Nothing but rave reviews for this cute bnb! Plenty of off street parking behind the house. We were able to check in late. The defor is ADORABLE. Children not recommended for a reason- many antique stuff. We stayed in the Hunter room which had a twin and a full sized bed which was perfect. The bathroom was in the room- the water temperature and pressure was exquisite. There was a kitchenette in the basement- I helped myself to tea before bed. It was lovely to sit in the upstairs library and out on the fantastic front porch. Breakfast at 8:30 am with quiche, granola, and sausage. Coffee served at 7:30 am. Wish we could have stayed here longer than one night!

This B&B was easy to find and centrally located. You could go to Bryce or Zion Canyon parks. We were greeted warmly by Scott and shown to our room. It was downstairs and it was called the blue Haven room. Outside of the room was the kitchen so you could put any food you might have in the refrigerator which was really convenient. We were close to two or three other rooms and you could hear everything including people upstairs. But I guess that's the way it is. Our room was spacious and the bathroom was nice and the shower pressure fine. The room was decorated in the motif of blue boy and pinky. The place was huge. Plenty of parking in the back. Breakfast Was just OK, the coffee was good and so was the toast. The egg casserole which we had basically two days in a row was not to good the 2nd day. The sausage was not hot. They had a good selection of fruit and lemon Bundt cake. Our room did get a little warm and we didn't know what to do as there was no thermostat that you could control nor a fan.

Stayed at the Big Yellow Inn in Cedar City. What a cool place! One block from the Shakespeare Festival. The lodging has themed rooms, 8 fireplaces, balconies, porches, and 12 themed rooms. Breakfast was delicious and the owners were wonderful. Great place to hold meetings also with a picturesque backyard.

Nice lobby, warm and lovely inn. Comfy beds!

A warm and comfortable BandB with lots of personality. Located literally next door to the utah shakespeare festival, this bandb is homey and convenient. The inn perhaps defines the word 'eclectic' with a warm wood interior literally filled with interesting curios from all over. Remington sculptures ? Chinoise ceramics? Tiffany glass? It's got it all. Our room and a super luxurious king bed with African themed art. Breakfast was some egg frittata with Jimmy dean sausage and decent coffeecake. The owner could not have been nicer. He (Scott) handled our late checkin with ease and even hauled our luggage up the stairs without a hesitation. The common areas are great for relaxing and had we been here in the summer I'm sure we would have made use of the ample covered props at all levels. A great choice!

Beautiful night in Cedar.

What a beautiful place. One of a kind. The perfect place to stay. Felt very cozy and intimate. Breakfast was very excellent. Wish I had more time to explore the library longer. I would of loved to hear the stories from all of his pieces that's all around the house.

Wow!

Charming, romantic and just beautiful. Driving up to the house and seeing it for the first time will definitely impress you. It's like something out of an old book that you want to keep reading over and over again. Cedar City in general is pretty adorable and some of the streets that these older & newer houses are on are so beautiful. This looks like a Victorian home but it actually isn't. With that said you don't hear the creaking floors as you walk on them and you have every amenity you'd need. The owner and host Scott is also very sweet and I loved our room. Thank you Scott for the complimentary upgrade! The rooms are gorgeous with large bathrooms and we had a huge Cali king size bed which was extra plush. The decor was nautical, room #7 which is called the Bon Voyage room. There are multiple rooms to choose from and all of the public areas are just as gorgeous. You have wifi as well and tv's to enjoy in your rooms. Breakfast is included and you can sit in the beautiful dining area or take it outside which is even better. We had delicious fresh fruit, egg & bacon puff pastries that were divine, sausage, a variety of fresh juice, coffee, and other treats like pound cake and cereals or granola. Breakfast was so good! Our stay was pretty perfect and the house is exquisite. Utah has become my second home and I'll definitely be spending more time at this place. It's also conveniently located right next to the Shakespearean plays and near beautiful parks to visit and hike.

