Lucky enough to pass this area everyday. It's a beautiful and serene area especially in the spring when the Wisteria is blooming.

Carolina Memorial Gardens Review…read more The staff here were amazing! Professional, courteous, and extremely respectful. They understand that loss happens and wish to make the family and friends as welcome as possible. They showed such compassion. We all suffer loss or will in our lifetime one way or another. This company and the staff went above and beyond to help everyone in attendance and ensure no one was pressured when the service ran longer than planned. Carolina Memorial Gardens...you are all appreciated for what you do. It takes a special person to face death everyday and still have the fortitude to show up, smile, and give your all to families whose lives have been changed forever. Thank you for what you do.

I cannot recommend Simplicity highly enough. I was tasked with coordinating transportation and…read morefuneral arrangements across states for both of my parents and was at a loss of what to do and where to turn. Simplicity was suggested to me, and I am ever grateful! Just after Amy and Bryan took over all the logistics and my family decided to pre-plan/pay for the inevitability of the passing of my 88 yr. old parents, my father did indeed pass away. The comfort and compassion that was provided to my family has been immeasurable- Bryan was my go-to contact and, because of him, the process of moving my dad from FL to SC and then to burial was seamless, worry-free and perfection! If you are looking for whom you can trust in this industry, where you can place your hope and faith that all things promised will be kept with the utmost professionalism and authentic, personal caring- then I urge you to please contact them- ask for Amy and Bryan. My family and I are eternally grateful- and have continued peace of mind as my mother continues to age, that the arrangements we have made with Simplicity regarding her passing will be just as seamless. We all humbly THANK YOU dear Bryan and Amy. You have been called to do such challenging work, but you are outstanding; true beacons in your profession, and such incredible people :D Amen!

They worked with the hospital to transport my husbands body to their facility. They took time to explain the different packages they offered, what I was entitled to, and they offered a checklist of things to do. I would highly recommend this Funeral home to anyone looking a wonderful compassionate group of people.

My father-in-law passed away unexpectedly, and he didn't have anything planned locally in South Carolina. We had to quickly figure everything out and put together a funeral on short notice, which is incredibly overwhelming. Overall, this funeral home was very good. The facility itself could use some updating, but it was clean, and the staff was extremely kind and welcoming. They truly helped take a lot of the stress off our shoulders by handling the majority of the planning and guiding us through the process. That alone made a huge difference during such an emotional time. A special mention to Derek (I believe that was his name), who helped us during the wake and funeral--he was absolutely fantastic. He was professional, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the services. One piece of advice for others going through this--look into purchasing a casket from Costco. The quality is excellent, and it's significantly more affordable than what's typically offered. Funeral homes are legally required to accept outside caskets, and this can save a substantial amount of money during an already expensive time. Overall, while this is never an easy experience, they helped make a very difficult situation much more manageable, and we are grateful for that.

I cannot express how disappointed and disgusted I, the entire family, and friends are with the…read moreservices provided by James A. Dyal Funeral Home. We are from eastern KY but a few of the family had moved to SC. On July 30th my brother's youngest daughter Katie, unexpectedly went to be with our LORD. She was only 30 years old. We all were and still are devasted. Katie was much too young and full of life to be taken in the prime of her life. The family wanted her to be buried in KY next to her mom who had passed away 20 years earlier. James A. Dyal Funeral Home was contacted to pick up Katie's body from the medical center and bring her to their funeral home where they would embalm her. Arrangements were made for a person from our local funeral home in KY to pick her up the following day and transport her back to KY. So now the family receives a bill for a total of $4228. $200 Embalming $12.00 Certified Copy of Death Certificate $21.00 Additional Copies of Death Certificate $3,995.00 Professional Services $3,995.00? For "professional services"? Exactly what did these professional services entail? Just to clarify, the only services James A. Dyal Funeral Home performed were locally tranporting Katie to their facility and embalming her. They supplied no clothes, flowers, cards, casket, vault, TV/radio announcements, preachers, chapel for services, nor transport to Ky. Actually, when the driver from KY (approximately a 7 hour trip) arrived at their facility the next day he had to wait 3 hours because they hadn't even yet touched her. For a business to stoop this low to resort to such unbelievable astronomical price gouging at a time when a family is under such grief and especially when the father has just lost his baby girl is beyond reprehensible. I can not even imagine a more utter display of disrespect to not only our family but to just simple human decency. To be clear, this is not about money. It is a total lack of compassion on the part of James A. Dyal Funeral Home. In all honesty, the only thing our family asked for was a breakdown of what the $4,000 charge included. That amount of money should be easily and completely justifiable but so far no one at James A. Dyal Funeral Home is willing to provide this information. If someone can justify that amount of money then I'm confident the family will be satisfied but I for one am not holding my breath for it. At this point all I can do is post reviews in hopes no one else has to be subjected to such treatment from those who apparently simply do not care. This includes posting this review on the Better Business Bureau website, of which, unsurprising, James A. Dyal Funeral Home is not accredited. Reviews are still permitted however. In closing, in a time when compassion and professionalism should be at the forefront, James A. Dyal Funeral Home managed to deliver the exact opposite. It's clear that they prioritize profit over people, and I would strongly advise anyone considering their services to look elsewhere. Our family deserved better, and no one should have to endure the nightmare that we experienced with this funeral home. Danny Huff, a heartbroken uncle. Love you Miss Kate.
