Easy 5* for results, price, and customer service!…read more So wifey and I bought new ebikes and they both needed a good tune up with brakes and gears ... we put out a "Yelp request" for service around our place in downtown Nashville and received 3 responses - Daniel from Epic Bike shop being the first to respond. He was a 20 minute drive from downtown but had really great prices and was quick to respond so we decided to give him a try ... what a great decision! So Epic was an easy 5 star cuz: +great service on bikes, cleaned them up and took real great care with tune up +given prices that were much less than downtown shops we also added tuffy liners and slime in the tires and put a rack on my wife's bike +great customer service Daniel is passionate about bikes and it clearly shows - he gave us a great tour of his shop and many bike projects. His specialty is building motorized gas engine bikes - and he did a great job on our normal bikes. I also had him work in my wife's ebike motor and that turned out great as well. So - give Daniel a call, make the drive out to Springfield Tn and be delighted with his service, price and results.

I already knew what specifications I needed for my triathlon bike, but he was sarcastic and told me to come in anyway. When I got there, he acted like it was an inconvenience to even talk to me, made a smart comment about, 'Oh, so I guess you just own your own bike shop then,' and tried to sell me a wheel for $3,000 when I can get it online for $2,000 from other small-buiz bike shops. Another employee was nice enough to apologize for the first guy being a dick and acknowledged that I knew what I was talking about, but the man-bun guy still gave me another sarcastic 'Thanks for supporting a small business' comment as I was leaving. I'll never go there again. Bad service, outrageous prices, avoid at all costs

I understand that businesses are busy and that not every company is able to donate. However, I was disappointed by how the call was handled. Before I could finish explaining why I was calling, I was abruptly told they had customers that were actually paying for something and the call was ended. A simple "we're not able to help at this time" would have been completely understandable and appreciated. Professionalism and courtesy go a long way, regardless of whether a business chooses to support a charitable cause. Unfortunately, this interaction left a very negative impression.

I took it here and they fit me into their schedule and were able to quickly diagnose and fix the issue (turned out the derailer hanger had been slightly bent in transit - thanks Dean for fixing it so quickly). Since it only took a few minutes, they didn't even charge me for the work (although I did end up buying some stuff while I was there). I have also spoken to the owner a couple of times prior to this when I wandered into the shop while in the area for other things, and he was always helpful and willing to answer questions even though I clearly wasn't the normal type of client for a shop like this (aka, I don't know anything about bikes). I will definitely be returning for any bike issues/needs I have.
