I initially met Crystal and her team when I got my makeup done for my SIL's wedding. I was so happy with how my hair and makeup looked that day that when I got engaged and started to plan my own wedding, I knew I didn't have to look any further than Bijoux. Crystal and her team were so professional in their communication. Every interaction that I had with them felt like I was chatting with friends. I felt so comfortable with them! On the day of the wedding, the team definitely made me feel like the star. They had amazing attention to detail for each of my bridesmaids and helped them look and feel their best. I honestly didn't know my friends are so attractive! Joking aside, the beauty team addressed any needs from my bridesmaids and also demonstrated expertise when it came to my hair and makeup. They took into account my dress and veil and all the little details when designing my look. I would highly recommend Crystal and her team. They made my day absolutely magical!
Crystal is a phenomenal wedding makeup artist! She was incredibly sweet and easy to talk to throughout the entire process. I realized after my first trial that I had a TON of really specific preferences about my makeup. Specifically, I was hoping for a more lightweight makeup look similar to what is popular in Korea. Crystal worked with me to schedule a second trial and listened to exactly what my preferences were. In the second trial, she matched exactly what I was looking for to give me the wedding look that I wanted. She did an amazing job with the blush, contouring and eye makeup based on my face shape. On the wedding day, my makeup was exactly as I liked, and held up really well all throughout the night! I felt a million times more confident and happy with my appearance, thanks to Crystal's makeup :)
Crystal is seriously the best. She is such a professional and detailed makeup artist! She's one of my top 3 vendors from my wedding day based on her service, work ethic, and level of professionalism. Before finding her on Instagram, I contacted several well-known wedding makeup artists in OC and even had 3 in-person trials. Crystal was a breath of fresh air. From the very beginning, I knew she would deliver a one of a kind service because of her attentiveness to her clients. She also listened to things I liked and did not like which I appreciated greatly. During my past trials, the artist would just start doing makeup on my face before even understanding my style or skin type. On my wedding day, Crystal and I went for a natural look that emphasized long lashes. I was very particular about going natural and looking timeless. I'm SO happy with how my makeup and hair turned out. I am actually sad I'll never be able to create that look again, but it was absolutely breathtaking. Most importantly, I felt and looked like myself and not someone else. The makeup lasted the entire night even though there were a lot of tears involved. Not only did I love my glam session, Crystal's team also did amazing work on my 7 bridesmaids and my mom. The girls all LOVED their makeup and hair. We had so much fun and all of my girls loved their finished looks for the day. Thank you, Crystal! You're the best :)
I can't say enough amazing things about Crystal and her team. I found Crystal on Instagram and immediately fell in love with her work. I love how she kept the beauty of all of her brides, and I knew I wanted that for myself on my wedding day. I met her when she gave me a bridal trial, and we got along so well! She is so sweet and really listened to what style of makeup I was comfortable with for myself. I loved how my makeover came out and I knew that even if I wasn't getting married, I would hire her to be my makeup artist for anything! Fast forward to the night before my wedding... I got news that my hair stylist got terribly sick with the stomach flu. YIKES! I didn't want her coming because I didn't want to get sick on my wedding night. The first person I called was Crystal explaining what had happened. She immediately put me at ease and told me she would take care of it. I knew I could trust her. On my wedding day, she and her team arrived ON TIME, and really set the tone for the entire day. They arrived before the sun came up and by the time I had woken up, they had already finished doing hair and makeup on half of my bridesmaids! We were actually running early and that's such such a blessing to have on your wedding day. I didn't feel stressed at all; I really just got to enjoy my morning with my girls as we got ready. She did an amazing job with my makeup, and the girl she brought in (Meghan) to save me and do my hair was amazing as well. Everything was perfect! All my bridesmaids looked gorgeous. My mom loved her hair and makeup too! I felt like the prettiest bride! Even with all the hair and makeup, I still felt like ME. Thank you Crystal for being a part of my special day and for making me look and feel so beautiful! You are truly one of a kind
Ahhhhh!!! I don't even know where to begin!!! From the first time I met Crystal and we had our trial makeup and hair session, I fell in love with her and her work!!! I knew she had to be the one to take care of me and prepare me on my big special wedding day! She not only helped achieve the look I desired, but also cared for my skin and hair texture! Crystal and her team including Vicky and Toni all did an AMAZING job preparing my bridesmaids and I last Saturday (12/22/18) on the day of my wedding. Not only are they caring, professional, and detailed oriented artists, they did not make us look fake or as if we had make up caked on! We all looked flawless and they enhanced our natural beauty rather than change us, which is difficult to achieve! I love crystal and wouldn't want anyone else to prepare me for any event!! I will definitely be booking crystal again for all my future events, and I recommend anyone needing their makeup and hair done look no further! You will fall in love with this beautiful gem!!
A great example of going above and beyond. I love that she masters lots of different looks. I never felt pressured towards anything I didn't 100% want for myself. She asked lots of helpful questions to help her give me the look I wanted - simple and sweet. I think as a bride, it's so important to work with people that respect YOUR vision for your day. For most brides, there are already enough people giving you their two cents on what your big day should be like, or what they think "would look great." I was incredibly happy with Crystal - she made my vision for my big day come to life. Flawless attention to detail. I would recommend her to anyone I know that has any occasion they need a stylist for.
Crystal has (wo)manpower and comes with an army to prepare your zombie-looking self into a beautiful bride! Crystal and her squad are *thumbs up emoji* times 10! I met Crystal during my trial (which I used for my engagement shoot) and we hit it off immediately! She's super sweet and hilarious, but of course, she nailed it for my day-of look. I am one to lay on the makeup because I do frequently get dolled up when going out; so with makeup...I know what I like and don't like. Crystal knew what would work for me and I loved the end-result for my trial so she was immediately booked for my wedding. On the day of, she came with an army to transform my bridesmaids and me and we laughed and enjoyed ourselves all throughout the process. Even for some of my BMs who liked a more 'natural' look, Crystal was able to accommodate so she can work any look you desire! I highly recommend Crystal for all of your special occasion looks. She's the sweetest and a phenomenal artist!
I attended a wedding at Pelican Hill last month and I wanted to get my hair and makeup done. I started looking up reviews and I found Bijoux Beauty. I am so happy I went with Crystal. She was amazing! I wish she lived in Vegas because I would have her do my makeup all the time! She made me feel so beautiful, but I also didn't feel overly 'done up". It was extremely easy to book, she replied to the message I sent her within minutes. She came with everything she needed to my hotel and got me ready. I showed her the dress I was wearing and gave her some ideas I had about hair and makeup and told her to do the rest. That's how good she is! She really exceeded my expectations of how I'd look. 5 stars all the way!
They were so easy to book and pleasant to work with. Made me feel relaxed the whole time. I think the pix speak for themselves!
The lepique beauty team was excellent in their hair and makeup both for my engagement shoot and the wedding. They were prompt, easy to get ahold of and so gracious when I kept asking if more people could be added to have their hair or makeup done. Not only did they give me tips to keep my skin hydrated before the wedding , they were so sweet to work with and made everyone in my bridal party as well as my aunts/moms skin look flawless. I wanted a more natural look and they were able to make me look like I was wearing a second skin! Also of note- both days of my engagement /wedding had lots of traveling and sun and the makeup lasted all throughout the day and night without smearing or looking caked on by the end of the night. I would absolutely recommend this team to anyone as they know how to work with multiple skin types and colors and are so sweet and friendly above all! Make sure to book them for your next wedding or event bc they are absolutely amazing :)
Bijoux Beauty has transformed my life forever and am forever grateful for opening me up. Their attention to detail from booking, scheduling, consulting through the variety of looks, and day of setting-up while making me feel comfortable on a nerve wrecking day is already the one for me. I am a very shy and introverted person and never felt so at ease and myself. I have booked Bijoux beauty a few times before including attending weddings, work anniversaries, my birthday, and I cannot wait to book her again! Crystal inspired a new look I never dreamed of- I am so thankful of how kind and reassuring you are. Bijoux has helped me gain strength in beauty Xx
I had Crystal and Corbin do hair and makeup yesterday for my sisters wedding. I had originally found the company on yelp and they had great reviews so I decided to go for it and book them for their services. Crystal communicated with me every step of the way which was great! She gave me a timeline of exactly what to expect and showed up on time. She takes Venmo which is convenient and requires a deposit to secure the day. Crystal did the makeup and She really took the time to listen to what we wanted and definitely made us look our best, she put on individual lashes on both of us we loved them! They looked fantastic and even lasted to the next day. Corbin asked the right questions about how we wanted our hair to look and it lasted all night! I would highly recommend them and would book them again for any event where I needed to be done up.
Where do I start! Crystal at Bijoux Beauty did my hair and makeup for my wedding, and Norma for my bridesmaids. They are both absolutely amazing and talented artists, and so much fun to spend time with as well. My friends and I all had a blast chatting with them while they beautified us, and we certainly did feel beautiful afterward! I had a truly amazing experience working with them and would recommend them to anyone!

