I started off my luxury car days driving Mercedes (1997 and 2002 SL500). At the time they were great cars but after owning 2 of them, I felt like I needed a change and started to look at other brand(s). BMW was the first and really only other car I thought would compare. Since driving our first BMW, we (wife and myself) have owned 8 BMW's and do not see us moving to any other brand in the near future. We have have had 3 X5's(e53 and e70), 2 generations of the 5 series (540,545,550) and my E90 ///M3. In 2006, we moved to Naperville and began using to Bill Jacobs but found myself going to any BMW dealership which was convenient. In the suburbs, there are many BMW dealers and with work, I would pass by a few of them. I used Bill Jacobs, Westmont and Patrick BMW with no real loyalty. That all changed in 2007. We were looking for a new SUV for my wife (she had a E53 X5) and visited the surrounding dealers. We stopped by Bill Jacobs with little to no real attention. We had a sales person spend a few minutes with us but they really didn't act like we were worth their time. The story was pretty much the same at every dealer with the exception of the Porsche dealership (she was curious about the Cayenne and was a fantastic experience). The wife finally decided that the BMW X5(e70) was the car and we took a trip to Bill Jacobs to see what we could do. This time we were fortunate enough to be greeted Bill Earnest. He started off by introducing himself and welcomed us back to the dealership. This took us by surprise because; we never actually met him before. Instead of starting in with a sales pitch, he asked if he could help us. I expressed our desire for purchasing a new X5 and he was more than willing to help us out. He started off by asking if we liked our current X5(nice touch) and if we have interested/experienced the new model. I mentioned that we have looked at them but never drove one. Bill asked which model we were interested in (I6 or V8) and grabbed us one to test drive. Then Bill did what no other sales person had done before. He gave me the keys and said, "Go take this for a test drive and tell me what you think". What??? You don't want to come with? Ok, test drive with no pressure from a sales guy trying to sell us the car, nice touch! 45 min later we arrived back, still no sales pitch or pressure, just wanted our feedback. Instead of trying to sell me a car, he went out of his way answer any questions we had. Needless to say, we bought a X5 from him that day. The experience was very pleasant. After purchasing the 2007 X5, I felt that I should start to use Bill Jacobs as "my dealer". My first service appointment was scheduled for a minor issue and I was assigned Don Pawlik as my service adviser. I was completely shocked when I first sat down with him. All my past service advisers were not very nice and seemed like I was an inconvenience. From the second I sat down, Don just seemed to know I was a car guy(build a motor, trans, rear end in the past). As I explained the issues, he basically agreed with what I was telling him and confirmed that he had seen this issue before. From that point on, I made sure that I requested Don every time I had to bring in one of our BMW's. Let's fast forward to 2011, BMW's come and go. For the last 5 years, Don has taken excellent care of my various BMW's and Bill has been great at scratching that BMW itch when we feel it is time for a new/different BMW. It was time for Bill E to help scratch that itch we had on the wife's X5. Bill ordered us a new 2011 X5 exactly to the wife's specs and she could not be happier. 2 months after taking delivery, we had some issues which needed to be addressed. What we though were going to be a simple issue turned into 69 total days at the dealership, 60 of those days being contiguous. During this 60 day stretch, I had two excellent people helping me get these issue resolved. Don made sure that he informed me with updates 1-2 times a week. Bill would call to make sure that I was informed on what was going on. I was frustrated, the wife wanted her car, the issues were not getting resolved and the days kept adding up. Then I got the call from Bill telling me that he was pushing to get the wife a new X5. Within a week, he called back informing me that they had ordered me a new 2012 X5 and it was going to be delivered in a few weeks. I was completely shocked!!! One day my X5 was in the shop, the next thing I know, I am getting a new one. The 2012 has been absolutist flawless since day one. I could continue on about how great Bill Jacobs, Bill Earnest and Don Pawlik have been over the past 6 years, but the story is still the same. If you are looking to buy a BMW, make sure you speak to Bill Earnest. If you ever need to take your car into Bill Jacobs, request Don Pawlik. I consider these two to be the absolute best in the business. read more

