There are very few places to smoke cigars indoors in the loop. This is one of the few. It's a nice place, it seems like an amazing place if you have a membership or drop the $75 for a day pass. It felt like you were hanging out in your friend's basement mancave, which while nice left you wondering what the rest of the house must be like. I just couldn't justify the $75 to find out. Cigar selection was okay. Typical stuff and some of the go to "higher end" standards. Personally I think some of the high end stuff is for people with the cash to spend on it and talk about it. I've had some $8 cigars that rival any of the top Davidoff stuff, but in a place like this those cheaper options wouldn't move. The lounge was small, but we got their early and had options for where to sit. I understand exclusive clubs, I just wish in an area with only a few options (especially in the evening) that they'd built out their "general public" space a little more. That won't stop me from going back though, as long as I know I may not be able to find a seat. read more

This place was a great find for my son and me. We were in Chicago for a meeting and wanted to sneak away for a cigar. Unfortunately the weather was a little too cold and way too windy for us to smoke outside. Luckily for us we yelped a place that we could smoke inside and Biggs Mansion was only .4 mile from us. It is located just off Rush Street and Elm. The building is amazing on the outside and the interior is just what you would expect from a first class cigar lounge. They have an extensive humidor and the manager on duty was very helpful in helping us find the perfect cigar. They don't offer alcohol, but in the great commonwealth of Illinois, we felt fortunate to be allowed to smoke in the comfort of their well appointed lounge area. There are plenty of leather chairs and the vibe is perfect. Would highly recommend stopping into this location and enjoy a fine cigar. read more

The staff was very dry. Entire environment was not welcoming. Quiet living room feel so peaceful if you need to go alone and chill. We wouldn't go back. They have an option for BYOB for $30 and you can go upstairs and enjoy your cigar. read more

Nice Location Very clean ok cigar selection i just don't like that options they have on there seating arrangement. If your not a VIP member you cant sit up stairs they charge each person $50 to sit in the VIP. I was there with my wife on new year day and the place was packed in the 1fl i ask the guy if there was any way we can sit upstairs he replied it will be $50 each i understand you got to make your money and stay to your rules but come on. its a holiday no body was sitting upstairs and no kind of courtesy there's no seating for your customers i don't get it. Cigars are meant to sit back relax and feel welcome no matter how much money you have or how you look. This place can be one of the nicest place to have a smoke but somethings need to change. read more

The atmosphere was great as were the cigars. The staff kind of sucked. They weren't interested in educating me about their cigars. I asked if I could smell one and I was told that it's irrelevant as to if the flavor is good and basically implied to just buy what he picked out so he could be done with me. He didn't explain any of the differences between the 3 cigars I picked. His choice ended up being great but I would've liked more help when buying a $18 cigar on a not busy night. read more

We were from out of town and I got a taxi and came across town to smoke outside on the patio. We were told that it was for members only. There were some other people their tonight that weren't members but for some reason they were allowed to smoke in the private lounge upstairs and then on the patio. We asked them how they were allowed, and the they say "the manager asked if they wanted to" ( mind you they were very attractive women. 3 of them). I won't go back. I only visit once a year. But at the end of the day, I know they have to protect the members. But they are located in a tourist town. Figure out how to give people a nice night that are not members. Your lounge in the basement is great. But 2 chairs outside wasn't going kill ya. Casa de montecristo- oak brook. Call them. Ask how they treat there non-members coming from out of town. They give access to their private lounge. That's why I will always go back. read more

Took an out of town buddy of mine here yesterday. He's no aficionado but knows and enjoys a great cigar. We spent an hour catching up and enjoying a great cigar. Atmosphere was perfect... they're still in a "soft open" mode but the 2 rooms that are open have a private club feel. Service was exceptional. There's something about smoking a cigar in a mansion that elevates the whole experience and there are definitely no mansions like it in the United States where you can enjoy the best cigars. They carry Davidoff and Padron, as well as all of the humidors and high-end hardware Dupont lighters and cutters. The staff is sophisticated and knowledgeable and know all of the cigar lines. Biggs is affiliated with three neighboring restaurants: LaStoria (Italian), Chicago Q (BBQ), and Blue Door Kitchen (American). When you get hungry, the staff will deliver food to you at the mansion to enjoy. I bring my clients to Biggs and do a lot of business there and my colleagues absolutely love the place! Biggs has memberships and day pass options that are outstanding. Go give Biggs a try the next time you're in the mood for a cigar! read more

