The first time we came we loved the place. It was during a snow storm and we were pretty much the only people there. Tonight we made reservations for 6 people, and we were really looking forward to dinner. At around 6, both the bartenders disappeared, I asked another worker and she said one was cooking and the other was fixing the soda in the basement. We were waited a very long time for drinks. When the bartender finally came back up, the other worker mentioned something about us to her and they both looked over at us, but then she literally served everyone but us. It couldn't have be been more obvious. So unfortunately we left and are going elsewhere for dinner. There's far too many restaurants to patronize in the area and we won't be back. read more

Reservations are not required but recommended. We've been to a few supper clubs in Wisconsin and this one by far is the most updated decor wise which was nice. Street parking was easy to find. Service was great. Broasted chicken and ribeye were both very good which included a potato of your choice and a cup of soup. Prices were reasonable. read more

This supper club is a very nice place to sit down and have a nice dinner. The staff is very caring, and friendly. They truly care about your experience. The prime rib in my opinion is a must have. It is delicious. You may want to make a reservation for weekends or a Friday night because they get very busy. Overall, an amazing supper club and I highly recommend it! Ok so my wife and I are on a mission to hit as many "supper clubs"as we can. So doing a 3day weekend in Green Lake/Princeton area knowing it's a tourist area for FIBs we still went. Arrived 3-4 minutes late for reservations I apologized and we got seated within 5-7 minutes no problem. We got seated and waited 20 min for someone to check on us. I said F it I will get up and get us 2 old fashions which were very good but inconsistent. After enjoying our drinks I still had to get up and ask for a waitress. I couldn't believe how we were ignored. Anyway so the waitress apologized numerous times which I appreciated. The wife got a Haddock dish that was delicious, I of course asked about the prime rib as any supper club should have and she said it's looking good mostly medium is left I said ok and went for it---- big mistake It was pretty rare and just didn't seem like a prime cut. I left most of it on the plate. And then in the one place you should never, ever hear at a real supper club, the waiters/waitress' came up on a table and sang happy birthday!!! I said that's it we are out. This place is not anything near a supper club, it's a bar with a small restaurant and that is it at best. Very disappointed and very dissatisfied. Will not return It wasn't that busy and it seemed no one knew what was going on. read more

Fabulous!! Excellent service! The French onion soup was EXCELLENT & served with thin crispy bread! I'll try the pork chop with raspberry chipotle sauce next time! I loved my pecan encrusted chicken with Angel hair pasta & Alfredo. Our sons steak was tender & perfect! But dessert....YUM! The desserts are made there. This weeks special was German Chocolate Chocolate Cheesecake! Oh yes I'm coming back! Priced well for excellent quality! read more

Saw this place had no photos so I decided to help them out! Friday night fish fry was great (had the perch) and the soups were delicious. Bread was just that, plain ol bread. Warmed, so not bad but could maybe offer different types (whole grain, sourdough, etc...) Service was friendly enough. Very busy as we came around 7 on a Friday night, but it seemed as they were short staffed, needed to prepare a bit more for the Friday night rush?? Overall, would recommend to visit if you are stopping through the area and haven't had a good ole Wisconsin fish fry. read more

Fantastic service, awesome food! We came here this past Friday and had the all you can eat Haddock and jerk salmon. The fish was not dry and perfectly browned. The salsa on the salmon was a perfect accompaniment that lended it to be spicy but sweet. Great balance! Will be back again. read more

I come here frequently, at least once a month. The service is kind and caring, the food is always top notch, and the community of Winneconne is always so welcoming to al newcomers. This is seriously one of the best restaurants around and definitely the best in the village of Winneconne. If you park your boat by the Fin & Fether or on the other side of the bridge where The Other Place used to be, take the short 5 min walk to Biggar's rather than eating at the Fin. The food is amazing at Biggar's and you won't regret it. Plus, you'll be greeted by friendly staff members or the sassy one of the bartenders, Jennifer, always good for a laugh. Inconsistent would be the best word to describe this place. The food is good, and then the next week the fish is rubbery. The waitresses are on their A game, and another time you feel forgotten once seated. The bartender (usually the owner) is jovial and nice, then other times is surly and sour. We dine out easily 2-3 times per week, sometimes for personal fun, other times for business when clients are in town. We no longer bring clients due to inconsistent meals and service- we cannot rely on a positive experience. read more

Went based on friends comment that the grouper was fabulous. Disappointed. Service was great but we had to wait an inordinate amount of time for food. Waitress kept apologizing so something must have been going on in the kitchen. Hubby had the haddock. It was good. Daughter had the salmon special. Was over cooked. Son had the chicken Parmesan- "okay". Grouper was good but given the price I probably wouldn't go back The vegetables were lukewarm and watery. read more

