Great food and bar atmosphere. I had a delicious breaded tenderloin. Service was good. It was busy during the Monday lunch hour that we were there.

Billy's Famous Tenderloin Sandwich - 5oz.

We stopped in here for a quick bite to eat. We arrived around lunch time and this place was busier than I thought it would be. They had one server taken care of the entire floor and she handled it like a champ. She was very welcoming and got our food in no time. My wife ordered their Classic Rueben Sandwich. It came with the traditional ingredients. Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and thousand island sauce. All in between a marble rye bread and served with a side of sweet potato fries. The sandwich was delicious and although I wouldn't order it again, my wife sure would. I ordered their their Billy's Famous Tenderloin sandwich. They offer two sizes, a 5 oz for 12.49 and a 10 oz for only $2 more. You would think the 10 oz would be the no brainer, but I opted for the smaller one. It was honestly more than off but I really wish they would take the 5oz off the menu and stick to only offering the 10oz. I would have gladly paid for the bigger one if that was the only option. The sandwich came with a sideC and my initial choice Sour Cream and Cheddar Tots was not available so I got Mac and Cheese instead. They were good as was the tenderloin sandwich. It was perfectly fried and serviced with lettuce and tomatoes. Overall very satisfied with our lunch here and would definitely consider returning. I will definitely order their 10oz next time.

Large pork sandwich with fries

Ok, so true story. A business colleague and I were in town for our annual visit and got lunch here before our flight out. The night before, I ordered a prime ribeye steak at St. Elmo. God's honest truth, the pork sandwich from Billy's was significantly better! We got the order to go so when we came in, we dealt with the bartender. What a nice woman. And the place just had a great vibe to it - regulars at the bar that chatted us up. The fries are those large cut steak fries. Very good! But man, that pork sandwich was fantastic!! We ate it in the food court area at the airport. We had someone come up to us and ask where we got it - thinking we got in the airport. Too funny. Highly recommend!!!

This is the antique beer cooler - nice cold beer!!

The vibe was kind of like Cheers where everybody knows your name, but they were VERY welcoming of us outsiders. They were so friendly, I knew everyone's name before I left. The jalapeño cheese cubes were super yummy as was their famous tenderloin. Kelly provided us with great service and a friendly atmosphere. Another cool feature was their antique beer cooler!! It kept the beer cold and was a really beat to see.

Visited Billy O'Neals for dinner. Their web site describes them as a "friendly, family owned Irish Pub." We will 100% agree with that statement! The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The pub had several "regulars" who were all also very friendly. We were made to feel very welcome by all. We ordered beers, fried mushrooms and the whole broasted chicken. The mushrooms were very good. Hot, nicely battered and served with ranch dressing. They were $8.49. The whole broasted chicken was a lot of food. But, we wanted left overs. It was the whole bird... 2 breasts, 2 wings, 2 thighs, and 2 drumsticks. It was served with rolls and your choice of potato wedges or coleslaw. We got the potato wedges and they were huge.... Each about 1/4 of the potato! The price of all was $32. Everything was served hot. The chicken was good and moist but could have used a bit more seasoning for flavor. We really liked the potato wedges. I ate them with ketchup, my wife with ranch dressing. (She's from Oklahoma and says Ranch is the Ketchup of Oklahoma.). I had a bottled beer, my wife a draft. My wife's Blue Moon draft beer for $7 was overpriced in our opinion. But the friendly pub atmosphere made up for it a little. If on the west side of Indianapolis (it's off W 10th in Chapel Hill Shopping Center), stop by and give them a try. They are easy to miss but you will be made to feel welcome at this family owned pub!

I randomly found this place and it was a great experience. The customer service was on point and the waitress helped me through the menu. When I went it was slow which was fine. The place has a nice feel and there are plenty of TVs to watch while you wait for food and also can start up good conversations. I had the tenderloin sandwich and chili which both were good. I can see myself coming back especially on a game day.

