Pandora's Kitchen was one of the first local restaurants I dined at in Norwich's city centre. The place was highly rated on other review platforms, and my dining experience reflected the popular opinion.
We came for brunch on a weekend and though it was already busy, we were seated straightaway upstairs. There are multiple levels plus patio dining and from the brief glances we took going up the Victorian staircase, each floor had a slightly different design theme. The whole place had a homey feel to it; somehow I felt like I was eating at a friend's flat by the way the tables were set up. What I liked were the little details like the simple antique book centerpieces and the organisation of the servers' stations.
As for the food, we ordered a typical Full English Breakfast (or fry-up) and Eggs Benedict. I was especially delighted that American-style streaky bacon was served on the benedict. The plate was nicely presented and delicious.
This was my only visit and from what I understand, the establishment has gone through numerous business changes, so I (sadly) wouldn't be surprised if it has transitioned again, but hopefully the food and service survive despite any differing names or management. read more
