They add such a beautiful artistic touch and really complement any yard perfectly. What really made my visit stand out, though, was Yollie's help. She was incredibly knowledgeable and patient. She took the time to answer all our questions, offered help, and made sure we left feeling confident about our purchase. Her friendly and approachable attitude made the whole experience enjoyable. You'll always get excellent advice here for whatever your landscaping needs! Whatever vehicle we drive down in ends up being filled to the brim with plants. On our last visit we picked up native coontie, corky stem passion vine, milkweed, and several flowering natives... oh, and a beautiful croton. My wife also gets large orders of plants from here for her school, and over the years plants and trees from here have transformed her campus into an oasis with birds and butterflies and wonderful shady spots. Casey's Corner is well worth the drive. They participate in a lot of regional events, so always give them a call before you go to make certain they're on site!

After reading great reviews, I decided to pay Richard Lyons Nursery a visit and was glad I did. The property is a little tricky to find and from the street doesn't look that big, but once you enter, you will see the outside looks are deceiving. This place is packed with all sorts of ornamentals, fruit trees and other types of plants. After choosing several plants and having the sales ticket written up, I was very pleasantly surprised to see that it was only $40. Had I gone to another place in Kendall or a major retailer, I would have paid much more. I will definitely be back for more.

We first discovered Lyons in our search for rare Atala butterflies to augment the population at our house... the folks at Montgomery botanical center had recently brought a population of Atala caterpillars to feed on Lyons sizable coontie selection. We were lucky to get a coontie with freshly laid eggs... that was in late September, and they emerged from their cocoons today (late October). They have a wonderful selection of butterfly larval and nectar plants. They have both local and exotic plants also including bamboo, heliconia, and more. When you arrive, park a short way in... a siren will announce your presence, and you'll soon be met by a guide in a golf cart. We've been four times so far, and each time we go we've discovered a new area, and new plants. As you wander around, make sure you look at the amazing mature specimens that dot the property.... such an amazing variety... it rivals a botanical garden!

I was up from the Keys looking for some small sun tolerant orchids. I never knew this place…read moreexisted! Saw the sign as I was northbound on Krome and made a u-turn. Walking into the property is a true Zen experience with a water fountain and pure tranquil feeling. If I did not know better, I would think this is a wedding venue! Further inside, endless orchids are signed and displayed. There are literally thousands! I was looking for full sun tolerant, so my mission was a bit more difficult. An employee welcomed me and immediately assisted She called over another employee who showed me what would fare best. I needed a few very small orchids. I ended up selecting 3 at $10 each. I will say almost all orchids here are pricey. I'm not good with knowing rarity, but some were $75+. They also had a big selection of beautiful indoor ones at $10 & $15 each. If you are into orchids, this is definitely your destination!
