tissue or something else and to again "go see our Dr". Well I noticed a round white bump in the area he said was painful. Looked like liquid to come out so I got a needle to put a tiny piercing to release liquid. NOPE!! A PELLET POPPED OUT!!! It obviously was not inserted into the fat area, but on top of a muscle! He called to speak to someone at Ritz and give pics. He said it's been a nightmare, never worked, pellet did not dissolve, and we would like a refund. A few days later they call back to say "sorry. Nothing we can do. No refunds". IT DID NOT DISSOLVE therefore it could not work!!! Now he has a permanent hole on his buttock from the mess they made. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY and find a reputable, trained Biote professional. They may be good for facials BUT NOT hormone therapy!! Poor customer service. We had to constantly track them down for help. HORRIBLE. Pics are attached. UPDATE **DO NOT GO TO RITZ FOR BIOTE PELLET THERAPY!!** as of yesterday, 8/12/18 my husband was still not feeling well after the ordeal at Ritz and their incompetence with Biote Pellet insertion. As per my previous post, a pellet popped out after causing a good deal of pain. Well yet another pellet has come to the surface and "popped out". My husband said it is not only painful, but causes headache & nausea. He called Ritz to tell them this happened again. Carla, who apparently is in charge, again said there is nothing they can or will do. He asked for a partial refund at least since obviously the pellets did not dissolve. Carla refused. I'd had it done previously at another spa for several years, and it worked perfectly. I also had the threading done on my lips, and the threading came out within a month. I went back later so they could see it didn't work, and they said I should have come back sooner. But when I did go, they visibly could see there was no difference in my lips from prior pictures. The customer service used to be great, but now, it is terrible. I don't recommend the spa for either of these treatments, and they definitely get a zero on customer service.

" LOL Let me start this review off by saying that one's experience and spa, at any point... Should never feel rushed or make one on edge. It is taking me a long time to post this review, because I like to believe the best in people. I want to think that she was having a bad day... But I feel an obligation to let clients know what they're getting into. NOTE: I was going to send this in an email to the former owner, Lisa but unfortunately the spa is *SHOCKINGLY* under new ownership now. (I visited the salon on my last trip to TN last July.) Emmy started the facial at 12:48 and ended the facial at 1:22. I'm not great at time management, but I could tell she was rushing, and she cut it short. I asked Emmy if she did the micro dermabrasion near my milia's on my eyes and she said no I'm not gonna put scrub on your eyes. I understand the eye area is delicate. I have worked in several high and spas in resorts. These milia's were big enough to get to safely- I only made the appointment because I was told him I saw that the aesthetician would take care of them. Upon getting into the treatment room, after I laid down onto the bed and was greeted with a knock maybe 10 seconds after getting undressed- I felt rushed, pressured and uneasy. I just washed my hair, and when she started putting stuff in my face, I asked if she had a headband or towel to keep it out of my hair. Not only did she not have a headband in the room - when I requested one she said, "I think I have one out there.." (with the pregnant pause and subtext of "but I'm not going to go the extra mile." (When anyone who has gotten a facial or done one properly knows the hair must be out of a client's face.) My response: "Oh if it's far no worries..." She never got the headband and continued with her "facial." Emmy immediately told me she couldn't do a scalp massage and a hand massage (or she'd run out of time,) and I said "okay, great as long as you can do the extractions!" Emmy didn't explain at all what she was putting on my face while she was doing it there was no communication it was completely uncomfortable.. nor did she ask if I had any sensitivities or allergies. RED FLAG. Nor did she ask if I wanted oil in my hair for the scalp massage I asked Emmy to get rid of the milias on my cheeks initially, but upon leaving on my way out at the front on, (in the reception area because I noticed she either forgot or ignored my comment and my right cheek had redness and heavy irritation due to her poking at the milias and not finishing.) When I asked about the milias she avoided completely and the two she picked at..note: this was in the reception area she said "THAT'S TINY and I have another client.. so I have to go." Her response in the most uninterested/unprofessional and catty tone. I was shocked at the unprofessionalism I was given, not only because of my experience, working in spas and going to many ... But also because there were other clients and the reception area, as well as the (obviously nice but learning,) brand new receptionist. If I was the owner or manager at this establishment, I would be absolutely mortified. I was embarrassed on behalf of the owner because it's a really cute place.