Always a friendly staff, and Moe is of great assistance whenever we need maintenance. He is extremely courteous and professional. Loaner cars are always available and it's relaxing even waiting to get the car. Cute gift shop, free snacks, coffee, tea, and water. Impeccably clean and one of the biggest lots I've seen. Love this location and would recommend to all! read more

BMW is a costly car to maintain, things break easy however the dealership make the experience worse. Each time you go there, the come up with a new issue, and try to make you feel the need to fix it. There have been a few times they talked about security reason to get the car fixed. Each time I go there there is a list of 4-5 issues shows with a bill of $ 2000 or more to fix. This time it was head gasket leak. The mechanic flashed a light and showed some dirt near the engine and said - see the head gasket is leaking, the rear bearing is also gone - so we need to change it. I had gone there to see why break fluid was leaking and they gave me a list for $ 5K to fix other issues. I asked to identify the issue on the breaks, two days with the car - they could not find the issue with the breaks, just tightened the hose and said that should fix it. The dealership is focused on trying to identify new issues to make money but is not qualified in fixing the issue. read more

From customer service to vehicle service, Bill Jacobs exceeds the five stars! I am a regular service customer and each time I am greeted by Janine at concierge with her outstanding customer service she refers me to my service advisor Mo. I would like to recognize Mo for his leadership skills and professionalism in addtion to his customer service. I would also like to recognize Paul and Mike, Shop Foreman, for their generosity and professional expertise in assisting me with my matter. I will only service my vehicle at Bill Jacobs BMW! read more

If I could I'd give sales staff 4 stars and the service staff zero, and since you buy a BMW once and spend a lot of time having service done, that averages out to a 1 star. More than once I've brought in our car for problems covered under warranty and they tried to tell me I must have done something to the car! I don't want to waste time re-hashing the painful details, but in short if they assign you a guy named Mike, ask for someone else! Then, I suggest you trade your car in for another brand with fewer problems and a more competent, customer oriented service department. I recommend Continental Acura and Mazda which are right by Bill Jacobs and have provided me with years of good service (and I bet I've had fewer visits for service at both those dealers than in the 18 months I've had the BMW.) Also note that even though all scheduled service is covered, they come up with other "recommended" services that they want you to pay for. It's appalling that the dealer is recommending things that the manufacturer does not. They will call and call at your house trying to get you to schedule these appointments for costly services. Finally, I've some some issues with my car that they have not been able to fix, which is really inexcusable, and in my view presents a safety hazard. I've owned Chevy, Pontiac, Ford, Mazda, Mercedes, Acura, Lexus and BMW. Bill Jacobs BMW is without a doubt the worse experience for me. You will think they are great when you buy the car and see the beautiful facilities, but wait a while. You have been warned.... read more

I'm retired and have time to look for a new car to replace my gaining Audi A4. I want to stick with a German car but thought I'd see what a BMW was like. The people at Bill Jacobs started out professionally but degenerated within a few days. They didn't have the color and combinations I wanted, so I "built" one on the BMW website. The salesman contacted me a day later and said they had something close to it. He emailed me specs on Saturday morning at 9:25am and asked if I could come down. A few exchanges later, I said yes as long as he emailed me a summary of what the financial terms are. At 12:30pm, as I prepare to go to the dealer to accommodate their month-end sales goals, I get an email saying that car has been sold. Can you believe that? They tried to lure me down there with a car that didn't exist. And this is despite their having my business card that indicates I do finance and contracts. What do they do to non-financial types? read more

I researched on cars from their website. I got assigned to a Sales rep who was super responsive. I went to see in the car and drove it around. The environment is very welcoming and the rep felt like was working for me. This is the best it can get at a dealership. Everyone was ready to help and educate me on the car. read more

