***BRE BUSCAGLIA - THANK YOU, YOU ARE THE BEST IN ALL YOU DO!!! *** At 44, I decided it was time to stop hopping between barbershops, fade specialists, and chain hair studios, hoping for consistency. I wanted someone who could truly understand my hair, deliver a great cut every time, and help me look my best. That's when I found Bre Buscaglia at Soho--and wow, she exceeded every expectation. From the start, Bre did something no one else ever had: she took the time to evaluate my hair, explain what needed to grow out, what needed trimming, and what the end result could look like. Her vision and expertise immediately earned my trust. She even recommended products that rejuvenated the melanin in my hair follicles, slowing down greying and restoring a healthier, richer color. To my surprise--it worked! For the first time in my life, I let go of my teenage fade, and with Bre's guidance, my hair reached a length and style that I never imagined would suit me so well. My once dry, greying hair now looks vibrant with a natural brownish-grey tone, and it's healthier than ever. Not only is Bre incredibly talented, but she also genuinely cares about her clients. She's passionate about her craft and takes pride in how her clients feel when they leave her chair. I now get compliments on my hair--something that never happened before. People ask what products I use or who does my hair, and I proudly tell them: Call Bre at Soho! Bre's attention to detail, expertise, and dedication make her a standout. You pay for quality, and with Bre, you'll get results that surpass your expectations. If you're looking for someone who truly knows hair and will help you look and feel your best, I highly recommend booking with her! read more

I booked an appointment with Lisa, described as a curly hair specialist, on January 8. I mentioned my hair type to the receptionist, and she said I didn't need a consultation. For reference, I have thick, curly hair and requested partial highlights and a haircut (long layers with face-framing pieces). The stylist was a little late, and the first hour of the appointment was spent without any work being done while she figured out how to proceed. Throughout the appointment, there were repeated comments about how much hair I have and how unprepared she was, which made me feel uncomfortable. I was even asked to brush my own hair before the haircut, even though it wasn't tangled, something I've never experienced at another salon. I also overheard her speaking with a coworker about how much I would have to pay. The foiling process took significantly longer than expected, and toward the end, the stylist seemed rushed as it was closing time. After washing and swiftly trimming, my hair was left wet, with only the front pieces blow-dried, making it difficult to see the color result. Once I styled it at home, there was little to no visible change in color, and it did not match what I had asked for. My hair had unnecessary chemicals added without a real result. I was charged $400 for four hours, including an hour when no service was performed. I also wasn't aware they charged by the hour until I arrived (their website lists prices per service). The stylist commented, "I am only going to charge you $400," implying it could have been more. I ended up disputing the charge with my bank, which sided with me, as the service did not reflect the time, cost, or expectations. I reached out to the salon to share my concerns, but they were dismissed without addressing the specific issues I mentioned. I've attached a photo showing my hair immediately after the appointment, mostly wet and unstyled. For comparison, the same service elsewhere took under three hours, costed $300, and produced the expected results with my hair being styled and the customer service being great. I would advise clients with thick and/or curly hair to ask more questions about the stylist's experience, timing, and pricing before booking. I would also like to note that this review reflects my personal experience. Any invalidation from the salon does not change how the service was delivered, the customer service I received, or the inaccurate pricing compared to what is listed online. I hope the salon can learn from this feedback to improve their service for future clients, especially those with diverse hair types. read more

I had the Magic Sleek treatment done by Lisa on my 3B curls and the results were LIFE. CHANGING. I love my curls but they were so difficult to maintain..I was spending a ton of time on my hair. Lisa suggested the Magic Sleek because it's customizable (I didn't want to lose my curls, just soften them) and it lasts much longer than the Brazilian blowout. And no formaldehyde! You can see the incredible results in the photo. Ladies I wash my hair and it dries like THIS. No 4+ hour dry time, no excess product, no FRIZZ ...just soft, manageable curls. (Also if you want it pin straight you can do that too!) Thank you Lisa for my amazing hair! read more

Bre has been styling my hair for over 13 years, and not only is she a genius with blondes and balayage, but she's also become a true friend I look forward to seeing and catching up with. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair. So much so that I've been commuting from Los Angeles to Orange County for more than a decade just to see her at Soho. I would love to give a shoutout to 2 amazing stylists that saved my hair. Ended up with the biggest knot I had ever seen in my life in my hair and Daniella and Debra selflessly worked to comb it out. They did such an amazing job, so patient and didn't tear my hair. I appreciate their hard work so much. Highly recommend both of them. If they could get that knot out they can do anything with your hair :) read more

