My family and I were traveling to CO and decided our halfway rest point would be Cedar City. We chose this hotel because they are pet friendly. If you get into town late and need to check in, don't fret you just have to ring the bell. I did a pre- check, so check in at the counter was a breeze. I didn't catch the name of the employee, but she was nice and helpful. We were given a door hanger with a paw print to hang outside our door. The room was clean & tidy. The couch has a pull out on the bottom, little kitchenette, desk area - free breakfast buffet is included - there's waffles, eggs, sausages, fruit, etc. We wouldn't mind staying here again if we happen to be in town. read more

We stayed here as part of a cross-country move and couldn't have been happier with our stop at SpringHill Suites in Cedar City. Really surprised to see all the negative reviews. I've stayed here multiple times and it's been pleasant. It's right off the highway, so it's very convenient, especially coming from St George. My room did not face the highway, so I didn't have any highway noise. If you think you are a light sleeper, then you may want to request a room not facing the highway. The bed was very comfy. Rooms have a bathtub. I do wish they had plugs by both sides of the bed, but at least one of the sides does. There's also the suite area with a sectioned off wall and a desk. My only gripe about this is that with a desk it's a little dark, even with all the lights on. There's a little kitchenette with a sink microwave, and a decent size fridge. I didn't have any issues with any of the appliances, which I sometimes do at other hotels. There's also breakfast with multiple hot items. It does get a little crowded at breakfast time so I would plan to eat in the room if you want to avoid people. Another really awesome thing is that there is outside seating. I really like this because the weather in Cedar City is very nice and I like being able to sit outside and enjoy it. There are both lounge chairs and tables, which I used quite a bit. There's not really a whole lot within walking distance of this hotel. There is a Hawaiian place and a soda place, as well as a gas station. But if you're looking for more downtown stuff, you're going to have to drive to get to that. read more

Thought I already reviewed this place before but apparently it didn't get posted? I travel a fair amount and this place was booked by my travel agent, who I have replaced since coming home. Despite being advertised as "remodeled" I wasn't convinced they did much besides paint the rooms. The Shower fixture was dingy and corroded due to hard water. The evening desk clerk was uninformed about the local airport, and didn't seem interested in helping me at all. There's lots of places to stay in Cedar City. This was the worst hotel room we have ever stayed in! The water is very cloudy, the room is older, and we were put in the room right next to the kitchen. They were VERY loud preparing the breakfast. Slamming cupboard doors and drawers, running water at full blast, talking. When we complained to the desk they said "they have a job to do". We asked to have Manager call us... it's been 10 days and still waiting. Not a pleasant stay at all.... Will never book a Spring Hill again! read more

After an amazing stay at a Springhill Suite in Montana, we decided to book a night's stay on our way back from Canada. I thought all Springhill Suites are the same - they are definitely not! In my opinion this location is very, very unclean. The bath tub was clogged, the room had a strong pungent odor (like stale urine smell), a friendly gnat greeted me when I entered my room, there were greasy handprints all over the room - windows, TV screen and mirrors, and strands of human hair on the chair. It was past midnight when we arrived, and we were too exhausted from driving all day that I I did not want to wrestle front desk for a room change. We just crashed into bed and high tailed it out of there in the morning. What a traumatic experience. Never again with a Springhill Suite. I will remember this incident well. I will remember this incident well. It felt as if me and my family slept in a public restroom all night. To be fair, I tried to call the front desk to let them know of the unacceptable state of their room. I spoke to a male staff and told him I was not asking for a room change at this hour, but was calling to let him know all that is wrong in this room before I write a review. He said "please do!" meaning - go ahead and write that negative review. He sounded concerned, but couldn't care less. We skipped the free breakfast, as I can only imagine the condition of how the food was prepared. What's unfair is that I paid close to $200 for this room. read more

We stayed here while visiting Bryce Canyon, only about a couple hours out of Cedar City, Utah so not bad place to stay. We liked this place as it was off Hwy 91 and centrally located to Cedar City. The staff are very friendly, the room is very nice as we stayed for 3 nights, it has all the comforts of a nice hotel, complimentary breakfast was good, complimentary detergent for the guest laundry, room was nice and clean, everything about the stay here was exceptional. read more

