English Parakeet. I bought him from Bill's Birds in Davie, FL yesterday

Bill's Got The Best Birds - exotics - handfed babies - Bill & his birds are one of a kind.. This man truly loves his birds. Huge selection of hand raised, healthy, happy babies & exotics too. Store is clean and Covid safe. Cages are clean (as clean as any birdcage can be, that is w actual birds in it lol). Staff is friendly & highly knowledgeable on everything bird. Bill's daughter helped me pick out my new parakeet (and it's worth noting that she did not have to use a net to get him out- he came right to her hand!) Prices are lower than big chain pet stores & birds are better. Bill and his birds got personality! I highly recommend Bill's Birds in Davie, Florida. NB: All birds in photos I bought from Bill's Birds yesterday, except for white / blue parakeet on far right in "group pic"

And this is the Blue Parakeet I bought from the store. He's great and healthy.

This place is a mess and very small but it's a great store! They are not very communicative but they do their job right. If you are considering buying a bird from this store pls do your own research so you know everything you should be looking for. I bought a parakeet, calcium, food, and a swing it all made $35 which is amazing in my opinion. The food I bought will last a couple months which I believe is amazing and it only cost me $6.99. It's been 8 days and my bird is happy and chirping :)

Horrendous business... I'm no bird expert but I was with my friend that's owned multiple birds for many many years and I asked her if there should be 10-30 birds in a single cage and why there was treats in the food bowl. There shouldn't have been more than 1-2 birds in the tiny cages and some of these exotic birds are to be fed fresh food not add how sick and fearful some looked. There was dust literally absolutely everywhere in sight which I know couldn't be good for the birds. Please if you care about birds or any animals at all, do NOT support this place. And

This spot is great family own bird store ! Awesome quality food at great prices ! Don't go to the big box stores! They have better toy selection, better food, cages and actual avian knowledge. Check them out !

I have been going to this place for over 15 years, they have always been very nice and helpful with my Cockateils, I got my birds from them still alive and very healthy. I also get food from this store, it is very good quality and reasonable price.

    More cages

I wish I could give 0 stars. Absolutely disgusting conditions. There were sick birds, countless birds crams in extremely small FILTHY cages that wouldn't be suitable for even one. The owners were extremely rude and no animal should have to live in those conditions. The birds come from breeding mills where they don't care about the animals welfare and health causing countless health issues. The birds have no enrichment and are pulling their feathers out, have diarrhea and look like they're going to die. I wanted to cry seeing all these poor animals. Don't get me started about their puppies. Kept in wire cages, coming from puppy mills.

After my divorce my ex husband left me with the kids and he took our monkey with him. In November 2024 our little family decided to add another monkey to our small family. This time we were interested in an owl monkey since they are a little bigger and they have such a happy face, they are always smiling. I contacted Poggi's again (of course you had once a wonderful experience with a breeder, you don't go anywhere else). Michael has now a wonderful wife, her name is Janet and two lovely little boys. When we first came visit them to see the available owl monkey, the whole family welcomed us so warmly in to their home. My smallest son which is only 2.5 years old was allowed to play in the living room with their boys while we got introduced to Avocado, now Coco. Janet really took her time to explain and go all our questions which we have or could have in the future. She helped us to apply for a state license and she was so nice and patient. We felt like we were a part of her family. When we finally received our license from the state and were able to pick up our little Coco, I was impressed how generous their starter package was. It included a cage, an UV light, a large verity of healthy and premium food, blankets, towels, toys, leash and belt, really everything we would need to bring our baby home the first time. Coco is a blessing to our family. He is so sweet and loving. We couldn't be happier!