Can't believe I had no idea that this place existed, and it's been here for around 40 years (if I remember correctly)! We came in because of a Fox 59 promotion. When you walk in, it is a quaint little Irish bar. The place is not huge, but does have bar and table seating. We decided to sit at the bar. The bartender was so friendly and greeted us almost immediately. We wanted to try a bit of everything, so we started out with wings, I ordered fish and chips(fiance ordered mac and cheese), tater tot balls, and finally chocolate brownie pie (when we feast, we FEAST) Wings- very meaty and had a lot of flavor. We ordered buffalo, but when they came out, they looked like bbq. They were for sure buffalo though, there sauce is just a deeper color. Not too spicy, it was the perfect amount of heat! Fish and chips- 10/10. The best fried cod I've found at an Irish Pub in Indy. The problem I run into a lot of the time with this meal is that the fish is so greasy, that you can feel your arteries clogging with each bite. Not these!! They had the perfect amount of grease, and had a great breading on them which made them a little crispy. It came with a slaw that was amazing as well, it tasted as it was made in house. Also, we ordered tater tot balls... I have no idea how no one has ever thought of this but man these are good. It's like a cheesy tater tot, deep fried We of course had to finish with pie! They had 3 different flavors that day (Saturday)- chocolate brownie, banana, and pecan. We were in here probably about 2 hours, eating and drinking and just chilling out, just because we loved the vibe so much. So glad that we came in and we've already talked about returning soon! Highly recommend!!

Best tenderloin on the west side, if not all of Indy! We recently rediscovered this place after several years and I'm so glad we did. Everything is still as good as it's always been, from the must-try fish and chips to ginormous 1/2 lb burgers. Prices are amazingly fair, and the restaurant usually has some kind of great nightly special. We usually have our kids with us so we're happy that they're welcome in the dining room, because they both love Billy's kids menu and soups.

Interior of Billy O'Neal's. It's not the best shot, but gives an idea of distancing.

I decided to do a post-vaccination celebration and snag a new Yelp review. So, I headed over to Indy's Westside for a bit and checked out Billy O'Neal's Pub & Eatery. I became intrigued by Billy O'Neal's when it was acquired by the same family that owns my beloved Cafe Audrey in Fort Ben. Fellow Yelper Rick G. really liked this place and spoke well of their breaded tenderloin. I don't spend as much time on this side of town, but it's a sunny Saturday and I had some extra time. So, why not? Billy O'Neal's is located on the far west end of Chapel Hill Shopping Center. It's an older, somewhat run down strip center across from a couple Wayne Township schools. There are accessible spots for parking, though none were available today. That said, i was easily able to find a spot that would work. As this is an older shopping center, they have ramps rather than curb cuts. The sidewalk is rather low to the ground, so the ramp is somewhat slight. It's definitely not ADA, but it works. There's two doorways to enter - the first a single door and the second offers one door to the bar (21+) and one door to the eatery. I found both doors somewhat heavy. I entered the eatery - it was a "seat yourself" situation. There are signs indicating compliance with health guidelines and that did seem to be the case for the most part. However, the tables were a tad close together - that seems inevitable here as Billy O'Neal's is honestly much smaller than I expected. It's an Irish pub type setting and the interior is fair wood-centric, but I just expected a much better space from what I'd seen and heard. The eatery is a combination of tables and booths. The tables are both high-top and traditional tables. My guess is probably only 5-6 qualify as accessible. Nothing I saw in the bar qualified as accessible. I sat down at a four top and removed a chair (setting it to the side). I arrived at just after the lunch hour. There were only 3-4 parties in the restaurant. My server arrived fairly quickly and was friendly throughout. Staffing seemed to be pretty light - she was doing quite a bit. I was tempted to go with fish & chips, an Irish pub favorite. However, I opted for their 1/2-pound burger with side (fries). I ordered my usual unsweetened iced tea. The burger arrived as ordered. The fries were nicely portioned. I will admit I looked at the burger and thought there was no way it was a 1/2 pound. However, I didn't weigh it so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. The burger was good, but not an upper tier burger. I would likely go tenderloin or fish & chips the next time. The fries were definitely good and I would easily order them again. I did get my always desired refill, though i was really lacking in ice. The bill came in at just under $15. It's a modest value. Overall, I liked Billy O'Neal's. It's not a destination spot, but it's a place I wouldn't hesitate to return to if in the area. Given pandemic needs and social distancing, I doubt I'd visit if they had more customers because it felt a bit more close than my comfort level allows. Since they only had a couple other customers, it worked. The service was fine - definitely not Cafe Audrey level, but it was just fine. This actually felt like a 3.5 to me. I'm opting up because of the attractive atmosphere and good food. I'm also deferring to 4 on my COVID curve that acknowledges there are challenges these days for architecturally challenged spots. I will admit that my hopes were higher here, but I enjoyed my visit and meal and I had some time to read. So, 4 stars it is and it was a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Mini Tenderloin