This review is long overdue... I have been going to Daniella Blaul since 2021. She turned my dull, lifeless Covid hair (I was self coloring and long overdue for a haircut) into beautiful, shiny chocolate locks. In addition to her master cuts and color, she is an absolute doll and tells the best stories! If you have gray hair that needs a little bit of love, Daniella is your girl. read more

Tiara is an artist and she has a client for life now. Background: It had been 2 plus years since I got a real haircut. The last two "professional" cuts I got in the past 6-7 years were terrible experiences and lead me to trim my own hair for years in between. Had a tough time during the pandemic and thought I'd treat myself to a REAL cut. Randomly called and scheduled my cut with Tiara. Expectations: as you'll see in my before pic, I had a big nest of frizzy, dry, unhealthy hair that, frankly, looked kinda disgusting and was all one length. Given my prior experience, I was just hoping for a decent cut that got rid of everything that's unhealthy but left me with enough hair to put up in an elastic...and some layers so I didn't have triangle head. Expectations EXCEEDED: unlike my prior experiences, Tiara listened to me and what I wanted. She has a lot of experience, asked a lot of questions and made some great suggestions. I really felt reassured from the get go. She did an EXCELLENT cut and style that made me feel pretty again - I'd had my hair up for the most part before because it was easy and unmanageable when down. I've never had my hair professionally colored but I'd been interest in some slight moderations. I had only heard the word "highlights" before, but have now learned, and love, my Balayage! I saw Tiara's color work and felt like the time was right. I got a Balayage and am absolutely pleased. WOW!! THANK YOU TIARA! read more

I started going to Anna after both my mom and sisters got their hair done by her and it looked so good! She really listens to what your goals are and also helps with color/cut ideas she thinks will complement you. I really trust her judgement and that's important when it comes to the stylist doing your hair. I love my blonde it looks natural but still bright if that makes sense lol. I have around shoulder length hair that has thinned out in the front. I have gotten extensions before, but was always really unhappy with them. She recently did my extensions and added volume as I am going for a natural look with some added fullness! I've never felt better about my hair and can't recommend her enough. read more

I was lucky enough to have been paired with Wendy. She's amazing and her attention to detail was so good. I was able to get an appointment with her at the last minute for balayage and it came out so pretty. She was able to fit in a cut too and gave me a cute long bob. Thank you Wendy, highly recommend. The salon vibe is so cute and trendy and they carry my favorite hair care Milbon. 10/10 read more

Ruined my hair quality. The cut was uneven, choppy (not the pretty kind, the uneven too much texture kind) and visible color lines on the balayage. Absolutely terrible experience and the worst $380 dollars spent. Worst part is my hair was severely damaged in the process - way more than what was necessary. EDIT: The owner is right - writing a review after such a long time does affect my credulity. I did so for 2 reasons: 1. I hate writing bad reviews. It has got to be an awful feeling to see this about one's work. As requested by the stylist at Soho, I reached out to them directly a week or 2 after the appt. While they "sounded" super willing to help, they actually did nothing. I still thought of letting it go. But a lot of yelpers have steered me away from a bad experience by voicing their opinion. I wanted to pay it forward and let others do what they want with this information. 2. I really needed for someone to show me what AMAZING looked like in order for me to realize what I had was terrible. Clearly the salon is doing something right and has raving reviews. This one is simply mine and it was indeed a terrible experience. That fact stands true whether or not some one agrees. Hope everybody else has a much better experience read more

I came to the salon with 3 feet of thick, course, brown hair, and thought it was going to take multiple sessions to bring my hair anywhere close to the color I wanted. I have gone to Daniella Religiously for 4 years until I received a job offer in San Francisco. The word panic traumatizing is the best way to describe and color or hair extension stylist in San Francisco. I have a group of friends that all want to SoCal blonde with extensions and it has been impossible to find!! Needless to say, I now fly/drive down to OC to see Daniella every 6 weeks. It has curved my anxiety and angst about my hair and worth the trip. The photo with 3 pictures was her pulling out my old extension (yes they razored my hair). Put in new extension/colored matched via Skype. Last three photos are my 3rd and final push up with the extensions she put in to fix the SF hairstylist's hair trauma. I was in the mood to go shorter and blonder.. her assistant finished me up and took photos In two different lightings! Love Daniella. I honestly don't know what I would do without her. read more