We stayed here for one night and had a great stay. The front desk staff is very friendly and accommodating. We booked a king suite but really wanted a room with 2 beds since we were a family of 4. It wasn't available when I booked. But the front desk person was kind enough to find a 2 bed suite! Room was comfortable and the shower was so good! There was also microwave and small fridge which was a huge plus. Breakfast is included and the spread was really good. They had breakfast sandwiches, jalapeño cheese soufflé, waffles, assortment of muffins and bagels, oatmeal, juice, yoghurt and cereal. The lady helping with breakfast was so sweet. read more

It was in a good location and the room wasn't horrible, however it was very dated and that showed with some chips in the paint and cracked tiles in the bathroom. The bathroom itself was also configured very weirdly. The service was hit or miss, with some people being kind and attentive and others being cold and distant. One would think the most vital part of any hotel room is sleep... Not here. Why am I still here? All the other hotels are booked. We made a last minute reservation when we were driving back home from Las Vegas to Salt Lake and didn't want to drive all the way through. (Can I say how much I like the mobile app and the ability to quickly find a reserve a room?) Check-in was simple and the lady at the desk was friendly. The lobby was clean and smelled really good-I noticed the aroma of some kind of scent in the air that I would love to purchase and take home. I wish I could say the same for our room, however. It had a very strong, unpleasant odor. We didn't bother to say anything about it, since we would only be there for a few hours and then back on the road. Breakfast was pretty cramped-small space with a ton of people. We tried to beat the rush and get downstairs right after it opened, which helped, but it was still busy. (We noticed about an hour later when we left to check out that it was much more crowded.) We were excited that the hotel had an indoor pool, but our excitement was killed when we changed into our swimsuits and were greeted with a sign on the door that said the hot tub was out of order. The pool was a bit too cold for us, so we skipped swimming altogether. Overall, it was a good stay and I would visit this property again. read more

This hotel definitely needs some work which baffles me cause supposedly, it has been recently renovated. The lobby looks nice. Once you get to your room, it's quite basic. I had 2 beds with a pullout sofa. There's a fridge which is a plus. The sink was quite small and the shower head was so light. The TV was minuscule and not much of an upgrade whatsoever. Let's talk about the noise. Horrible. It sounded like there was a gym upstairs above us. It got so bad that we actually had to call the front desk to control the noise. Get this. We actually heard a staff member go to the room above us and knock. Yes, it's THAT thin. There were doors slamming all night. I could hear every snore, sneeze, cough, conversation. Sleeping was not going to happen here. Breakfast was included. Typical selection. Eggs, some sort of meat, fruit, potatoes, make your own waffle. Most importantly, coffee. Not that I have any reason to come back to Cedar City, but if I do, I'd definitely choose a different hotel to be able to get some shuteye. read more

Absolutely awful service and things broken in the room. I've never had such a terrible experience at check in. The check in lady barely greeted us, was cold in her demeanor, didn't thank for being elite member, wasn't really nice at all. We got to a room, turns out TV is not working. I try everything to fix it, doesn't work still, so I go downstairs ask her for help. She started asking 'oh it's not possible, did you try using the remote'? Seriously? She started going with me to the room to try and fix it, she sees me going to the elevator and she goes 'oh, I don't do elevators' and just left me there like that. Half an hour later, someone from maintenance comes in, without mask, says 'oh yeah it sometimes doesn't work, there's like some channels but that's extra'. Left the hotel, cancelled the reservation and found holiday inn next door. Avoid this place. read more

Staff is friendly and room is "roomie". It is a bit dated and old. However, it is still fine. The reason why we gave it 2 stars was the room floor. Please DO NOT book a room on the 2nd floor!! The ceiling floors are quite thin. We hear everything, footsteps and people talking through the walls and ceilings. We stayed there for 2 nights and every night, people were chatting up a storm from 12am to 2am in the morning. And, when they walked above, you heard the walking, jumping, etc... If we ever come back, we will definitely request the top floor. read more

I love this hotel. It is always clean and quite. While the staff is not super welcoming they are professional and efficient. Breakfast is well stocked with a wide variety of choices. I downgraded them because of the itty, bitty bar of soap that had to be shared with the shower and no night light in the bathroom. Had to use the services of this Springhill Suites back on November 2nd when we had a breakdown on I-15 southbound enroute to Mesquite, NV. We ended up using my Marriott points here at this location for the night (due to the unplanned stay...), and we are very pleased we did. It was a beautiful hotel...all modern and updated, and out room was excellent. The front desk staff we gracious and generous, even allowing us to grab dinner entree's from the their pantry at no charge. Wow...that really helped after a long day of travel and a breakdown! We very much enjoyed the complimentary breakfast the next morning and (although crowded) it was well staffed and promptly resupplied. A very nice stay indeed. Spent a night here last weekend.. I'm impressed how clean and nice smelling the hotel was. They were full during our stay and we were given an accessible king suite on the 2nd floor. We loved our room. It was spacious, had a nice view of the mountains, quiet, it had a mini fridge, microwave and very clean. It is also close to good restaurants. Would have given them a 5 star if it were not for the dirty drinking glasses in the room. The breakfast wasn't bad either. The indoor pool was perfect after a day of skiing/tubing in Brian Head. For $20 extra, this is definitely an upgrade from the last place we stayed at in Cedar City a couple weeks ago. This is now our go-to hotel in town. I'm giving SpringHill Suites a 4.5* read more