Regulars in town go almost every Friday, I go sometimes. Their stuffed tenderloin is great, my mom likes their haddock. I don't think I have ever had a bad meal there, the bartenders know my wine of choice and always remember to add a few ice cubes to my glass! I don't think I have ever had a bad experience. They knew of my dad's intolerance for garlic so they always told him if something had garlic. That's great customer service! read more

I've only had wonderful experiences at Biggar's. Delicious food, super friendly staff, prompt service and reasonable prices. After the AUCE haddock last night I was full so I brought some bread pudding with whiskey sauce home. Just enjoyed it with my morning tea. Yum! read more

Very good fish & steaks! We hadn't visited for a few years, but were pleasantly surprised when we went back in November so have gone back several times since. Staff is very courteous, with owners Dennis & Barb on hand to greet and serve you. Try it, you'll like it! read more

Tremendous! Little else needs to be said. The restaurant and bar each have a great atmosphere. The wine list was a bit short but priced very reasonably. Service was great and the food was incredible. Perhaps one could fault them for paper napkins instead of cloth but the food and service largely made up for it. Highly recommended. read more

Actually deeply disappointed. My parents had been here before and loved it, so I took them there for their anniversary. We had a nice window table, but our server brought us water, then seemed to forget us. A couple was seated next to us, after us, (different server), and they had their meal before we had even been asked for our order! Mom had the steak, which she'd had before and loved it. Medium well. It came back beyond well done: blackened on the outside (charcoal), incredibly dry. Even getting some au juice didn't help. Dad's blue cheese tenderloin was great (he said). It was Friday, so I tried their all you can eat fish fry. DON'T get the fried fish (you can get fried or broiled). The fried fish was tough, stringy (as though the skin was not scaled)... very weird. I finished my 3 pieces, then asked for broiled. By the time I got my 2nd order, everyone was done with their food (and I'm a fast eater, so I finished well before they did!), so I had to slam my food. It was the broiled fish, and THAT was FANTASTIC!!! SOOO much better than the fried food. Throughout the meal, our server seemed slow and unattentive ... almost distracted. When I complained, later, about the burnt steak (it really was bad), they took $5 off the entire check (which was nearly $100, although all we drank was lemonaide.) As if to add insult to injury, we were seated next to a table of 6, and the guy next to Mom and I SPOKE SO LOUDLY MY EARS HURT! And Mom couldn't hear anything I said.Is it proper for me, when something like that happens, to kindly ask the guy to use his 5 foot voice instead of his 1 mile voice? The waitstaff had heard it was my folk's birthday, so they did bring out a comp dessert ... but by that time, we were so anxious to get out of there we basically slammed it down and left. I was really disappointed. I want to support local businesses, and these folks do have a great reputation -- but there are other places in town I'll try before I go back. read more

The traditional Wisconsin Supper Club experience. Very nice bar that serves big Ol'Fashions just the way you like them from either Dennis Biggar himself or one of the friendly bartenders. You can make your dinner selection from a very diverse menu while you sip your drink(s). I especially enjoy the AYCE Haddock either fried or broiled on Friday nights. The wait for you food is never long. You can eat at the bar or in the cozy relaxed atmosphere of the dinning area. If we have guests visiting us, we always take them to Biggers and have never been disappointed. Give it a try!!!! read more

Probably the best eatery in Winneconne. Family run and very inviting. A good cross between a tavern and a class restaurant. Sit at the bar, order from the menu and they'll take you back when your table is ready. Reservations are not required but are accepted come in handy on busy nights. read more

Our server was very good. The food was okay-although my sister did have to send her undercooked chicken back to finish cooking. We called more than a week prior and asked if they would take a reservation for 14 people because we would be in the area celebrating our daughters college graduation. They said yes, no problem. We arrived at 5:17pm for a 5:15 reservation (Two minutes late due to the entire Main St. being under construction-which we didn't know, being from out of town). Before we even sat down the owner Barb greeted us very rudely and told us we'd have to hurry and order and eat fast because there was another party coming. Barb made us feel like we were inconvienencing her by taking up space in her establishment and we needed to get out of the way for her more important cumstomers that were coming in after us. There was no shortage of seating, from 5:17-6:30 there were 22 empty seats in the dining room, and when we left at 6:43 even after the other larger party arrived there were still 8 empty seats left. Striclty due to the way the owner Barb treated us, I would never eat there again or reccommend this resturant to anyone else. read more