I purchased my first BMW from a different dealership. Unfortunately, I had some serious issues with my car. I called Bill Jacobs and the service was excellent. They provided a beautiful 2016 X1 as a loner vehicle for the four days that my car was in service. I was called once per day by my consultant to update me on the status. They did all of the work required to get me back on the street. Very professional and friendly. The BMW warranty is excellent. It didn't cost me a nickel for all the repairs, the oil change, brake fluid flush and they even threw in a car wash. No one likes it when they have car issues but at least the service end of things was great. Thank you! A customer for life. read more

Very poor service from this Bill Jacob, Not one time but multiple time my SUV service they never fixed the issue and had to go two time to fix the issue and they never provided proper explanation. My service experience with Bill Jacob has been always bad experience since last 10 years. I will never recommend to do service here and its the same experience with my friends for many years. read more

I was referred to them from a friend who has purchased many BMW's from them. When I arrived the dealership was very clean and stylish, as you would expect from a high end auto dealership and was quickly greeted by a consultant. My sales person Bill Earnest could have not been more accommodating, I hate going and buying a car because I hate the run around that you get. My last car a Benz took me 6 hours at the dealership, here I was in and out in about 2 hours, all first class. There follow up has been good and there service has been top notch so far. read more

I actually enjoy taking my car in for service! Lindsey Drugan at Bill Jacob's BMW treats me like a trusted friend. Lindsey explains what is going to be done to my vehicle in an easy to understand way. She always is professional, friendly, honest and makes me feel like a valued customer. I am glad I've developed a positive rapport with her. Bill Jacob's BMW and Lindsey Drugan are the best! The only place I will take my "baby", my car. read more

The last 2 visits to this store for service have been a nightmare. My wife brought the car in for an oil service and was made to wait over 30 minutes after the car was ready before the so-called service advisor got around to handing the keys back. I just took the car back for a recall and same thing happened. The car is sitting outside while all the "advisors" are in one office chit chatting. I had to knock on the door and remind the advisor that I was waiting for my car. To add insult to injury, he proceeded to lie to me by telling me that I was lucky it only took one hour. He said, and I quote, "You're lucky it only took one hour, sometimes it takes up to three hours to program the ECU". Yes, all I was there for was to get the recall completed which entailed plugging into the ODB2 port and programing the new instructions. Either he thinks his customers are idiots or he is. Needless to say, never again. If you need to take your BMW for service, I strongly recommend you use another dealer. read more

I just recently purchased an X1 from Bill Jacobs BMW in Naperville. I cannot begin to express what a fabulous and easy process they were able to provide. This was my first time buying a car on my own so my nerves and confusion were at an all time high. I had the privileged of working with Gabriel Jarquin who made sure to easy my nerves and give me as much information as needed- even when I didn't think I needed it. He was patient and also great at following up with me. On my first night home with the new car he made sure that I made it home safely even after staying late to help me. I could not speak any higher of my experience with the Bill Jacobs team start to finish. read more

I've been to a lot of BMW dealerships now for service and this one is as top notch as they get. My car needed major repairs and I was leary about how much this was going to cost and the time involved. My service manager, Jamie, was friendly, knowledgeable and honest. He provided excellent communication throughout the entire process. I have recommended this dealership to all of my friends and family and wanted to take the time to recommend them on Yelp. A++ Thanks Jamie! read more

I worked with Bill Earnest when looking for my next car. He was very helpful, thorough and informative. I had done research and had specific models I wanted to see. Bill looked up each model and walked me through each one so we were able to identify the car that made the most sense for me. He didn't pressure me and continued to answer my questions after I left and into the next day. Overall, I would recommend working with Bill at Bill Jacobs in Naperville. read more

I have been a customer of BMW for nearly a decade. I have lived in NY, Miami and Las Vegas and now I live in Naperville. Out of all the BMW dealerships I have been serviced at , the one that dominates the country is Bill Jacobs, and the best service advisor hands down is RYAN BURTON!!! I only deal with Ryan!! Amazing guy in every way, and I am glad he is located at this dealership cause I live a fw minutes away. Ryan, my man Ill be passing by soon to say Hi::)) read more

