We all live close but there are four other cafes within quick walking distance whose coffee is as good or (much) better. Until this morning I just wanted to support the neighborhood cafe and the people who work there. After today, no more. I can spend my money at Cafe Liv, Hyperion, Sweetwaters and/or Vertex since this business does not seem to want or appreciate my business. The coffee and the service and the turnover of staff keeps getting worse and worse. The thousand-plus dollars I have spent each year for the past eight years can be much better spent at any of the other cafes that will only add a few minutes to my walk to get to (yes I love and frequent my local cafes!). Thanks for (not) appreciating my business y'all. Jerri

There was not a parking lot, per usual in Ann Arbor. Ended up parking in a neighborhood and walking ~7 mins. Something for you to keep in mind. We love the Bayt Almocha in Dearborn (side note: they have mirrors so don't run into them thinking it's more store like I did) so this felt like a mini version of that location. On that visit, I got the Iced Tiramisu Latte but wanted to try their refresher this time. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. It had a "fake" strawberry flavor and I'm not sure what else to compare it to besides the flavor a strawberry chapstick. I was envying Aidan's Tiramisu and would recommend sticking to getting coffee here so that's why I'm still giving it 4 stars. The store itself is quiet and clean and good for studying. Lots of natural light and not busy at all on a Friday afternoon!

If you have ever loved a coffee or tea with a little cardamom you will find a new love here. Also, BEAUTIFUL space! The comfiest chairs I think I've ever sat in within a coffee shop. We came at a weirdly early hour and there weren't many others sitting in the shop, so my friend and I chatted and sipped for about an hour. We lucked out a second time when we got a seat in the back right as people were getting up to leave! I got the Blue Moon Mojito and Aidan got the Tiramisu Mocha. I really liked the mojito, it had plenty of fizz and a nice raspberry/lime flavor combination. I would recommend getting this to anyone who is a berry refresher fan- nice and sweet! Aidan loved his drink as well and said it was in the top 10 coffee drinks he's ever had. We also came hungry and got the BBQ chicken flatbread. The chicken was pretty dry on it, so I did go up and ask for some more BBQ sauce and they were nice enough to give me that and some chimichurri sauce to try. When we ordered, we asked what came on the Flatbread and they had told us there was lettuce, tomato paste, chimichurri sauce, and BBQ, but looked through the whole thing and couldn't find the sauce. Along with the dryness, the dish itself had some spice to it, so I will probably get something else next time. Besides being busy when we arrived, it slowed down around 3p and made for a peaceful place to do work. We did notice our table was pretty wobbly which Aidan thinks is worth a mention because it made it more challenging to study, but overall, the vibe was clean, bright, and had plenty of comfortable chairs.
