After swapping out several technicians, they provided someone who was aggressive, gruff and very rude. Sent rude texts to my wife! After we complained, and also locked in a fixed date of weekly service with someone else they dropped us as apparently, they are so short of staff and the person we complained about dictated his terms. They act like they are the only game in town. Wanted our time trying to sort things out and refused to service the spa as scheduled for the last time to ready it in case we could t find a new service provider. In other words, they couldn't give a $*it! Found a more professional provider! I find all these positive reviews suspect as my experience has been sho kingly opposite!!! Good riddance!!!! read more

We used Big Splash for a 2nd home that we are not at full time. I started monitoring our cameras and realized they were not coming when they said they would. I caught them billing for an entire month that they did not come to. I called them out on that and after a week or so they got back to me admitting that they did not actually come out due to a technician shortage. Fast forward, to the next month I get a random charge outside of our normal charge. When I asked for clarification, I was ignored for 6-7 weeks after checking in 3 times to get a response. We also noticed they did not come during our holiday visit and double checked it with the cameras. When I asked about this, they were very rude to me. I have since changed to a new service. I think they take advantage of homeowners and just charge and charge without always providing the service they are charging for. By reading the other reviews, I can see I am not the only one who has experienced this. Please be aware of this company. read more

Last October I hired Big Splash for weekly service for my NEW Bull Frog hot tub ($100/mth). The first month's bill on my credit card, there's an extra $170 charge from them. I inquired what this was for and finally after a couple of weeks I am told it's for a new filter. It's a NEW hot tub, it does not need a new filter. Finally, they say it was a mistake and they'd reimburse me. In December, we were gone the first two weeks and Park City received a few inches of snow. I can see on my Ring Doorbell that they decide they should drive down my snow-covered driveway, nearly crashing into my garage! Once turned around you can see they are struggling to get back up the driveway, spinning out. Once we were back into town and the snow had melted you can see the 10' of scratches they left on our driveway. I sent the video of the vehicle and a pic of the scratches and said please do not drive down my driveway when there's snow on it. Also, I have not yet received my reimbursement for the filter. A week or so later I was told they'd have to send me a check ($141 check came in March. Still owed $30). Not a word about the scratches in my driveway. We went out of town beginning of January, and as we all remember Park City got a lot of snow. Mid-January, we had the roof, deck and driveway cleared. The driveway stayed cleared until I left the first part of February. I returned late April and discovered that my hot tub had grit on the sides and was murky and stunk! I emailed Big Splash letting them know it was murky and gritty and I wanted it fixed ASAP, reimbursed for April (since it was obviously it had not been serviced) and I want to be here when they do it, so please phone me. He phoned me about 30 minutes later and yelled at me!! Why didn't you clear your driveway or turn your driveway on? (Because we were gone!) Did you have your roof cleared? I am surprised you didn't have any issues (He's still yelling at me!) I said we did have our roof cleared, and the deck and driveway. He said, but we've had 14 feet (he said feet) of snow since February. I said WE did not have 14' of snow in our driveway. I can see via the Ring Doorbell. Oh, he says very sarcastically, you can gauge the depth of the snow from your Ring Doorbell? Ya I can I tell we didn't have 14 FEET of snow in the driveway (Park Meadows) AND we had someone checking our house. He claims they came every week....but because he couldn't drive down the driveway, they didn't service my hot tub, BUT YET, they still charged me. Not once did he complain about having to walk around the house in the snow to get to the hot tub, so what the big deal about my driveway was, I have no idea. Parking at the top of the driveway would have only added additional 15 feet at the most to get to the hot tub. He then texted me undated pics claiming it was the week before (April 17th) that there was still snow in my plowed street and then a pic from the week before that and another one from the week before that, all undated. I in turn texted him a DATED pic (from Ring April 17th) of my neighbor walking down my driveway in her tennis shoes because there was NO snow in the driveway. I also let him know I no longer wanted them to service my hot tub and to remove my credit card from their files. He texted me: "I don't want to lose you as a client But you must understand it's Ben the biggest snow year in utahs history" What I DO understand is that I've been lied to and cheated. AND IF he didn't want to lose me as a client he would have come right over and made it right. It would be the RIGHT thing to do to come over, clean it and reimburse me for services NOT rendered. Saturday afternoon my sister-in-law come over and helped me drain it and scrub it. It took more than 4 hours of us scrubbing whatever that gritty stuff there was on the sides and bottom and in the jets, etc. It would not just rinse off. Don't know if it's some chemical they put in that didn't dissolve or if it was something growing on it? I had to buy the "starters kit" and new filters as they stunk, so I'm now over $300 in supplies plus the monthly fees they've charged me...for doing nothing!! All to fix a problem THEY caused. I've also purchased a sweeper to get rid of the leftover grit but it's not picking up much of it. Sigh. Not very happy. I'd think twice about using Big Splash to service your hot tub. read more

There is nothing worse than a nasty hot tub so getting someone to care for it properly was important. From the moment I contacted Chris at Big Splash he was very helpful and got us set up for when we moved in. We have now been using Big Splash for a little over a month and I can say they are amazing. Be warned. I used this company for almost a year and I recently parted ways with them. (It's a bit curious that these other reviews are so glowing, when my experience has been quite the opposite.) We had a leak in the tub and it took them almost a month to finally come to me and tell me the couldn't deal with it and to call the manufacturer directly. So it became clear that "repair" is not their thing, and maintenance was what I could rely on them for. (I almost fired them then, but I decided to give them another chance.) Since then, we've had a couple of the maintenance issues and, while the tub was down for parts to be ordered (by the manufacturer's reps, not Big Splash), I was told by the Big Splash tech that he would stop visiting until we notified him that the tub was again functional. That seemed reasonable, and that is what we did. Then we received the monthly maintenance statement from Big Splash, which reflected full charges for the month of maintenance. (Clearly, the tech had not talked to billing about his not servicing our tub for that period.) When I asked Big Splash about the inaccurate billing, they suggested that I find another maintenance company. Nicely done, Big Splash. I'm thinking "commitment to our customer" is also not among your strengths, in addition to minor repair work. I can only conclude that if your equipment works perfectly all of the time, they're probably OK for that weekly maintenance. However, if there's anything that goes wrong, they don't communicate well amongst themselves and to the customer, and confusion ensues. I hope this helps! read more

The guys at Big Splash are extremely helpful. I was purchasing a used hot tub in the Park City area from KSL classifieds and called to just ask about hot tub setup and inspection pricing. I ended up speaking with Chris who told me about all of their options and then gave me some additional tips on things to look for before committing to the sale. I really appreciated the fact that even though I wasn't buying a refurbished hot tub from them that he was willing to help. After I got the hot tub I used them for the intial setup. The tech, Arturo, came to my house and got the hot tub up and running. He did a very thourough inspection and answered all of my questions - very friendly and helpful. I stopped by the store later on to buy a test kit and chemicals and Chris walked me through the process and helped me get the essentials - pricing was very reasonable even compared to online spa companies.
