Eric did an amazing job installing the new winter cover. He was very informative and took time to explain how to use the cover and how to take it off in the spring time. Deep Blue built my pool a few years ago. We've had several issues during construction, and the project that I was told would take 6 months, ended up taking more than two years. I like the pool, retaining walls, fire pit, and outdoor kitchen. Had MAJOR issues with flood in the mechanical room. They did not install adequate drainage. I already had to replace ALL of the pool equipment once, and last August, one of their technicians informed me that I would have to replace the heater again. Deep Blue knew of the need for new equipment, however, I contacted them in the Spring to request the opening of the pool, pool cover cleaning and replacement of the broken equipment. They confirmed the appointment for 05/31/23 to execute everything. I made sure to mention again, please bring the new equipment as well. Long story short, as per their usual service practices, all they did on 05/31/23 is kind of clean the pool (didn't vacuum, nor cleaned the tiles). They did not clean the pool cover, and when I called to question that, I was told that the soonest they could perform that service was in about a week or two. On top of everything, none of the new equipment was sent either. When I called the office, the service representative, NEVER apologized for the inconvenience, had ZERO accountability, and couldn't be more rude and flaky. Considering the situation I texted Antony Findley, the company owner. I explained the situation, and informed that all I want is to be able to enjoy my pool, sooner than later. He is typically not very responsive, and it took me a few attempts to even have him acknowledge my text message. When mentioned that I was not interested in "finger pointing", just want my pool functioning the way it should, and attached a video of the flooded mechanical room, with an extremely loud noise coming from the pump, this time he text me back: "I will come by." (06/01/23) Today is 06/26/23, and nobody, to my knowledge, came to solve the issue, I sent multiple messages to Antony, and have been completely ignored. I have all text messages saved. It is very ironic too that the person that comes to clean the pool on a weekly basis, leaves notes on my front door, to please contacted the office because the "pump" is not working. I've been taking pictures of the notes and sending to Antony. He doesn't seem to be bothered. It feels like nobody cares at all. Perhaps I should call the extremely rude service representative, maybe I will catch her on a good day, and may be before the Summer is over, I will be able to enjoy a few days on my pool. Important: Even though they were the ones that did the entire project, including landscaping and irrigation system that caused the latest flood, and the inadequate drainage in the mechanical room, never once have I said that they should pay to repair/replace all the damage. I just want to be able to use my pool. That's all. My intent is to share my experience, like other clients did too, so you don't see yourself in the same undesirable situation. read more

We used them on our pool and they were VERY hard to get ahold of. After our home was done, they wouldn't fix their mistakes and kept screening our calls. Please don't use them, whatever you do. Even if there is a beautiful pool, the bad customer service and refusal to respond to calls...and only will respond if they want to be paid...it's not worth your time or money. We opened our pool this year to find we needed tile work and plaster repair. I called a few places who stated that plaster repair was months behind. I called Deep Blue and they sent out Chad to give us a bid. Chad provided the bid the same day he promised and we were happy with the costs so we signed the contract and paid our down payment. Chad said they were a couple of weeks out which we were totally fine with. Chad notified us about a week before they were coming out so we could get the pool drained. We drained the pool and had it ready for them for the next week. Chad mentioned that he wanted to send the guys out Tuesday. They showed up on Wednesday to start the pool work. Since there was some crappy weather over the weekend I figured they would be a day off of when they were coming and they were, we did not receive a call on when they would come out, they came out the very next day. Fili did a fantastic job retiling our pool with the 6" Bermuda tile. We previously had another company install Royal Blue 3"x3" tiles which didn't work out as we have to leave the water above the skimmer line for winter to support our cover. The water color is even more blue than it was previously so we love the Bermuda Tile look. After Fili was done grouting which was two days later after starting, the plaster repair guys Kyle and Jeremy came out that very same day. They cleaned off the entire pool and made it look even whiter than it had been! They completed all of the plaster work that same day as well. Our pool looks AWESOME!!! This company's service is abysmal. They come weekly to "service" our pool and hot tub. They do not check the pool filters