Today I was walking by hungry, noticed they had bowls, and decided to give it a try. I got the Teriyaki Chicken Bowl and it was phenomenal. The salad was HUGE and everything was layered so beautifully that it almost felt too pretty to dig into. Almost. If I lived nearby, I would honestly turn this place into my meal prep because one bowl could easily be two lunches for me. I already have my eye on the Mediterranean Bowl, so I will definitely be back. One tip: order online! I didn't realize until after I ordered at the counter that they actually encourage online ordering, and it definitely seems to be the way to go. Ordering in person was a little awkward because I walked up to the counter and the person working initially walked away, so I stood there for a bit before he realized I was actually trying to place an order. No one was rude at all, it just seems like their system is much more geared toward online orders. While I was waiting, several people came in, grabbed their food almost immediately, and left. That was when I realized they clearly knew something I didn't. So: get the Teriyaki Chicken Bowl, order it online, and enjoy having enough food for tomorrow's lunch too. I finally understand why this place is always busy.

I decided to stop in at Ghostburger for lunch to escape the crowds at the DC Convention Center…read moreduring the book festival and apparently Ghostburger didn't get the memo! They were seriously understaffed, and with a line out the door, the place was BUSY. That said, the staff was doing their best to keep up with the constant flow of customers. I was able to grab a table, and interestingly enough, ordering through DoorDash was much faster than ordering directly through the cashier. I ordered the Barbie Girl burger, which was pretty good overall, although it arrived a little soggy. The onion rings were definitely overcooked and greasy, but they still had decent flavor. Since I arrived around happy hour, I grabbed a glass of wine and enjoyed my lunch. Considering how slammed they were, the servers actually did a decent job. They were running around like crazy but remained friendly and attentive when they could. I definitely want to give Ghostburger another try when they're properly staffed and it's not quite as chaotic. I have a feeling the experience, and my burger, will be much better under normal circumstances! Worth another visit.

What I love most is, + the patties are seasoned well and taste fresh + the burger isn't overly greasy + onions, pickles, etc on the burger taste fresh + they offer a buy one get one offer on the uber app + the onion rings +Beer on tap when you visit the location is good + love how big and spacious it is inside of the restaurant + the team is friendly and attentive when you dine in What I don't love as much, + the fries + the parking can be tricky on some days since it's located downtown. The trick is to try to find parking in the neighborhood if you can. Thanks so much!

When we first walked in, the cashier immediately apologized for the long wait times, thanked everyone for their patience, and let us know they were incredibly short staffed with only two people working. Because the tiny interior was already packed, we decided to leave and do some sightseeing first. However, seeing how good the pizza looked we knew we had to come back later that afternoon. There's no negative details in my review. Nothing but positive things and a small recommendation. 1. Staff and Service I really appreciated the cashier's honesty about running behind right off the bat. That allowed us to make an informed choice rather than get frustrated by a long wait. More businesses could learn from this! 2. Restaurant's Layout The inside is a bit tight and busy, but it's located in a smaller older building, so they have no other options. Since they can't expand the inside adding an outdoor pub height counter for eating, a bench or some seating out front would be a great way to give waiting patrons a place to sit. Also a place to eat. 3. The Pizza -The Veggie Pizza: My nephew and I both ordered this, and the slices were massive you'll see in my pics! They were honestly the largest slices I have ever seen! I love pizza and have eaten it in New York and Chicago, and my slice here held its own. It was loaded with a huge variety of vegetables. I requested to put mine through the oven twice to get the veggies warm and cooked because I noticed my nephew's slice looked like a warm salad on crust. So happy I did because it was delicious! The jalapeños were intensely spicy which is on me, since I'm a bit of a lightweight with spice! -The Meat Options: My son got the pepperoni and thought it was really good, and my husband got a supreme slice which he also said was good . 4. Price and pizza size- they're more expensive than a typical slice, but once you see those big ole slices in my pics you'll understand why. They can't even fit on a plate. They had to serve them to you in an actual pizza box! After reading my long review you're trying to find out if I would go back huh? Absolutely! If I ever in the area or stay at the Hilton DC again, I would definitely walk right on over and get a slice. You can feed a family of three on one slice! Adult and two small children!

You…read morecan stop in for a few groceries you forgot or are running low on, but the real reason I love this place is the food. Their bagels are really good, and you can order ahead online, which seems to be the move if you're grabbing something and want to be in and out quickly. If you're in Dupont and want something easy, hearty, and actually good, this is such a great little spot. They also recently did a collaboration with Saku Saku Bakery, which I LOVED and resulted in me leaving with entirely too many treats. It sounds like they may continue doing things together, and I really hope they do because it was such a fun addition. The owner, or at least the main guy who always seems to be running things when I'm there, is incredibly friendly and talkative. The staff seems to rotate, but everyone I've encountered has always been willing to help. Just a really great neighborhood place that does exactly what you want a good bodega to do: feed you, sell you the random thing you forgot you needed, and make the neighborhood a little better by being there.

What a fantastic place to grab some delicious food and drinks!…read more Ambiance: it's like having dinner in someone's comfy kitchen. No reservations, just stop on by, grab a seat, and order your food at the counter. Service: service was pretty fast once our food was ordered. Staff were pretty good and they moved quickly to accommodate all guests. Drinks: they have a pretty solid list of local beers and ciders along with wines. Food: I ordered the Jjajangmyeon which was scrumptious! The roasted black bean sauce added some sweetness to the savory flavor oozing out of the shrimp and scallops. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the cucumber on top helped cooled the dish. I also ordered a side of cabbage kimchi which was the perfect addition to my meal. My boyfriend ordered and loved the Spicy bulgogi stir fry and I must say, it was delicious, even from the small bite that I had. Overall, this was a delectable meal and I'm looking forward to returning.

My go-to order is the soy-marinated brisket, smashed salmon, duck fried rice, and their incredible homemade kimchi. On my recent visit to the restaurant, I decided to branch out and try a few new things. The chicken wings were outstanding. Perfectly crispy with a delicious seasoning that had me reaching for another one immediately. I also tried the house fried rice for the first time, and it was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The restaurant itself has a very relax atmosphere, and I was pleasantly surprised to learn they offer a happy hour with some great deals. I didn't get a chance to take advantage of it this visit, but it's definitely given me another reason to come back soon. Whether you're ordering delivery or dining in, Chiko continues to impress. Highly recommend!