This is historical beauty!!! THIS is THE place to stay in Cedar City! Love it!

Fantastic! The intricate detail that this Inn possesses is beyond words. Scott is a wonderful host. Breakfast is served in the mornings in a beautiful dining room. The rooms at the Inn have ornate dark wood banisters, trim, doors...... the list goes on and on. This is like stepping back in time, 1930's, in style and luxury! I cannot say enough good things about this Inn. I guarantee you, it's your best choice!

We had gotten weekend tickets for the Utah Shakespeare Festival and, even though we weren't looking for anything fancy for accommodations we thought this place looked different so we tried it. First off it is ONE BLOCK from the festival! Talk about convenient! It's very quaint and the decor is great, with each room having a theme. Overall a great experience. I did have to detract a star because of 1) the breakfast. We tried it the first day and the second just went out. Not impressed, really. And 2) the second night some of the other guests decided to have a "front porch party" as they called it, and were shouting, yelling, and being extremely loud until I finally stepped out into my balcony and told them off at nearly 1 am. I could handle normal conversation tones, but this was excessive, and I think they knew it because they stopped the party right away. I don't think the owners stay overnight because she didn't know about it until the next morning.

i absolutely adored this bed & breakfast. easily the most beautiful room i've ever stayed in. upon arrival, my boyfriend & i were given a complimentary upgrade to the victoria room which was nicely decorated with tasteful antiques to fit the theme.. plus, a GORGEOUS red claw foot tub which we got to soak in after a long day of snowboarding. 10/10 recommend. Scott & Barbara are so sweet and the morning breakfast is so delicious. If you're a fan of unique experiences then the big yellow inn is for you!

The Big Yellow Inn was a comfortable, clean & quiet bed & breakfast we loved it!

A typical B&B. Clean and friendly, the coffee could be better. Staying in the Mediterranean room, although it looks more English.

The new flooring, walls, furniture, and restroom fixtures. One thing I do recommend is that they add better ventilation fans in the restrooms that suck the air out quicker and more efficiently. The beds were comfortable and offered very nice bedding. Although I did not need the use of the AC, it did work very well. A big plus about staying at this hotel is the breakfast they offer for free throughout your stay during the morning hours. I hit it up every morning, regardless if I was intending to have breakfast later that day. The breakfast includes biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon strips, sausage links, make your own waffle machine, breakfast potatoes, cereals, oatmeal, and much more, not to mention coffee and teas. There's inside and outside seating available. The hotel offers an inside pool, it's a non-smoking facility, offers a laundry facility, and an exercise room. The renovations will include a new lobby and restaurant and bar. I would stay here again, not only because the prices were very fair and it was a good stay.

Walls are thin and the weekend we were there, there were lots of teens/early 20s folks that were crazy loud in the hall. Glad I had my noise canceling headphones charged up. Parking lot had some construction on one side while we visited. Not a huge deal, jist went around the other side. It might be beneficial to have a separate area for RV parking, as having RVs parked directly behind passenger vehicles made maneuvering around them a little difficult. Breakfast served every morning and it was definitely adequate, nothing to complain about there. Not fancy by any means though.

I immediately wanted to meet each of the pooches and have a cuddle-puddle in the lobby, but I refrained. The hotel itself is fine-the room was incredibly spacious with a double shower that's just begging for some group adult parties. I'm sure this setup is perfect for such shenanigans, but I can't confirm that since it was just me and the wife. But anyway, yeah, that's a balling shower. I also appreciate the higher quality shampoo, conditioner, soap and lotion. Dove is a step above the typical hotel stuff, for sure! Breakfast is rather nice-a full selection of hot items, cereal, fruit and an assortment of juices and coffee. Everything stayed stocked and neat thanks to the attentive breakfast staff. My one complaint about this hotel is the noise. We heard every conversation out in the hall-and I don't think anyone was speaking at unreasonably loud levels. The sounds of footsteps above us made me think that there were large animals running around-but I bet there were not. A little better insulation or other sound-reducing measures could really make a difference. Especially if you have a party in that shower.

