This is a family owned business. And as we say in the South, "good people"! They were very responsive, personable, and kind. They have a nice restroom and sell sodas. Easy, peasy. In no at all, we were on the water. I even enjoyed the conversation on the short bus ride! The trip down the creek was amazing! And bonus points for kayaking with cows! Awesome friendly staff got us safely to the launch and gave us lots of great information on the way. The creek is beautiful and it's a 6 mile float back to the takeout which was clearly marked. The pvc rails made it easy to get our kayaks out instead of having to carry them up the stairs. Highly recommended! read more

Big Wills Outfitters is family operated. very responsive and really nice folks. 6 miles down the river with mile markers. beautiful easy float. mostly shaded by all the trees along the river bank. it was a little low this time of year but we had it to ourselves on a Thursday afternoon except for the two cows in the river!! but they were nice. also, it's always nice to get out where your car is parked. They sell paddles and waterproof bags in their cute little shop. cash only. read more

These guys really have a nice set up! Arrive with your own Kayak or they can rent you one to use for the day (includes paddle and life jacket). Once you are set up they direct you to the parking area where you wait a few minutes to get picked up and taken to the launch point. Staff are so friendly and helpful! They load your gear (if you brought your own) and help lower it down to you at the start point when you get there. They seem to do a great job of keeping the river clear of debris (limbs, branches, etc), but you do need to be mindful and pay attention, they aren't able to catch eveything. Approx time to kayak - holding a brisk pace about 2 1/2 hours ... a little more leisurely you'll be looking at closer to 4 hours (I'm guessing - and what they indicated when we asked). Great place to kick back and be lazy on the river for a day. Highly recommend! read more