DISCLAIMER - This is from a makeup trial in 2020 and wedding in 2021. It took me time to get the courage to write this review, because Crystal seems like such a sweet person. However, I don't want anyone else to have an experience similar to mine. First off, I think her makeup skills are amazing and loved her makeup work. She took into consideration my photographer's editing style and how the makeup would show up in the photos. She's also a bubbly person that was very easy to talk to. Makeup Trial in 2020: Makeup turned out great in the photos. It took me a bit to get comfortable with how it looked in person, because I wasn't used to wearing much makeup, but she talked me through everything and wanted to make sure I was comfortable. The makeup still looked great at the end of the night though too - and this is after doing an ocean-side photoshoot. The cons: - She ran 5-10 minutes behind schedule and the trial ended up taking longer than expected due to struggles with my hair; so I had to rush to make it to my engagement shoot. However, I did appreciate how Crystal still took the time to listen and try to correct things. - My hair - I wanted a half up, half down w/ curls hairstyle. In a call beforehand, I had explained to her how my hair has a difficult time keeping curls and that I usually can only get a hold with a straightener. I can't remember if she used a curling wand or a curling iron, but the curls were already falling flat during the trial. By the time of the photo shoot, my hair was lightly wavy. By the end, it got pretty flat. She did offer a discounted retrial to try another technique to see if my hair would hold better. I didn't end up doing a retrial since I had to reschedule my wedding. (Rescheduled) Wedding Day in 2021: I had booked Crystal for makeup for my wedding for myself and my mom. The days beforehand, she mentioned how she was getting vaccinated. Skip forward to the morning of my wedding. I wake up a little over 2 hours before our appointment time, and I notice a text from Crystal that was sent less than 6 hours before our appointment. She says she's so sorry, she's been having chills and nausea and that she's unsure if she can cover and she's reached out to her immediate artists. I don't hear from her again until 1.5 hours before our appointment, she confirms that none of her artists have reached back out to her yet. I'm not sure, but it seems that she became symptomatic because of the vaccination. At that time, it was known that people get side effects from vaccinations, so I thought it was unprofessional to schedule a vaccination right before a booking. It also did not help that Crystal was unable to find a replacement. It was such a stressful morning... In the end, luckily my friend found someone else available to do my makeup and my mom went to a salon. read more

