As for the food, we ordered a typical Full English Breakfast (or fry-up) and Eggs Benedict. I was especially delighted that American-style streaky bacon was served on the benedict. The plate was nicely presented and delicious. This was my only visit and from what I understand, the establishment has gone through numerous business changes, so I (sadly) wouldn't be surprised if it has transitioned again, but hopefully the food and service survive despite any differing names or management.

The breakfast plates are okay as are the burgers, and their chilli dogs are probably the closest you'll get to a Coney-style hot dog in Norwich. Coffee is ok with free refills. This is a chain, but the food and service don't reflect that, it's always a good way to start a days shopping.

For the mains, I had chicken katsu noodles, and my friends opted for the fried rice and prawn/chicken. The katsu curry was nice, however the sauce didn't taste much like katsu, and was quite mild. All in all it was a good experience and the food was good; my only criticism would be that the tip was included in the bill for a party of three which I did not feel appropriate, for being such a small party, and i do not agree with the size of the tip being predetermined - this should be a personal choice based on the quality of service received.

I like my beers a little on the hoppy side, so this choice was perfect: not too hoppy, but still carries a citrus taste. With a menu heavily slanted towards brunch, I ordered the traditional English breakfast and was satisfied. Not the best I've ever had, but certainly worth recommending to the casual visitor.

We went back again for breakfast a few weeks later and brought friends from London with us and tries more of the egg dishes, bacon, and chorizo this time which were all stellar. Franks is quickly becoming our favorite breakfast and brunch place in Norwich. This Thursday we are planning of stopping in for dinner to give it a go.
