I'd say probably about 80% of the vendors are staples and there's about 20% new or seasonal vendors. Some of my favorites include the pretzel stand, fruit and tomato stand ($20 per bucket!), the paleta hand trucks and the one or two bakeries. I love supporting local. Plus, all the vendors above are super friendly and I love interacting with them on a weekly basis. As for prepared food (besides the pretzels), I'll be honest, I think most are pretty overpriced and I don't think anything stands out. We've tried a few food trucks and stands but it's been kind of disappointing every time. I'm waiting to be pleasantly surprised. I think the empanada stand is probably the best prepared food I've tried but I get it only once in a while (the line can be super long). The vibes are great. I think URBN Market has organized a fantastic weekly market at Mosaic and I love the seasonal event weekends too. Definitely check it out if you're in the area!

This is the big local farmers market. There's plenty of parking, since the market is set up next to a large commuter garage. More and more vendors take credit cards as the years go by, until now I think it might be all of them. Many, many small children are here, but plenty of people without children as well. You do have to pass the political tent gauntlet on your way out of the garage, and the guy with his guitar caterwauling every week.

It's open from 8am to 1pm. Greenheart Juices - With a large variety of juices to choose from, the refreshing cold-pressed Summer Crush watermelon juice is my favorite! Definitely ask for a sample and the staff is always so nice! Greenheart is also at the Mosaic District, Bethesda, and other DMV markets. Savagely Good Pies - The creamy Spinach and Cheese quiche and the Asparagus and Melted Leek quiche are hearty and delicious! Don't forget about dessert - the Apple Pie is divine! The pies are often sold out - so highly recommend pre-ordering. Los Sabrositos - The wood-fired Breakfast pizza with red peppers, onions, scrambled egg, bacon, and Mexican cheese is scrumptious and filling! While the crepes are tasty, they don't keep as well and the pizza is my pick! The fresh Mango, Pineapple, and Strawberry and Banana smoothies are refreshing and delicious! Mama's Donut Bites - The soft bite-size cinnamon sugar donut holes are sooo goooood and easy to devour! The staff was really nice and gave us a dozen for the price of 6! We have since gone to other farmer's markets that are dog-friendly, such as Manassas Park Farmer's Market and Mosaic District Farmer's Market during the weekends. The Thursday market in Old Town Manassas is okay for produce and some snacks - but also not dog-friendly. Note that there's no law about not allowing dogs to open-air markets. If the point of this rule is to alienate dog owners who have money to spend, then you have become successful.