CRYSTAL IS THE BEST!!! I just got married yesterday & Crystal was amazing! I found Bijoux Beauty after many hours spent on Yelp. It paid off so well because Crystal did my hair and makeup flawlessly. During our trial, she was super attentive in what my preferences were, taking into account my inspo pics and my skin tone. On the day of, she delivered and remembered all my preferences, accommodating so well! She is also so sweet and easy to talk to. My bridesmaids loved her as well, mentioning over and over how sweet my MUA was. My husband described her makeup as an "elevated version" of my normal makeup which is exactly what you want on your wedding day! She makes your skin look sooo good and it stayed on the ENTIRE day. I didn't even reapply lipstick! The makeup and hair did NOT budge and it was raining. read more

Crystal is a magician! I had my bridal hair and makeup trial done the day of my bridal shower and I felt like a goddess! I never knew I could feel so pretty. Not only was my makeup flawless and stayed on all day in the sweltering heat, but my hair was gorgeous and had more volume than I thought possible. Crystal is sweet, fun and professional! I can't recommend her highly enough. It was so nice to just be able to sit back and watch her work her magic with very little direction. I honestly cannot wait to have her do my wedding makeup in a couple of months. I know it will be perfect. read more

Where can i start, well first and foremost crystal! She is amazing. From the inquiry to make up trial, the wedding and itself until now. Loved my make up for my wedding, it was clean, simple and yet timeless. If you are looking for a great makeup artist don't look any further! She has fair pricing and she is great to work with. I have reffered her to most of the friends who are getting married because of her professionalism and kindness. She will make you feel at ease on everything that she does. Such a sweet girl! And also her team is amazing! Thank you again read more