Springhill Suites Marriott in Cedar City is a good place to bed down if you plan on hitting the slopes in Brian Head. It's about a 40 minute drive. Conveniently located off the freeway with nearby fast food restaurants and supermarkets, it served as our place to get a good night's rest before hitting some powder. Clean rooms are suites with comfortable beds and a partially separated area with a pull-out sofa sleeper, lounge chair, desk, mini fridge, sink, microwave, and coffeemaker. There's also an indoor pool and jacuzzi, along with a very small gym that's open 24 hours. A mini market on site is open 24 hours too. Their hot breakfast includes make-your-own waffles, sausage, egg, English muffins, bagels, cereals, oatmeal, and yogurt. It's better to arrive at breakfast earlier since it can get crowded and hectic. (And they do run out of things.) Checking in and out was a breeze. We booked our accommodation through the hotel's website and it was pretty easy. We'd definitely consider staying here again. read more

This SpringHill Suites is not a fancy place, but it gets the job done for a convenient and comfortable night of rest. The location is next to the highway, and downtown and Southern Utah University are only a few miles away. Zion National Park is about an hour away, and a few more national parks are within a few hours away. Parking is free, which is always a nice plus. The hotel is not brand-new, but it is in decent condition. All of the rooms are studio suites. The rooms are spacious enough, and each room has a kitchenette with a microwave and a mini fridge. The beds are comfortable, and I slept well during the one night I stayed. Amenities include a fitness center and a pool, and they suffice for your basic workout and enjoyment. Breakfast is complimentary down in the lobby. With covid going on, the breakfast is a selection of grab-and-go items rather than a buffet. There is a decent selection of food though, and one of the options is a breakfast sandwich that you take to your room to microwave. I made it to breakfast in the nick of time and grabbed a yogurt and some juice to take up to my room. Otherwise, there is a little convenience store in the lobby if you want to grab any other food items or toiletries. The SpringHill Suites is not a luxury resort, but it gives you your bang for your buck and gets you on your way to and from your destination. read more

This Spring Hill Suites has everything you need for a comfortable night stay. That said, it is not as nice as other Spring Hill Suites. The furniture needs an update and the TVs the same. There is plenty of space and the free internet is a nice touch. The staff is friendly and the hotel is secure. Doors are locked late night and you have to get buzzed in if you don't have a key. The breakfast was pretty standard as far as hot breakfasts go. It ended at 10am the day we were there and by 9:40am, things were running out and were not refilled. The SpringHill Suites was the second stop of our 11 day vacation. What was supposed to be a 5 1/2 hour drive from the Grand Canyon became an 8 hour drive. A landslide in February 2013 closed the Highway 89, forcing you to take a 50 mile detour adding almost an hour to your drive. Then if things weren't bad enough, Arizona doesn't observe daylight savings time, you automatically have to add an hour to your drive once you drive from Arizona to Utah. After a long 8 hour drive, we were tired. The SpringHill Suites was just what we needed after our long drive. We arrived at about 8PM on on a Friday night. Check in was fast. Our room was what we had reserved. The room was clean and everything (the toilet) worked. After unloading the car, it was time to go to dinner. The front desk clerk was helpful in giving us recommedations for dinner. At first, she only recommended large chain restaurants like Chili's or Applebee's, places that are available at home. When we told her we didn't want a national chain restaurants, she recommended local restaurants. She was good at giving us ideas of where to go for dinner. Wifi in the hotel was free. Television allowed my wife to dream as she watched HGTV. The room we stayed in had a refrigerator. The room and beds were comfortable and gave us a good night sleep. Breakfast is typical hotel food. They had a waffle maker, eggs, fruit, yogurt, and cereal. Nice hotel. Perfect after a long day of driving. I'd stay here again if in the area. Don't forget to take a free Chupa Lollipop! read more

