The Bard's Inn is a cozy, homey, beautiful B&B. One does not need to have an appreciation for Shakespeare to have a great stay but it is more than icing on the top!
I am the first Yelp review and Yelpers need to check out this place ASAP! I found my way here because I needed to stop for the night and couldn't stomach the idea of another sterile cookie-cutter hotel. I checked The Bard's Inn online and found more than 50 reviews that gave this place an average of 4.7 stars. I give it a 5.
I called, spoke to the co-owner Susan, and made arrangements for last night. Susan is delightful, kind, helpful, resourceful, creative, and lovely! Susan was a font of information and there is lots to do in this area. Had I more time, would have gone to the Utah Shakespeare Festival, other theaters and arts programs, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, and places to walk and hike.
Each room is named after a one of Shakespeare's characters. I was in Elizabeth and the queen-size bed was comfy, the room was lovely and decorated so one was immediately at ease; Lots of wood, needlepoint, artwork. There was even a TV, which I did not use. I got a great night's sleep. I saw another gorgeous room that was larger and had a few more amenities than Elizabeth. A couple would have been cozy with plenty of room in Elizabeth but could really spread out in Titania.
I encourage anyone coming anywhere near Cedar City to plan to stop at the Bard's Inn for a few nights. Breakfast was delicious and bountiful with fresh baked goods, fresh fruit, a yummy egg scramble with vegetables picked from Susan's garden, and perfectly brewed coffee. Wish I had more time but am sooooo glad I decided to stop!! read more