when they arrive. We emailed them after receiving our last invoice to let them know the filter isn't being cleaned. All they responded with was, "when did you take the picture?" How about, I'm sorry about that, we'll get someone out there to correct this!?! They came this past Friday, and we checked the pool filter; it is filled with debris. Sixty days ago, we asked them to fix a light; they said they would send a tech out; we still have a broken light. We had asked them to leave the hot tub cover open because when they add the chemicals to the hot tub and close the lid, the chemicals are damaging our cover. They obviously did not relay that message to the person that comes out to our house because she still closes the lid. I will now be looking for a new company. Recently I had my old dual speed pool pump go out. I had already decided after doing research that I wanted to upgrade to a variable speed pump (more efficient, save money, etc.). Tren came out and went over various options and had my new variable speed pump installed the next day. The new pump is very quite!!! It is also cycling the water so much faster and has made cleaning the pool super easy. I can't say enough good things about Tren! Horrible experience. Told me pool would be done by end of January. Somewhere around June they still hadn't completed a quarter of the work and then just stopped communicating altogether. It was stunningly bad. Had to hire another pool contractor and I'm finishing a little over a year after I hired Anthony. I'm very workable and paid on time and as agreed. It was horrible. They answer their phones. Expect a 9 hour window which is unrealistic unless you don't work, and then you won't be able to afford their rates of $120/hr. We waited a month for our scheduled appointment and then we had to call twice to hear they weren't coming on our scheduled day. After the second day of lack of communication and no service, we cancelled the appointment. Bad enough we had to block one day from our work schedule to be home, but this was too much to ask followed with much higher rates than other service providers. I hope this helps you make a better decision to use a different pool company. I've been working with deep blue for a couple years. I've spent a lot of money at their company. Their service and repair is horrible. They called and scheduled an appointment saying I'll be there next day never showed up not even a phone call to cancel appointment. I called them back they told me they'd come out two weeks later after they told me they'd be there next day. The third time we waited all day and I called and had them adjust the date they said they'd be there a couple days later. Never showed up again. I got one of the customer service people on the phone and she pretty much said this is not my problem. I will give you a phone number to call my manager. I've tried very hard to communicate well to resolve the situation. You would think I was the customer service rep for the company. Please do me the favor and do not use this company. The continued nightmares you'll have to deal with it it's just not worth it. The company does a good work but be prepared for poor communication. I was the one who had to call for updates on when they would come or to follow up on an ordered part. If the appointment was rescheduled no one bothered to call with the new date. They would say they "tried" to call but based on my phones call or text log there was no attempt made. If you value your time, you might want to contact a different business.When I called, they had to schedule me out three weeks because they had no availability. They gave me a 4 hour block of time where I had to leave work and be home to greet the person who was going to work on the spa. On the day of the appointment, I called and confirmed I was on the afternoon schedule. I called three times during the scheduled time and was assured each time they would be there. Finally the last time I called, they said they weren't going to make it and 'maybe tomorrow.' I have a job and do not have time to wait each day until they finally decide I'm important enough. Deep Blue built our beautiful pool in 2015 and they have provided cleaning and chemical services on a weekly basis since that time. Nick does both of those services and is always prompt, incredibly thorough and a really nice guy!! He always leaves us a card telling us what has been completed that day and the levels of the pools' Ph, sanitizer and salt levels! Twice this past month I have needed an extra cleaning because we were entertaining, and when we have called the office, Diana and Lori have been so helpful and have done everything possible to fit us in! Nick came first thing this morning and I am so grateful to all of them. A lot of companies aren't as helpful or accommodating and I highly recommend them! One last thing that I truly love about this company is their billing service. They bill you directly through e-mail and you can pay through quick books. It is so easy and convenient! Anthony and his team at Deep Blue did a phenomenal job on our backyard pool and spa. From the very beginning, when Anthony took us on a personal tour of local pools he had completed