We didn't have a problem during our stay, the staff was very friendly and able to answer all our questions. The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated, and the beds were large and comfortable. I would say the only thing I found odd was the layout of the rooms. The TV is put in a position where you have to swivel it to watch in bed or to watch it on the couch, but left alone it faces this weird and unnecessary wall. As one of the pricier hotels in Cedar City, I was surprised that this hotel missed some basics that I take for granted at other establishments: 1. No in room safe. We had to check our personal items at the front desk, which offered minimal privacy and we felt a little uncomfortable doing so. 2. No black out shades. My wife is one who sleeps in and we were surprised that all we had were see-through drapes that do not block any sunlight... or interior silhouettes from showing to the outside. The second pair of drapes were not able to be drawn closed or open, but were fixed. 3. No TV / Guest System in the room. All we had was a basic TV with standard definition channels. The TV and speed at which channels were changed were very frustrating. 4. No ability to check out from the room. We had to stop by the front desk in order to do this. 5. The mini fridge did not have a freezer portion and barely kept our food cold. 6. Our room which was on the second floor smelled of cat pee by the elevator. 7. Our room we booked online was for a single queen sized bed but we were stuck with two full beds. :( 8. Our room we had, had absolutely no view at all except for a stucco roof / wall and half the horizon. 9. For the price I paid, I regret not choosing another hotel that would've saved me 50% of what I paid here... I felt a little robbed for what we received in accommodations. Redeeming qualities that keep me from rating this place at 2 stars: 1. Very nice front desk staff. 2. Tiny thoughtful items like paper plates, disposable fork, knives, spoons and napkins were provided in room. 3. Front desk staff. 4. Front desk staff. 5. The workout room, although small had very few, but nice equipment. Towels were provided on the two Precor 932i Treadmills. 1 Ellipical machine. And 1 set of Powerblock dumbells that went up to 50lbs only. They had TV on the wall and personal monitors on the two treadmills. The water cooler in the room was a very nice touch. 6. We've stayed at our fair share of nice hotels in our travels, but I never thought I'd be so impressed with a SpringHill Suites. We were in Cedar City for a baseball tournament so we booked several rooms for our team. The hotel was clean and the staff was extremely friendly. We needed a few more blankets for our room and a lady from their front desk brought them up. I tried to tip her and she wouldn't take it. Wow!! The room smelled nice and was spotless. We used the pullout sofa bed, which is always interesting for the surprises you find inside and under the mattress. This was either brand new or well cleaned. The hotel offers a free breakfast with hot foods, pastries, fresh waffles, and drinks. The hotel was booked so the breakfast was packed, but there were two smiling ladies continually restocking the food. I made a bit of a mess at the waffle maker and apologized to one of the ladies...and she said that they wouldn't be good waffles if there wasn't a mess. I was thoroughly impressed with the service we received at SpringHill Cedar City and would highly recommend. read more

So, I struggle with this review. The staff was FANTASTIC! They did everything they could to make our stay great. To include making sure at breakfast we were accommodated with places to sit and "enough" breakfast. So, I feel like the issues are not the staff but maybe the owner? The hotel is really old and with three hotels next door that are brand new - how does this one stay so old. We booked a King room with the pull out bed for our daughters. The mattress in the pull out bed was SO old and stained, we almost went to Walmart to buy a mattress! Both my daughters really never got a good night's rest. The cushions on the couch were also very stained and gross. We asked the hotel if they had a roll away, but no luck. The King bed was great and comfortable. The little kitchen area was nice. Although the fridge never really got cold. Our room was next to the elevator AND the ice machine. It kept us up all night :-( The tv was on a dresser that had to be shared between both the living area and the bedroom. It would have been nice to have a tv in the bedroom and one for the living area. The elevator was a problem with so many people staying there. The families staying there was a HUGE problem. There were about 6 families on the same floor as us with children who were allowed to run up and down the halls screaming. Again, not the hotel's problem, but I know that we were not the only other guests complaining. There was also another issue with dogs. The hotel does not allow dogs, but guests on our floor snuck in their two barking dogs. We reported the dogs multiple times, but they were never asked to leave. That was frustrating. It's a tough review, but daily we had to mention something to the front desk. Sigh - staff is great - but hotel needs a lot of catching up. Next time, we will either stay at Courtyard (BRAND NEW), La Quinta also brand new or the Holiday Inn Express...all off the same street - all close to the freeway. read more
