I work in North Judson some days and I have been waiting to try the few places there are to choose…read morefrom I picked Route 10 because I had seen photos on Google of then having a taco Tuesday and Burrito special. However, they do not have that special anymore so I was a little disappointed. They do have daily specials though. The menu is so diverse which most of the time means if you specialize in a lot, you really don't specialize in any. The specials today were country fried steak, chicken bowl, and taco salad. I asked the waitress about the country fried steak and it was already pre-made....as in I'm guessing frozen. That was a no for me. The chicken bowl didn't sound appetizing as she described it as KFC's bowl. I could have taken my chances with the taco salad but I chose the Western BBQ Burger instead. The patty was fresh, hand-made, seasoned well, and was 1/2 LB. The bun was toasted and the Burger came with an onion ring, cheddar, and bacon. Overall, it was a satisfying burger. They do serve sweet tea but it's not my first rodeo in Indiana so I brought my own. I really don't know how the sweet tea was but it was brewed there so it probably was good but not sweet enough for my Alabama blood. I debated between a 3 and a 4 star. There was really nothing wrong with my meal and in that case, I usually go with a 4. Until she brought me my bill and broke one of my Yelp commandments...charging me for extra BBQ sauce. A 3 star it is then.

My only problem was the shrimp cocktail is way over priced for the small shrimp you get and they were not cold. And there is nothing worse than scanning a menu just to find out that the first three things you want they are out of. A restaurant should never ever run out of food on their menu and if they do, tell the people before they spend the time reading and ordering something for no reason. Don't just hope that the people won't order it. Disclose it, or never run out in the first place. The food we did get was fantastic. I'd give them another shot if they corrected their problems

Skyroom Restaurant is the flagship dining room for Indiana Beach amusement park and campground…read more Like the theme park, the Skyroom is not what it was under the previous owners. Indiana Beach sold a handful of years ago from the original family founders to an out-of-state corporate entity. Since then, there have been ongoing complaints and rumors each summer tourist season would be Indiana Beach's last. Many locals have tried reaching out and helping Morgan RV Parks, the current New York State-based owners of Indiana Beach, but they've reportedly received little to no response. Yet, as of last tourist season, the Skyroom was still turning out some delicious food albeit struggling to maintain decent service. Fortunately for guests (and poorly trained staff), the Skyroom has not been as popular as it used to be, so kitchen and front-of-house staff have been somewhat able to make do. If you have good memories of the Skyroom, I might suggest visiting this summer (2014), because it may be your last chance to enjoy a nice dinner in their comfortable, air-conditioned dining room overlooking Lake Shafer and the colorfully lighted Indiana Beach boardwalk.

We decided to order off the menu. My husband and I ordered the farmers breakfast 3 eggs, ham, bacon or sausage, american potatoes with cheese and 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy. I stopped the waitress and explained the eggs were cold and potatoes weren't cook all the way.. she just looked at me then finally asked if I wanted them made again. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful. She walked us through the menu and pointed out several highlights which were plenty to choose from. She mentioned they're especially known for their Mexican food, but since everything is made from scratch, even the beans and tortilla chips, it really felt like you couldn't go wrong with anything on the menu. I was in the mood for something other than Mexican, and the walleye caught my attention. I'm glad I ordered it. The meal came with two large, flaky fillets coated in a crisp, crunchy batter. It was absolutely delicious, with no fishy taste at all. The fries were also very good and seasoned perfectly, though I personally would have liked them a little crispier. My wife ordered a loaded burger that was featured on the PowerPoint slideshow playing in the background. She really enjoyed it, and it was so big she couldn't even finish it. You could tell the patty was hand formed. A friend ordered the breaded pork tenderloin. We could actually hear the chef pounding the pork in the kitchen, which was a nice sign that it was being prepared fresh. This wasn't one of those oversized, gimmicky sandwiches either. Just a quality tenderloin made well. It could have used a bit more seasoning, but it was still very tasty. They serve Coke products and have a full bar.
