Food is fine. Service was weird, a little disjointed. In the end we all figured out what the seemingly random questions referred to, and our answers were eventually heard. This location has been in Claremore for a few years now. We've been here multiple times and have always thought the food was fine. Is it off the charts, blow you away kinda place? No, but that's probably not the goal. Is it somewhere you can go and get decent BBQ quickly? Sure. The last couple of times we visited it was pretty slow traffic. Hope that's not a sign that they are going to be gone at some point. Claremore is a bastion of Mexican food places and not much else. Since Cotton Eyed Joes went under there really isn't a BBQ option other than Rib Crib or Billy Sims (First world problems-right?). I ordered delivery Wednesday night the food was really good. Beans and potato salad where very good. Hot links where really good as was the chicken only bad thing was had to my fingers to eat potato salad and drink the beans but flavor and taste made up for the mess. Got one of their salads topped with chicken (I wanted pulled pork but they were out), a side of corn and shared ribs with the others in my party. The chicken was very good; the salad a bit plain (lettuce, onions, corn - they were out of tomatoes) and they forgot the dressing on my 'to go' order so I made some myself at home. The corn was a bit overcooked and underseasoned... the rib was just not good. Almost tasted chemical-y? The service, however, was extremely friendly. This place smells like heaven when you walk through the door! It wasn't as good as the NC BBQ I grew up with but nonetheless it was delicious. The lady at the register was obviously new but she was sweet and did not get frustrated with me for not knowing what I wanted. I've eaten here for years and it used to be awesome...5/5 stars for its category. However, over the past 6months it gas gone downhill. The friendly staff are mostly replaced with rude people who seem bothered you're there. The once good food has been stripped down so much (to save on food cost, the employees tell me) that it is no longer good. Watch your ticket, too. Mine had an overcharge thus trip for a sandwich I didn't get and, when I questioned it, they seemed offended. While the sandwich was great but there wasn't much meat on what few ribs (3) we received. That was supposed to be a half rack of ribs. The CORN WAS SO DRIED OUT AND DISCOLORED we had to pitch it. THE BEANS WERE ALSO DRIED OUT. The toast was cold. The server knew the corn was bad and the beans were dried out. When he was told to put out fresh he just mixed in the old, dried out beans in with the fresh. Service was very, very slow. read more

We drove through Claremore back in 2009 and stopped here for lunch. I had the beef brisket, and I've been longing for it ever since. Just because it has a "big" name on the store front, doesn't mean it's going to be good. I've done 1 take out order and wasn't impressed with the quality and flavor of what I ordered. I ordered a family variety pack. Don't know if they still has this, because I did the take out some time ago. decided to try billy sims and was disappointed. when we called in the order, they asked what type of sauce we wanted and we said mild, we got none. my wife's salad was lettuce with a little cheese and dressing, no tomato or anything else. the pulled pork was burnt as were the ribs. the bbq beans were more like pork n beans warmed, no bbq to it. the potato salad was way over seasoned with mustard and the potatos were under cooked. i will go back to rib crib or cottoneyed joe's in the future. read more