I like Billy O'Neals. The tenderloin is on point and you can't miss with fries (regular or sweet potato) on the side. They have enough on draft to keep you happy with an IPA and your dad satisfied with a garage lager in a big frosty glass. There is a bar side and a little dining room side so there's a place for everyone. Service is okay and I hope everybody had fun on Tuesday night trivia or Wednesday karaoke or the Thursday 50/50 raffle or whatever's going on that night.

Pork Tenderloin

The decor was nice to walk in. It was very clean. They hosted my friends and I after we volunteered. I ordered the pork tenderloin. It was HUGE! I enjoyed the taste and meat was tender. Small issue was there was a bit to much breading for my taste. The fries were ok. Wife had a cod fillet and it was ok. We enjoyed the service and may try it again if we are in the neighborhood.

Soggy fish led to soggy fries when the fish was put on top of my fish and chips order. Don't think I will return.

We sat in a secluded area that honestly felt like we were on a boat. I got a Guiness on draft (because you HAVE to when you're at an Irish bar, right?). It was smooth and frothy. We got the pretzel bites and beer cheese (really good) and fried pickles. I got a french dip sandwich - which was on soft toast which made it really hard to dip in the au juis with fries (which were really cripsy and flavorful). Honestly, I've had better dip sandwiches so I wouldn't get it again however they have a very large menu and lots of Irish favorites. Will go back to the establishment for something else. Street parking- didn't see any private flat lot however there is a parking garage about a block away available. Service was good, no complaints.

As pizza enthusiasts, I am so disappointed in us for not having ever been here before! We landed at…read morethe Indianapolis International Airport and were extremely hungry after a long day of travel. I checked Yelp for saved restaurants in Indy (we live in Hamilton County) and Brozinni's was one of the closest to our location. You can never go wrong with pizza. We arrived and the dining room was nearly full on a Saturday afternoon. The atmosphere was very light and lively. There's an indoor go-kart track connected to the business, and we noticed lots of teens and families making their way through the restaurant and out a side door (the restrooms are also located through those doors). I wondered why the entrance would require folks to walk through the restaurant but later found that the track does have a separate entrance. Our server came by to take our drink orders, and although we were ready to order food too, she asked that we hold off until she came back. She later apologized for the delay in receiving our pizza too, so I think she was really busy. Nevertheless, we ordered a beer and an apple ale and eventually ordered the potato skins app and the 16" Park Avenue pie (pepperoni, sausage, ham and bacon). The skins are made in-house and are substantial in size and toppings. They are really a good, quality option. They came with sour cream, but we requested some ranch dressing as well, and one of the food runners came right out with it for us. They had several young people working as runners and bussers and the managers/owners (I'm not sure of their titles) were stepping in and helping as well. We love to see an operation where everyone is working to make sure that the customers are taken care of. We demolished our appetizer and barely had room for the pie when it arrived but ate some anyway because it was hot and looked so delicious. The crust was perfect. The toppings were generous. 16" is a massive undertaking for two people! We enjoyed the pizza that night and the next and we can't wait to go back!

Tonight I opted for something new and tried Hell's Kitchen- basically a buffalo chicken calzone. It was ok at first, but the more I ate the less I liked it. They went way overboard with the Frank's Hot Sauce. It's not "cooked into" the food- it's like they just poured a bottle of sauce into it. It was completely "wet" and over saturated with sauce. 1/3 to 1/2 as much would have been plenty of flavor, but this was just too much. The bottom of the calzone was soggy from the excessive sauce. I like spicy food, but this was like drinking Frank's straight from the bottle. Too much of a good thing.... I would not order Hell's Kitchen again. Next time, I think I'll stick to The Bronx. Their calzones are huge, and fairly priced- I just didn't like this flavor because they overdid it. Service was good, as always. I've never had a bad server here.
