Now Phoenician only has 18 holes, lost 9 holes to vacation homes being build around the course. The course is still beautiful and back 9 has some good views with beautiful landscape surrounding the course. As for the course, it is in excellent condition with minor brown patches due to the summer heat. Most holes are target golf so Make sure you know where to aim. It is challenging due to undulating fairways and greens where our group truly enjoy the round. Will definitely return when I find good deals on teeoff.com again. Nice golf carts with TuneIn stations. Cooler with ice to chill your canteens. Chill bottled water provided in most comfort stations Friendly OSP and staffs. Bathroom on course: A+

We enjoyed a lovely dinner unfortunately we weren't close to the restaurant but when we called the front desk we where told the bell boy come to our door with door to door golfcart service . J&G offered an incredible dining experience. I felt like I was at home here and I can't recommend this Luxury resort enough. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that all our needs were met. If you're looking for luxury accommodations at your fingertips this place is an absolute must-try!

He not only tried to help me with the problem but he researched how to help me and called me back when he found the information. After figuring out what needed to be done, it was needing a managers approval. James was able to get the situation to the manager and he personally called me to explain how we could fix the situation. The manager called another club and made the situation work out. Unbelievable effort Customer service has been declining in pretty much every area of the service industry over the last 5 yrs or more. The effort given by James and the manager was nice to receive. Thank you very much to James and the Manager (I think his name is Josh.)

He asked why we needed another cart. He never told us our rounds came with a cart. I also witnessed 2 guys (who we ended up playing with) who checked in got the worse service. Andy threw (literally) their receipt and credit card at them. It's just unacceptable, especially first thing in the morning prior to tee off. I have staff on the front line and would never let this slide. I hope he gets some good customer service training or put him behind the office away from the public.

It's Masters Week! That must explain why I have been getting the chance to play a bunch of golf! I…read moregot lucky with a bunch of invitations to play some great places this week! When a friend (not just a buddy...anybody that that invites me to play at a place like this is someone that you would seriously entertain donating a kidney to) asks you come out a play this track, I only have one word for you...go. If you have to clear your schedule, fly home from a business meeting, tell the kids that daddy just can't be there for the piano recital or t-ball game, just do it. Why? Are these courses the best in the world? Well, I would not go that far. There are a number of courses around the country (and even in Arizona) that I think well of...but this place is definitely in the top five. Whisper Rock has two beautiful desert courses. The Fazio 18 is as nice a desert track as you will find. The sight lines are superb, every hole lays out nicely in front of you, and you will need to think about every shot (including your putts...remember where Phoenix is, and remember that these greens are generally pretty close to tour speed). There aren't houses surrounding the course, and it does feel like a walk in the park (OK, a desert park, but you get the idea). The caddies are great...uniformly impressive in their knowledge of the game, their knowledge of the course and their affability during the round...they all pass the beer test (would you want to spend a cross country flight having a beer with these guys as your seatmate? Yes=pass;no=fail). The entire staff is superb and at the same time welcoming and friendly. There is none of the country club crap that you occasionally find at some clubs (I was member at Blackhawk in Danville, CA for many years, because I lived there...but I always disliked the snooty atmosphere...it was one of the big reasons that I didn't join a club when we moved to AZ). Whisper Rock is a GOLF club, not a country club and everything revolves around that fact. The practice area is, frankly, the best I have ever seen! It's difficult to imagine the golf shot that you can't practice here. The facilities and surroundings are beautiful...pleasant and comfortable, but elegant nevertheless. A number of tour pros and TV golf personalities are members at Whisper Rock and I see why. Terrific courses and practice facilities, comfortable surroundings, real camaraderie and friendliness from everybody. What great week for golf!

VERY exclusive and private. A treat to play if you ever get invited !…read more You will drive right by it unless you know exactly where it is. There's a reason for that.....

We then grabbed our golf balls and clubs and headed on out. Once outside, we stood in line for the black course. Both the red and black courses had long lines but we opted for the black. We waited about 15 minutes to finally be able to start. It was really busy so we moved slow as there was one big group ahead of us. There was also a big ol line behind us. We played all 18 holes and it took close to 3 hours to complete. We had lots of fun though and the music was lit. The course itself was challenging and fun. It was a nice night out as it was not hot and they had the fans going on at full blast. This place was great! Will be back! They have military and senior discounts available!

Upon checking in and paying, there is an assortment of putters and color-coded golf balls so you know whose ball is whose. Our party of six (max players in a group) played our way through the black 18-hole course in about an hour. Tiger Woods designed this course with two 18-hole courses, red and black (his Sunday colors) and it's a surprisingly challenging play. The green carpet is dense and plush, not like the Astroturf of many similar courses. The "sand traps" are areas of white carpet that is slightly shaggier than the green. Food and beverages are available on the course with a QR code to scan and order, there is a nice outdoor spot where we sat and ordered lunch. Next to us was a play area with ping-pong and bags, and a fenced toddler play yard. Our lunch was good and I highly recommend checking it out if you're in Scottsdale!