Brought my car here for service after having several issues with my car at previous dealers who couldn't seem to find the problems and continued to just charge me and not show concern for solving the issues. First time I brought my car to Deanna here at Bill Jacobs and explained my previous experiences at other service centers, and she went above and beyond to solve the issues with my vehicle. She was a great advisor to the status and issues discovered and furthermore she was a great communicator throughout the process. Additionally, she's pretty easy on the eyes! :) I'll be back to see her in the future! read more

Best BMW service around. I've been to a few places, but once I started working with Ryan Burton, I knew I found the right place. The facility is top notch, everyone is friendly and they communicate great. Ryan is always a pleasure to work with. I actually look forward to service calls just to catch up. I was in last week to service my X5, and of course a few cars in the showroom caught my eye. Might be back there sooner than I thought! Fantastic experience at Bill Jacobs. Eric Htun was my salesman, and he's as incredibly helpful as much as he is a nice guy. Leaving North Carolina where I was used to the sketchy service of that BMW dealership it was extremely refreshing to deal with Jeff and the Bill Jacobs staff. I'm grateful for them and would definitely recommend them and use them. read more

I came here to trade in my 2017 Ford Focus RS, which i purchased at $52,000. All went well until I received the offer for my car which was at $23,000. Yet when you check online, the current value for my exact model is $35,000. Apparently the slightest scuff on my front bumper will devalue the car by a good $12,000. I was also told that "it is a smoking vehicle", which I have never smoked in, nor do I smoke. Funny how the salesman just before it was appraised has a cigarette right before. I would not put it past this crook dealership to do this either. I have never been more insulted and have never been scammed more in my life until I came across this crook dealership. The next day I went to Laurel BMW and I was offered a fair $32,000. I highly suggest all of you which are looking for a fair deal as well as a fair trade in, go elsewhere. I was going to purchase an M2 from these crooks, glad I did not. Worst dealership yet. read more

If you are car shopping you HAVE to stop and see Bill Earnest. He listens to your wants, needs, and puts you first. This is my 2nd time working with him and his level of service is consistently above and beyond. He even told me NOT to get a car at one point because it wasn't a good move for me at the time. Who does that?! Of course he doesn't work for free (& neither do you or I) but putting smiles on faces makes his day. And his family makes great glogg wine too. Just wanted to downgrade Bill Jacobs by a star. We ended up flying to Minnesota to a Volvo dealership (Kline Volvo) and purchasing a XC90 T8 Inscription PHEV from there ($85K all told) and driving it back. I've purchased several new BMW's from Bill Earnest at Bill Jacobs - starting back in 1999 - and continue to maintain a great relationship with Bill and the organization. Obviously, an organization can be judged - both positively and negatively - through one experience. Over the past fourteen years, I've test-driven a couple of dozen of cars of all types - new, used - purchased several of them - some off the lot, some ordered, some transferred from another dealer - some leased, some new - and Bill has always provided excellent service, customer care, and most importantly - an understanding of what I'm looking for from a dealership. Bill does everything he can to make the car browsing - and car buying - experience as smooth as possible. He is very respectful, courteous, never obnoxious, and never pushy. I can drop it, ask to check out a car or two, take a couple of drives - and never be hounded. He understands 'car guys' - because he is one! - and stays out of the way when he should, and gets involved when he should. He is straightforward, doesn't play games, and doesn't waste your time. The new Bill Jacobs BMW facility is far nicer than the old one. The few times I've used the service department - only for scheduled maintenance, as my cars have been very reliable - have been very positive. The free wi-fi, coffee, tea, snacks, and nice selection of cars to browse makes the time pass quickly. The two times I requested a rental, I've always had a BMW. Is Bill Earnest representative of all of Bill Jacobs BMW? I have no idea. I DO know that he makes the place better - and as long as I'm interested in BMW's, I know he is the only guy I'll work with. Highly recommended. read more