My friends and I came here after Chicago Q for some cigars. I was kind of disappointed. The guy that was working did not seem to want to help us (8 girls in our 20s). He seemed to care more about the men that were already there. We actually ended up asking some customers for their opinions on cigars. The idea behind this place is great, but they could do a lot more. They don't allow alcohol which has sucks. The smoking lounges are small. They do have cigars that are all prices and sizes. My friends had never smoked before and found very mild cigars for their taste. read more

Just wanted to leave an additional comment in regards to John G's post. Biggs has Padrons, Ligas, Opus X, Davidoff, etc. They've got almost every high end cigar you could want. So I'm not sure where he was looking. Also, the BYOB rules at Biggs follow the local law. So I'm not sure why he's so angry. read more

Found this place on Yelp and made it a point to stop by after dinner around the corner. Am I glad I did! Multiple humidors and a ton of brands I've never heard of besides all the mainstream ones we all know. I was greeted by the host as soon as I walked in and shown around, and he also advised me nicely on the stick I had picked out and some cheaper alternatives, and offered to put my coat in the back room to keep it from getting smelly. Pop and water were available too so I got one and sat down in the back lounge (they have two) in a comfortable chair and with a basketball game on. Guys are always coming and going and I got into numerous great conversations with some visitors and some regulars. My new favorite lounge to come to during my Chicago visits. read more

Stopped in here for a cigar with some business friends. Place has a cool look and feel to it. Good selection of cigars with walk in humidor. The upstairs is reserved for members only. No liquor allowed in basement which is open to public. Decent sized seating area for about 10 on one half and then a more open area to on the other side the hang out in smaller groups. Great history behind this place. Could use some updates on the interior, but nonetheless a rare place in Chicago to enjoy a nice cigar indoors, especially on a cold day. read more

I was so excited when i checked out their website as I was travelling to Chicago fro business from Pittsburgh. I was NOT disappointed. This place was more beautiful in person. The outside was really nice with lit up trees and a great patio area. One side for non-members and a private patio for members. The retail store is amazing, the humidor is huge. it houses cigars I just don;t see in Pittsburgh. A huge variety and many top brands! Prices range from inexpensive to the $100 Davidoff. Something for everyone for sure. The public lounge is average size with very comfortable chairs and a big screen tv. Great company as the smokers there were all very friendly, I even met a person from Pittsburgh! The staff is wonderful. Jason was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions, very attentive and polite! I would highly recommend this place to the everyday smoker as well as the once in a while and brand new cigar smoker. Cant wait to go back later this week! read more

Well I've just stumbled on one of the newest. Cigar bars in the city and let me say it's fabulous! First of the location is incredible just steps away from rush st. Second the building is absolutely beautiful. Now it is a little expensive but you can expect that for where it's at. But there selection is incredible the gentleman that help me pick out something light because the truth is I'm not a cigar aficionado I'm just a casual smoker but I know what I like he picked a house brand for me I'm gonna have to go back and get the name. Because it was amazing know they also have a few more levels but you must pay a fee or become a member. I'm not Shute what the membership cost but I'm told it's upward of 5k a year a little rich for my blood but the fee was 60 dollars to get upstairs and it was worth it they have pool tables and great lounge chairs to smoke your stogie I give it 5 star rating due to the location ambience and service definitely going back . read more

Good selection. Relaxing atmosphere. However, if you aren't a member there are only two small areas indoors to sit. If it is very crowded, you're out of luck. They do offer a single day pass but it's rather expensive if you only plan on staying for a single cigar. They only offer water to non members as well. We loved coming here last year to enjoy smoking a cigar outside while chatting and people watching. Excited for the weather to break, we took a trip there and were told their policy had changed. Three different indoors settings to enjoy (big leather chairs, etc) and a patio. Selection is top notch and the staff very professional, a making my 90 minute stop very non rushed..