I've been a loyal customer of Beverly Pet Center for years. It's where I've gotten my guinea pigs,…read moretheir toys, food, everything, however, after today I'm not giving them my business. I've just lost one of my guinea pigs recently and came to the store looking for another. I called for the employee named March if I can hold the baby guinea pig. Unfortunately, the baby was female which wasn't what I was looking for and I put the piggie back in it's enclosure. I walked around the store for a while browsing the products and admiring the selection of fish, however, as I circled back I was reconsidering getting the female pig. I asked March if I may hold her again, but she responded snappily in a raised, rude tone "I can't be there all day are you gonna buy it or not?". It honestly discouraged me from the purchase and I felt ashamed and embarrassed. I decided this wasn't an appropriate response and approached the manager, Johan on March's service. I'd be fine if there was a policy or if it was properly explained that that they can't take animals out much, however, he immediately jumped to March's defense and made excuses such as she must've been busy attending customers (in which there was only two others being attended by another younger female employee. The store was empty and she was walking around aimlessly), that I was walking around (I do not understand what browsing the store has to do with having a feel for a guinea pig), and that I held the guinea pig a couple times in which I only held one piggie each to determine their temperament (there were only two). This interaction wasn't enjoyable and I felt the manager did not care. I feel the store has gone down in quality of the years and it's disheartening to see. I will not be coming back!

If you are thinking of going to Petland Pembroke Pines to purchase a dog. I encourage you to read…read morethis post. It will take you a few minutes, but might not regret reading what we are dealing with by purchasing a sick puppy from Petland Pembroke Pines. Petland Pembroke Pines sold us a sick puppy. Within TWO days of purchasing the puppy, we took him to the vet for a wellness check; he was diagnosed with parasite, ear infection, found to be underweight, and excessive coughing. Petland of Pembroke Pines states they provided a heath certificate which indicates the puppy was fit for sale. When purchased on 12/20/2025 health certificate provided was dated 12/11/2025. This means the puppy was under Petland Pembroke Pines for eight days prior to us purchasing. Furthermore, Petland Pembroke Pines says and I quote "Licensed, independent veterinarian visits the store weekly to examine their puppies " if these puppies are health checked weekly as Petland Pembroke Pines replied to my complaint, I'm sure these licensed independent veterinarian provide the store with a health certificate indicating health conditions. I asked Petland Pembroke Pines to provide us with health certificate for the puppy between dates 12/11 - 12/19 for the 8 days under their care. Petland Pembroke Pines have never send such health certificate. I submitted complaint with BBB, FDACS, Humane World for Animals. Petland Pembroke Pines' rest to my complaint on BBB is that i'm being hostile towards them. I give my permission or will sign and document giving the right to Petland Pembroke Pines to make public my emails and show where at any point I'm being hostile! We paid lots of money for the puppy; we never expected the puppy's health to be in such poor condition as the veterinarian found him to be. Obviously, I'm upset (with reason) how much Petland Pembroke Pines charged to sell us a sick puppy. Since veterinarian diagnostic, my wife, 4-year-old daughter and I had been enduring personal and emotional distress due to Petland selling customers like me who believed them to be reputable pet stores to find out they sell puppies from puppy mills as indicated by an investigation from Humane World for Animals. Below reply to my complaint submitted to Humane World of Animal "Unfortunately, Petland is particularly notorious for selling sick puppies from puppy mills. See our numerous Petland investigations here: www.humaneworld.org/petland I advised Petland Pembroke Pines on Humane World of Animals investigation. Their response to me was; all Petland's are independently owned, and investigation does not mention Pembroke Pines location. Just like any other independently owned franchise, all Petland's operate under the Petland brand. When submitting my complaint to Humane World for Animal s, I specifically mentioned the Pembroke Pines location. Their reply was a link to investigation on Petland. As mentioned, my family, especially my 4-year-old daughter have been dealing with this situation since purchasing the puppy on December 20th, 2025. It was our gift to our daughter. Based on provided report www.humaneworld.org/petland ; Petland is the largest retailer of puppy mill dogs, and while the company claims their puppies come only from reputable breeders and are in good health, Humane World for Animals prove otherwise. I urged you to visit this website www.humaneworld.org/petland before going into one of these Petland locations. In my case there is nothing I can due about my situation, we just must deal with it and continue spending a lot of money trying to get our puppy in good health. I hope I can help someone else not go through my personal experience with Petland Pembroke Pines
