The cuppa was lovely, with a great slice of millionaires shortbread, the perfect size for two to share. Second up for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised! Sitting outside in the sea breeze (read it was really windy), we were sheltered by the metal surrounded bench seating, which is probably one of the best things the pier folk have ever thought of, allowing you to sit outside and forget about the weather. The menu is simple and I quickly decided on the goats cheese and caramelised onion pizza, which I shared with the other half; it arrived in good time, with an additional plate - when placing the order, my dad was asked how many people would be sharing each pizza, a clever touch, showing that they recognise what people might want. Of course, you're going to get a few flies and wasps, but it's worth it for a little bit of something different! Just don't look down, that sea looks awful choppy.

It's a glass fronted restaurant which shouldn't put you off as it's a nice street to dine on. If you feel shy then there are plenty of tables in other parts of the large restaurant. The toilets are down some strairs which is somethign to consider if you have limited mobility or have had a glass of wine or two. I like the spicey nuts they serve as an alternative to the usual olives and the dough balls are nice with garlic butter. I usually got for a salad which is dressed in the fienst balsamic vinegar and you even get some bread slices arranged out the outskirts of your dinner plate.

I had the Posh Pepperoni pizza and my wife had the tropicano pizza on a classic base. Both tasted really nice and the ingredients were lovely and fresh. The only negative is that some of the wait staff were getting orders mixed up with table numbers, saw this happen 3 times over a space of an hour. There is plenty of parking in the evening, either on the library car park opposite, the car park opposite the florists or up on Market Hill. The only problem I have is the teenagers who hang around opposite near the library car park. They do not cause trouble and are probably there because they are under 18 and not allowed in the pubs. This is not really Pizza and Grills doing and they are probably powerless to do anything.
