Jeff has serviced two bikes of mine for the past year. Most recently I brought my f10 dogma in to diagnose a clicking noise which was hard to pinpoint. Jeff, the owner/mechanic asked if I would mind if he took it for a quick test ride. I obliged and off he was. A few short minutes later he returned and while he was able to replicate the clicking, we weren't much closer to identifying the culprit. Right off, he tightened the rear skewer as he noticed it was a little loose however, we weren't done there. The noise seemed to coming from the bottom bracket so it went to the stand and the bb was briskly disassembled. "Silky smooth" he said, not likely the bottom bracket. He moved on and removed the rear wheel and cassette. It was also ever slightly loose and was tightened. Wheel was placed back on. While running through the gears, the Di2 needed adjustment - additional confirmation the cassette could be the culprit but oh no, not done yet. While re-calibrating the Di2, it was also found the hanger bolt was loose. Finally this was tightened. Di2 was now able to be calibrated. Okay - maybe I should check a few fasteners here and there every now and again. Finally, my handlebar tape was loosening but was otherwise still in great shape. I asked if it could just be re-wrapped if possible but offered to purchase one of the several nice tapes he had in stock. The owner agreed they were in good shape and would try to work with them. He was wrapping, unwrapping, and re-wrapping. If you have ever installed handlebar tape, you know. He installed new, more secure, caps. They look great! He could have sold me some slick lizard skinz but he didn't push something on me I didn't necessarily need and I admire that. There are a couple of high top chairs there to sit. We were chatting the whole time. Customers were in and out and he would help them with their minor issues on the spot be it a tube replacement or whatever. Of course I could have dropped it off and picked up later, but it was such a pleasure. Jeff didn't stop on the first thing that could have been the click culprit. He was checking it all. I was shocked when I went to checkout when he was done. Must have only charged me a half hour labor or so. I know bikes are hard to come by right now and all bike dealers are going through the same thing. Don't hold this against them. I've been in several times prior to pick up gels and other small items and each time the Jeff is just so nice. It is great to be there and support people doing what they love doing. read more

Integrity and honesty are not the norm for many businesses these days. Small businesses have a tough, so they need to make the money where they can. I get it. That said, I cannot possibly convey how impressed I was by the honesty and integrity of the owner/mechanic of BIKES PLUS in Palm City. I recently brought two bikes in to have new tires put on. He took a look at my bikes and told me that I really did not need to put tires on one of them, even though it had been sitting with flat tires for well over a year. He could so easily have performed the service I was asking for and I would have gladly paid as his prices are extremely fair. The second bike he told me did not need tires yet and he merely replaced the tubes. His honesty saved me a good deal of money and I really, REALLY appreciated it as my finances are tight these days. I would recommend this bike shop to anyone who wants to have their mind put at ease. You will surely be treated fairly and you cannot ask for more than that. read more

Huge shout out for exceptional customer service to Jeff at Bikes Plus in Palm city. He spent 15 minutes of his time with me trying to figure out what was wrong with my bike pump so I didn't have to buy a new one. Unfortunately, my pump was a lost cause but he did fill up my daughters bike tires at no cost as well. Thank you for your kindness Jeff! Absolutely wonderful store with an awesome owner/tech. He did a full service on my mountain bike in a couple hours and it was like a new bike and the price was unbeatable. Friendly service, excellent stock of loads of parts and rides, super convenient location, what more do you need? Do yourself a favor and support this new, independent bike store. Went in to have the tube replaced on my tire. He showed and explained to me some of the reasons I was probably having trouble doing it on my own (after 3 attempts of my own, I got fed up and went here). Very nice guy and was in and out of there in less than 5 minutes. read more