We arrived at 2:45pm, check-in is listed at 3:00pm. As I approached the front desk, I was not greeted. No name tags on any employee. One women was on the computer and never looked up. The other women who was messing with keycard folders, finally acknowledged that her lobby was full. I said checking in, she nervously said they had no rooms cleaned and the other women stood up, very pissed off. Looked at her co-worker, as if we weren't standing there and said in a very nasty voice, "they will have to wait until 3 for check in. We have no clean rooms." To which I replied, "I have worked in the hotel industry, there is no way, there isn't a room available, 10 minutes before check in time. You aren't going to turn over 200 rooms in the next 10 minutes, have you not been cleaning them all morning?" She completely waived me off and said, "3:00pm is check in." So at 2:58pm magically they had a room for us to check into. There were pubic hairs all over the bathroom sink and the bath tub. Gross. I let the water take them down the drain. A bag of garbage sat at the top of the stairs for an entire day, not even closed up. Literally in the path of the stairs, fire hazard. My husband reminded the front desk that it was up there at 7pm still. She sighed and said she would get to it. There is NO hot water, no matter what time of day or night you shower. Luke warm at best. Day four and the stairs have not been vacuumed once, since being here. At breakfast, I was pushed to the side by a breakfast attendant twice, so she could grab her rags, as I was reaching for items. We needed a roll away bed for our last night here and requested the bed on day 2 of our stay and we were told that they don't reserve beds, they are first come, first serve. I was instructed to come down first thing in the morning the day I needed the bed. 730am I went down to the front desk to do so. While I waited my turn, I listened to another guest conplain about her stay and watched her show pictures of all the bugs in her room and the hotel tub. The front desk attendant said and I quote, "You didn't have to stay here, you could have checked out immediately and been given a full refund." The hotel guest then said, "There were no other rooms." To which she got a reply, "Look, I wasn't here last night, so I don't know what happened." And she kept looking down at her computer screen, while the customer continued to tell her about her experience. She couldnt even give her the respect of eye contact while speaking to her and acknowledging her frustrations. Basically taking no accountability for the company she works for. I step up to the desk to request my roll away to which I am told, "We have none that have been turned in, come back at 3pm, when it is check in." Seems like there are no processes in place to know when beds are turned in. My husband check again, upon our return from lunch and shopping and he was told they dont have any beds yet and check back later tonight. She put our room on a list of requested rooms that needed a rollaway. I grabbed my book and sat in the chairs on the second floor and waited for house keeping to be done cleaning the rooms. It was about 230pm. I asked him. "Hey, do you happen to have any rollaway beds in that storage closet? We have been waiting all day to have one delivered." He opened up the storage closet and sure enough there were two rollaway beds just sitting in there. Ridiculous that the front desk either doesnt know they are available or too lazy to check the closet. I guarantee they will never call us or bring a roll away to our room today. The 3pm shift arrived for work and I proceed to hear about how pissed off the front desk clerk was having to listen to everyone complain about the rooms. And the lady that showed up to work, asically agreed. The male bousekeeper who works on the second floor asked a housekeeping lead if she had checked out his rooms, so he could put his cart away and go home. She said, just go, no need. The male housekeeper was trying to follow protocal. I am disgusted by the attitude of every single person that works in this hotel, except for the male house keeper that works the 2nd floor. I am now sitting in the room itching everywhere; the thought of bugs in this place eww. I have personally not seen one in my room, but if there are bugs in one room, there are bugs in all the rooms. Eeek. I needed a new room key. As I had lost my key. The front desk made me new room keys, asked for my name, but never my photo ID to prove who I was. So basically anyone has access to your room, if they know your room number and your name. That is such a security/safety breach!!!! Never ever would that be acceptable at another hotel. I called and left a message for Corporate to call me back and not one word from them.
