SCSA has been great for our family so far! We've taken our son to camps for a couple of summers and…read morethe rec league for one spring season, and we're planning on sticking with SCSA for future rec leagues as long as he's interested. The facilities are really well maintained, from the outdoor fields to the indoor facility - which gives kids a good option in inclement weather. (Certainly not comparable to the outdoor space, but gives some options for camps especially.) Really all of our "negative" experiences have been around weather, which you just can't control for an outdoor sport. We had quite a few rain-outs this last season and there are only 3 days of make-up games in the schedule -- but that was made clear up front and you have to understand they've got other things to plan in the future and can't just extend the schedule forever. But even in the weather delays, communication was crystal clear and they did everything they could to balance kids' safety with not overreacting (a thunderstorm at noon didn't affect a 5:30pm game - they waited until shortly before the game to make the right call based on conditions at game time.

They hosts camps, tournaments and little league practices and games here. It has two private parking lots (North and South) that fills up very quickly when there are large events or lots of practices going on. You will find an overflow parking lot across the street. It has 32 fields. But all are not the same size they have smaller fields that are designated for younger children. The fields are well marked and it is easy to find the filed that you looking for. There are no bleachers here, so be sure to bring your own chair if you plan to sit. There is also a snack bar, a shelter with picnic tables under it, some very nice rest rooms and an indoor facility. On busy days, you will find a few food trucks on site. The grounds are very well kept and the staff there is very friendly and helpful. There is no smoking, alcohol, or pets allowed at the complex. I like this complex. It seems to be well managed, looks great and my little one has a great time when he plays here.

Kuntz Memorial Soccer Stadium is a longtime presence in the Riverside area. It's fairly close to…read morethe once again growing Riverside Park area along with the Waterway area (think Amp). While it falls under Indy Parks, it's managed by Riverside Sports Properties. Kuntz is considered one of Indy's premier outdoor soccer facilities with a long history of hosting local, regional, national, and international events. The stadium has two FIFA regulated game fields - 120 years in length, 75 yards wide with a championship field that can seat 5,257. It also has four newly renovated player locker rooms, an official's room, a press box, and a VIP conference room overlooking the Championship Field. In 2024, plans were announced to transform it into primarily rugby use. I think that remains to be seen, though it's had some resistance from the neighborhood. That, for me, speaks to the value of the stadium to the area as it has always been a stadium that has partnered with local groups including leagues - Central Indiana Amateur Soccer League, IHSAA, and a number of youth and high school soccer programs. The stadium is also the home of Indianapolis Alleycats, a professional ultimate frisbee league. So, how is it? First off, the complex really has been receiving some love as of late. For awhile, it was pretty run-down. However, it has been spruced up and looks appealing. The parking lot is a good-sized lot and it's fairly easy to find accessible parking. The bleachers, of course, have definite limitations in terms of access. Getting around the stadium itself is pretty accessible. The area itself is growing to a certain degree. It is still a mixture of tech, industrial, and a few non-profits utilize some office sections nearby. Kuntz is probably one of my favorite of the mid-range sports facilities in Indy. I used to get over here more often than I do these days, however, I'll still occasionally stop by for local events. I've also attended an Alleycats match. I tend to like smaller events - bigger stadiums can get a bit overwhelming. This is a modest-sized, easy to access stadium with some great options for soccer and occasionally other sports.

There is nothing like going to a sporting event with all the energy and excitement! Indy 11 fans did not disappoint! They love their team! Played music and cheered them on the whole game! They are well behaved so that makes them even more lovable! If you don't grab a bite to eat before the game, there are plenty of food trucks to choose from. Very easily accessible lots of entrances and really hasn't felt crowded yet. Lots of concession stands all over the place as well as little smaller kiosks with people selling various things. In addition, game day is here from ESPN, so it is absolutely crazy out in the tailgate area. Lots and lots of tailgate spaces lots of sponsored areas lots of giveaways tons of fun stuff to do on a football game Saturday morning. Tickets were not overly expensive though, since Indiana is good this year they are selling out some of their games. they also gave towels at each of the seats for the game. Lots of music playing lots of energy in the stadium great day.

I was in the stadium during a graduation ceremony (not mine - it was bad weather and we had to have it elsewhere). But, I never went to a football game. So, this year, we decided to correct that. My wife and I went to see the Northwestern / IU game on and took our two kids with us. It was cold in November, but we dressed appropriately. I stewed over which seats to reserve and when we got there, I realized we had great seats but also, there really is not a bad seat in the house. It was a great time (helped that IU won!). The stadium has a great college atmosphere to it, it is easy getting in and out (we parked at the stadium - easy peasy). We had some football game food that was not gourmet, but better than average for a football game. We just sat on the bench. I saw other people come in with seat pads or seat chairs. I read how someone was not allowed to do so - but I saw others doing it so I don't know what the deal was there. I also had no issues getting the seats that were sold to us. We had a great time and I look forward to going back. My suggestion is go make a day of it and experience some IU with a game if you are going.
