The orchids are beautiful. However, there are many orchids that have mealy bugs. This causes the…read moreorchids to die quickly and may likely infest other plants in your home. What they do is change the moss around the roots so you cannot see the bugs. They look like concentrated spider webs/cotton. My husband bought several plants to decorate our home the day before Thanksgiving. When he arrived and I was going to arrange the orchids, I noticed that the majority had a blatantly visible mealy bug problem. I called the owner who was very polite and she asked that I sent her pictures. I did. She told me there would be no problem in returning or exchanging. I kept the small orchids (that didn't seem to have any visible infestation, at a risk) and had my husband return the large white orchids. He showed up on Thanksgiving morning to process the return as the owner agreed to and the employee at the shop was extremely rude and condescending. My husband just kept telling her that I had spoken to the owner and that he was only there to return the infested orchids as we agreed. She berated him for no reason and accused him of nothing being wrong with the plants and that clients are never happy. She also said that she couldn't believe we would show up on Thanksgiving to return the orchids. They were clearly infected. The last thing we wanted to do was have to find the time to return the plants, be left without them, and for my husband to have to deal with an employee that lacks education in customer service.

Their prices are good and they have deals like one for $25 or two for $40 pot not included. All the orchids and plants are beautiful and well maintained. Entrance has a cute pond and fish for added aesthetic and paradise vibe. All signs are in spanish and english. Many nurseries in the area but this one stood out. Owners are friendly and service was good as there were many customers looking around to shop.

Despite some questionable quality, I appreciated their willingness to resolve problems and continued to shop here, as they were conveniently located near my work. However, my recent experience has been extremely disappointing. I purchased a large order of 50 orchids, and many of them have died--some within less than a week, and others within two weeks. They appeared to have a fungal infection. While the owner mentioned these were "Class B" orchids (slightly imperfect, such as a broken leaf or missing buds), I never expected them to be sick or dying. At a price of $16 per single-stem phalaenopsis orchid, even "discounted," I assumed they would at least be healthy. 1. I am very disappointed that the owner would sell orchids in such poor health. 2. While six of the orchids were exchanged initially, the owner has since refused to address the issue as more have died. As a loyal customer of several years, I feel let down by how I was treated. I will not be returning to this store and cannot recommend it to others.

I didn't even know that orchids had a scent. There was a yellow and white orchid that we were told is very fragrant at night. The lady that helped us was very patient and answered our questions. She told us that she normally has more orchids and some of the orchids we were looking at were from Thailand. We were amazed because it looked like there were already a lot on display. We were looking at a beautiful deep red air orchid with air roots and were considering buying it but were told that it would need daily watering. We said that that might be a problem because we might end up forgetting to water it every day. She told us that we shouldn't get it then (in a helpful way, not in a mean way) because my husband and I were going back and forth trying to figure out if we could keep it alive if we got it. We ended up with a potted orchid that only needed weekly watering. The orchids were a little pricey but they are not your typical orchids that you would find in Home Depot or Lowe's. I don't recall even seeing these types of orchids at our local nurseries.

All the plants are healthy, thriving, and luscious. I immediately thought... This is going to be expensive boy was I wrong, I ended up getting a plethora of plants, including a ginger plant, and Monstera, a small kettle chip looking plant possibly a jade, a thriving burgundy vine and much more and spent only about $60. Some of the nurseries have added food, animals, and attractions, so it is really fun to come out and explore here. Georgie's Paradise is located towards the end of the strip of nurseries. It is really huge and it looks like it goes on for a mile. I couldn't even walk back that far. Trees ornamental and fruit, plants full sun or shade, flowers. orchids, cactus, they have it all. At Georgie's you can get help directly from the owner, Sandra Sauma. The array of plants is really amazing. They also have a cute monkey theme throughout the nursery owing to Bella the capuchin monkey. There is a very nice monkey topiary over a koi pond. When it is time to spruce up your outdoor space come to Georgie's where you will find great service, selection, and prices.
