The staff is generally friendly and helpful...every now and then there's a jerk...but it's not long before they seem to disappear. The store is Lesbian bi-sexual staffed...it's obvious, but not in your face. Just saying....then again, Torrington has a Large Lesbian community. Also very obvious driving around town...can't miss them. Coffee is maintained through out the day...always fresh...never a burnt taste....always $.99 any size...and they have the occasional free coffee days, which is always kool. If your a people watcher and have nothing better to do....pick an advantageous parking spot, get a cup of joe and you'll see a parade of Torrington residents, and the diversity is apparent. There is a homeless element that hangs around now and then, but I've never found them a bother, and most of them are quite pleasant despite their rather lack luster existence. Police presence is common, and have so far found the TPD to be friendly and approachable. So....all in all...it's all good, I'll keep coming, it's 'convenient' and close. I give 4/5 stars only because I save the last star on any review for absolute top notch....and that is far and few on anything.

It was around 10pm and the bathroom was cleaner than I expected. Especially for a gas station bathroom. Grabbed my free reward sodas and some snacks. As usual though, the rewards items were out of stock or almost out of stock. There was one "coke creation" left and the other free soda was for a 20oz or 2L bottle but there were no 2L bottles left. Also the Tylenol I needed was out of stock which is kind of a headache... But otherwise the store is in good shape, cashiers are always friendly and now I know the bathrooms are a safe bet.

It makes no sense--same chain, but totally different experience. Either they're not ordering enough, not restocking properly, or just don't pay attention to what sells. I've stopped counting how many times I've walked in, checked the cooler, and walked right back out. It's convenient location-wise, but what's the point if they never have what I'm looking for?

It also sneaks up on you a little bit, because it's right after the residential area ends on your way toward Target. I will definitely have to keep Pit Stop (which seems to be pretending to be a Sunoco online) for the future!

It's not the cleanliness, because the two pumps are both pretty clean. It's certainly not the employees, because the gentleman in the store tonight was very friendly. It's the location - this is located on the hypotenuse of a three-light intersection. I'm not clear on whether I have to wait for the opposite angle to turn green before I can go or not. But it makes getting out a little frustrating, particularly since you have a small space to work with. The station and attached shop also seem to change names frequently, but they are pretty consistent on being affordable no matter what name is on the pump.

The reason I am writing this review was that I stepped into the store and asked the man behind the counter to call 911. He refused, I mean absolutely refused even after I explained that it was for the man who fell off of his bike and couldn't get up on the store property. I will never shop here again because of this and urge everyone else to also not shop here. If someone is so heartless that they won't call 911 to help a poor man on the ground then they don't deserve the business.

One pump overflowed and a puddle of gas formed below it. I didn't know that was possible. When I finally got to pump, it took four seconds for .1 gallons of gas, and over 10 minutes to fill up my fairly small tank. The second star is really a hopeful one that it was a one-time experience and we'll be back to the generic in, pump, out. It's pretty clean too.

This location offers a chance to pay for a car wash and gas at the pump (which I did not partake) and also has a Dunkin inside the convenience market. I got very lucky with getting out - I pulled into the right-turn-only exit onto 202 when the light below was red. However, it was very expensive gas, even without purchasing the car wash. Despite the pluses, I don't think I'll make this a consistent stop - I got lucky getting out once, I'm not sure that will hold, and I can't afford the gas prices.
