I came to the store to tighten the fixed cog and lockring for my bike because I did not have the tools. The cost was $25, which is fine, but the service was questionable and sketchy. I requested that all that was needed was to use a Chain Wip to tight the cog First, then a Lockring wrench to tighten the ring Second. Instead of listening, the mechanic immediately took a screw driver and hammer to hit on the lockring without even tightening the fix cog first, then told me the threading was broken and I needed to replace it. Lesson learned, next time I will ask if I can pay to use tools myself. I am never coming back to this shop again. read more

Recently picked up cycling again and they have been my go to bike people. They're all so knowledgeable and helpful! I bought my bike online and brought it here for assembly. Was done in about 20-30 minutes and was around $50 to assemble. Some of their accessories are pricer- compared to Amazon and such, but the convenience of buying a water bottle holder and getting it installed instantly is worth it to me. Gave me recommendations and tuned up the bike to mint condition. They even helped pick out some cloths and most recently I bought some more riding gear. Don't know just what happened!! Old man with white hair basically told me he doesn't have any female bikes. I understand we're in a Covid crisis, and we go in one by one, but there was no one in the store. He comes out asking, "How can I help?" Me: Hi, are you open? Him: Yes, what do you need? Me: A hybrid bike? HIM: NO, I don't have. We don't even have female bikes. Me: Oh ok. Thank you. What the Heck? I had a mask on and He didn't even let me come in. Robert has given us recommendations about products, what to do with bike minor problems and good prices on products. I have to say this place is fabulous. I had been running all over Miami for a reflector for my gate, and when I called Bike Masters they said they had the reflector I needed and to come on in and they'll just give it to me. WhhhoooOOOOHoooOOOo No need to pay for a reflector awesome! I know its cheap but who doesn't love free stuff?! lol So I drive on over, and the set up is cramped but neatly organized. They have bike racks in the middle of the store showcasing the bikes, and then a bunch of products on the wall.The costumers, and the staff are laughing and chatting away while bikes are being fixed. I go to the back where you see them work on the bikes, and ask for my free reflector. However, once he hands it to me I sigh because once again it is not the one I need. I was looking for a specific bike brand which they do not carry therefore I did not buy my bike here however, I would have purchased in a heartbeat if they did because these guys were really trying to help. I'd been in the store multiple times before with a friend who ended up buying a road bike from them at a grrrrreat deal! We went in several times before he finally decided he would purchase the bike. Service was superb and prices were affordable in comparison to the other bike shops we visited that week. In turn, i was convinced I needed a bike as well and should start shopping around which led me to visit several bike stores in the area. I narrowed it down to two bikes... a Fuji at Bike Masters and a SPECIALIZED at Bike Tech. After visiting both stores multiple times, I knew I saw a difference. I wanted to give bike masters the business because the guy was really trying to work with me, he was giving me a great deal and I felt he was honest and helpful. In the end I went for the specialized for the color accents I liked more than the fuji. I did not buy it from bike tech though since they were too expensive, but I will definitely be coming to bike masters for my service! read more

Terrible customer service by an older guy with slicked back white hair, maybe the owner/manager, or just an employee on a power trip. I was in there to shop for a bicycle and since they had a vast selection I figured I may at the very least sit on a bike to get a feel for it (I wouldn't expect that I can take it out for a test ride). This "guy" (a-hole is a better description) says I can't even sit on the bike and that I have to make a decision just by looking at it and that I should know what I want-get in, get out. After me, comes in another guy asking for a tire to replace on his bike and the same worker gives this guy attitude also. I get that this is a boutique bike shop and for that reason is why I figured I'd get a better bike-shopping experience, but that was not nearly the case. read more

Avid rider and had been a customer of this place when they first opened, it WAS great. I went in today after a 6 year absence and it will definitely be the last. Going to confirm the other reviews stating how rude the older gentleman is. Not even a hello or welcome, almost seemed to be annoyed by my presence. He noticed I had wheel parts in my hands and simply pointed me to the mechanic. Go to the mechanic who seemed too busy putting tools away than to acknowledge me for an unusual amount of time. Then I saw the Yelp reviews for Bike Masters and felt very confident coming here. Thanks, Yelpers. I came in today to get my flat tire fixed. They dealt with it immediately and I was in and out in less than ten minutes. $10.70 for both parts and labor, and I didn't have to worry about damaging anything by attempting to do it myself. Asked what bike I was trying to fix and immediately said he didn't have the parts. I then asked if he had any handle bars or seats that I can purchase. As expected in Miami, the majority of items are road bike. But I was still able to find some necessary items for my MTB with good help. I'll be back for those repairs when needed. Went to buy a Trek, called around and got some good prices but Robert at Bike Masters beat all of their prices and really worked with me on pricing with other things such as a new helmet, shorts and pedals. Their customer service is outstanding, I went to Cycle Mart and they wouldn't even let me test ride a bike that I was about spend 1k on so I just left and went to Bike Masters, Robert pulled the bike I wanted off the shelf, ask for my DL and said go try it out, I went to the parking lot rode the bike for like 5 min and went back in and bought not only the bike but a whole other bunch of stuff. They were drinking Cuban coffee and even offered us free coffee, now that is called taking care of your customers. Very well maintained store and friendly staff, they even let me try on the bike shorts (which I bought). I know this is off subject but, a Homeless lady dropped by Bike Masters while I was there and she had a one of those carts on bicycle wheels which one was flat and Robert and his staff took care of the lady which he didn't have to which really says alot of what kind of people you will be dealing with at Bike Masters, there are still good people in this world, especially in Miami. I called the place yesterday May 28 at about 1 pm to get my tires replaced on my bike. The fellow that answered the phone told me that he had too much work and to come another day. He sounded that he was not the owner or he did not feel well. Today May 29 at about 2: o clock I called again. The same guy answered the phone. He wanted to know what repairs my bike needs. He said the shop could manage it. I drove almost 10 miles to the shop. The door was locked and the same senior citizen open the door and started complaining that he has too much work and that I could not even leave the bike for the new tires to be done. I asked him why he did not tell me over the phone not to come today for the repairs and he had no answer. This senior citizen is either not the owner or he does not feel well. I indicated to him that some businesses were closing for not having work and he kept complaining that he has "too much work." It is a good thing for customers that there is no business monopoly on bike repairs. read more

This is one of the best bike shops in Miami. They are focused on giving you a great service and satisfaction. The whole staff is friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. Their selection is broad, from commuters to road bikes. Robert gave me the best bike for my budget, great prices on apparel and gear, and actually managed to give me a better frame for my first road bike. I called them, made an appointment for the very next day, took it in as scheduled, and BOOM... Done. Quick and easy. I then took the box to UPS and had it shipped to my new city :) The tech was very, very nice, helpful, and looked like he knew what he was doing.