These girls are amazing! Crystal worked on all my brides maids and my mom on their make up! My mom and my cousin never wear make up but they loved their make up! Kristina did my hair and make up and she did bridesmaids hair. My mom is quite picky when it comes to her hair but she loved it! And it stayed together all night (even through dancing) These girls are amazing if I ever have a chance to get my hair and make up done again, they'd be the first girls I would go to. Also they drove from Laguna to chino hills and made it early. Which was awesome because we were Pretty worried about time. But everything was perfect and we all received compliments on our hair and make up all night! read more

I needed to find a makeup artist and hair dresser for my wedding and I came across Lepique. They are amazing at what they do. First they came over to my house and did a trial run for engagement photos and then did makeup/hair for my wedding which was 10/23/16. I had 5 bridesmaids, 1 flower girl and my mother. The girls looked beautiful!! Lepique did such a great job and we had so many compliments about their hair and makeup. They are such nice and sweet girls and I can't wait to use their services in the future. If you are looking for someone to do hair or makeup, PLEASE use these girls. They are professional and amazing at what they do. Thank you for making me and all my girls look so beautiful for my wedding. Vicky did my makeup on 4/2/17 for my friend's wedding and it was beautiful! It was exactly what I wanted and I got so many compliments. Vicky is so talented. Thank you Vicky for making me feel like a princess. read more

Crystal has done an amazing job on my makeup for my bridal shower and also my wedding makeup. I am super picky about my eyeshadow tones and the shape/thickness of my brows. Crystal has been very patient and attend to all of my needs. For my hair, I had 2 different headpieces and she has done an amazing job on placing it perfectly. One thing that I greatly appreciate is that crystal has helped facilitate and filtered out a lot of people on my wedding day, she kept me calm and kept the bridal room calm and quiet. I strongly recommend Crystal and Kristina to your beauty needs, they will make you beautiful! read more

Crystal Wei and her team are amazing!!! I just had my wedding on June 9th and I will be forever grateful for Crystal's talent. I had secretly stalked her Instagram for about a year before I was even engaged. I noticed she was tagged frequently in another wedding photographer's IG and I loved her style so decided to follow her. I immediately fell in love with her talent. I really wanted someone who could do makeup for Asians. I know this might sound ridiculous but I've had many people try and do my makeup and not understand that my Asian eyelids aren't the same as a non-Asian person. I reached out to Crystal and had her do my bridal trial. When she arrived at my house, I immediately fell in love with her. She was warm, genuine, confident in her abilities, and open to feedback. I knew I was in good hands. Plus, she loved my crazy French Bulldog and wasn't phased at all by my chaotic environment. I basically told her I wanted a somewhat bold eye makeup but natural face, makeup that would stay on even with my oily skin, and through it all still somehow look like myself. I was blown away and obsessed with my makeup and hair at my trial. Having such a wonderful experience at the trial made me feel so confident and relaxed on my wedding day. I woke up that morning and knew Crystal would take care of everything. Not only was I confident in her, but also her entire team. I completely trusted them to do their thing. They made my bridesmaids, future mom in law, and future sister in law look flawless and everyone loved how they looked. If you are looking for someone who will understand what you want and make it even better, then these ladies are the ones to hire. I loved them! She also made my small Asian eyes appear larger which I loved haha. Side note: I also love Crystal because she posts about skincare and gives the best tips. She does it in a way that isn't a sales pitch but is simply her honest opinion. Because of her, I am now obsessed with Clarins' products and my skin has been so nice and glowing. She's amazing! read more
I LOVE Crystal! There are so many reasons to love Crystal--her affinity for good R&B, her personality, and most of all, her makeup skills! Crystal worked wonders on my wedding day, and I couldn't be more thankful. As a nervous and stressed out bride, my skin was not in its best shape, but Crystal made it look flawless. She was the first vendor I worked with on my wedding day, and she absolutely kicked the day off the right way with her positive demeanor and her mad makeup skills. I'd recommend Crystal and her team hands down! read more

Crystal is a true artist and a gem of a person. I hired her for my wedding after months of searching for a makeup artist (I am super particular)and instantly fell in love with her work. I could not have been happier or have been in better hands. Crystal captured exactly the way I envisioned looking on my wedding day and was so much fun to have around. She made me feel so special and cared for and I feel so lucky to have worked with her! My mom, Mother in law, and I felt our most beautiful and confident and we have Crystal to thank! I would book her again in a second. Thank you Crystal!!!! read more

Before I start writing, I just want to say JUST DO IT! CRYSTAL ALL THE WAY. Many people say a wedding is just one day of your life and it'll pass by in a blink of an eye, and although that is so true, what will last forever is how you felt on that day as a bride and the pictures that will be forever written in time. I just married the love of my life last May 2018, and yes, I'm just now writing my long pushed back review lol. Life as a newlywed is amazing but super busy! And, I'm also not one to write reviews, ever (I'm not just saying that like the hundreds of reviews that begin with that line and makes you wonder if it's really authentic). But after my wedding experience there are a couple of people that without, my wedding day wouldn't have been as beautiful as it was. Crystal at Bijoux Beauty nailed it. I was extremely lucky and stumbled upon her on Instagram while researching hundreds of makeup artists on Yelp, Instagram, recommendations from friends, coworkers, etc. With four of my closest friends getting married as well, I learned a lot from them and their perspectives. I went into it thinking, I want an affordable makeup artist since it's so expensive nowadays, only to realize that you can't have both cheap and good. And if one thing should matter, it should be you! Not the draping on the ceiling or the silverware on the table. My friends suggested a few well known artists, but I wanted to take a chance to find a true gem without breaking the bank. After looking through her profile, I really liked her work and found some that were exactly what I was looking for - classy, soft, and natural. Now, the hard part was how it would look on me. Makeup on me is very difficult, subtle additions or strokes can make drastic changes, plus, how would a stranger know how to work my face?! So I went in for a bridal trial, and to be honest I left a bit disappointed and not surprised. It wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but in a way it sort of was. I loved her technique and quality in both style and products used, and my brows and skin came out flawless (no dried out lines or clumps). It was perfect, but somehow, my look was still off. It took me, and a couple of other people, a while to figure out that it was the eyes. Sometimes what you see on other people might not look good on you, so you have to figure out what works specifically for you, even if it's surprising. And so I told Crystal what I wanted differently for the wedding (after all, that's what a trial is for right?) and risked not doing a second bridal trial because my gut really loved her style and trusted that she would nail it on the wedding day. And so she did, 6 months later. My skin was even more flawless and glowing on the wedding day, my brows were soft and on point (NO ONE draws more beautiful brows than Crystal), my lips were lush and beautifully drawn with the most perfect mixture of nude lip colors, and most importantly were the eyes. She took out eyeliner on me, applied more dramatic lashes (which I still have and use because it is unbelievably great quality), soft and subtle eyeshadow, and overall perfection. Even my best friend or myself couldn't recreate what she did. And the best part about it? It lasted for 17 HOURS. And did not feel heavy at all, it was a breeze. I had a long traditional Asian wedding day with a tea ceremony, church ceremony, and dinner reception; which called for 7am makeup, multiple outfit changes, lots of running, and traveling from one point to another. At the end of the night when my hubby and I finally arrived at our hotel at midnight, I was shocked that my makeup held up through all of it: the tears, the constant tissue wipes, the sweat, my face landing on many people's outfits, the hugs, the dancing, the drinks, and all of the crazy. All without one single touch up! It was amazing. As for my hair, let's just say Crystal nailed my beachy half up half down do, without a trial. She's just that great. It's been 9 months since my wedding and looking back, honestly some things don't matter anymore, and I even forgot about some things. But I still feel as happy and beautiful now as I did then. When the pictures and film came in, it was the dream that I've dreamt of as a little girl. I looked the way I wanted to look, but better than I imagined thanks to Crystal, and now timeless. I can't help but compare my makeup to many at other weddings (with the well known makeup artists), either as a guest or bridesmaid, and they just won't do anymore. So if I could do it all over again, I would choose Crystal a million times. So if you are considering, JUST DO IT. And make sure it's Crystal. You won't regret it. You can work with her to create magic, the kind of magic that you can see and feel. So happy wedding planning! And best wishes to you and your future hubby! read more

I hired Lepique to handle the hair and makeup for my daughter's wedding. The team did hair and makeup for the bride, the bridesmaids and for me, mother of the bride. The bride was radiant, the bridesmaids loved their look and I was so pleased too. TY so very much Lepique! Will post my before and after. read more