so we could get a better idea of what we wanted, to remeasuring the cement steps 10 times to be meticulously spaced and aligned, to the final walk through when he pointed out and erased almost invisible specks of plaster from the pool coping, we have been impressed with Anthony's artistic vision and overall aesthetic. His ability to listen to our ideas and execute on them led to a finished product with which we are absolutely delighted. Anthony not only designed and built our pool and spa, he also created a gorgeous fire pit nook and a stunning outdoor bar and bbq for us. Anthony recommended and partnered with a local landscaper to makes sure the backyard was beautiful, low maintenance, and full of native plants, as required by our neighborhood HOA. By using rock walls, raised berms, hidden speakers, and a spa to pool waterfall, Anthony helped to minimize noise from a nearby busy road and create a serene backyard sanctuary. My only "buyer beware" would be that by creating such remarkable backyard spaces, Deep Blue is in high demand. Be prepared to put your name on a waiting list and wait. Especially in the high seasons of spring and summer, there is a backlog of clients all demanding that their project be hurried along and finished up, and as much as Anthony tries, and truly means well, there is invariably some frustration as your project hits slow periods, or they have to switch to another job with a crisis, or the plasterer is overbooked, or.... I'd like to recognize Nick, who has to be one of the nicest and most respectful pool guys around, always taking the time to play with my dogs and chat with my children. He consistently takes his time to leave the pool looking perfect. Carlos, one of Anthony's crew, is also wonderful, extremely polite and works overtime to get the job done right. If you are thinking about putting in a backyard pool or spa, I highly recommend you touch base with Anthony. He is not only very very good at what he does, he's also a really nice guy who wants you to love your finished product and who stands behind his work 100%. I have owned a pool for 7 years now and have gone through pretty much every service company in the Salt Lake Valley. Finally I have an honest and fair provider. They have done a superb job. Most recently our Filter blew and Anthony the owner called to explain what had happened. He explained that the tech had attempted to clean it and after he had reassembled it and turned on the pump it (the filter) had blown. He pointed out the filter was 10+ years old and was likely served its expected life time. I was shocked by his honesty as it would have been plausible to simply say it needs to be replaced. He also gave me a generous discount when he did not need to. I value honesty above all else with whom I do business. Therefore, Deep Blue Pools and Spas will remain my pool and spa maintenance/repair provider. read more

Would NOT recommend this company. Terrible overall experience. Although the pool looks great from a distance, a few things never got completed per their promises. The owner/sales person promised to repair the hole in our bathroom ceiling that was caused by his electricians in the attic running pool electric...I have reminded him several times and finally gave up. Then he promised to re-seal the coping when the pool was complete...again I asked several times and have had to give up to no responses. On a positive note, they did successfully close the pool at the end of the season. Then I thought I'd give them one more chance and scheduled them to open my pool this year after they successfully closed it last year (I scheduled several months in advance with them via phone). I confirmed the appointment one business day prior to the actual appointment since I had to take the day off to let them in (they would not provide an approx time, just the day). They didn't show and I had to call them only to find out they were too busy and sent their person on another job. They then sent someone out the next day to try to "make it right". For some reason, they did not hook up our autofill water supply line (this was disconnected when they closed the pool as part of the basic closing the prior year) and then I noticed the salt chlorinator coupling was leaking the next day. I have called twice now to get the job completed before paying their opening fee that they billed me for "before" the job was completed. Today when I called, the receptionist said "I was lucky" that they could schedule me for the following week, but would not confirm if the water connection would be included even though they took it apart...she said "I" had to ask the service person when he showed up because she didn't want to bother them again because they were working. I guess they think I'm an inconvenient customer who expects fair service in return for payment. I will never go back to them for anything...all talk, no action. read more

They are really bad. I was excited to use them at first but they are awful with their phone calls, taking care of their customers, not keeping up to date. They are the kind of company that you have to bug all the time and they don't get anything done. It's really awful. I wasted my time with them. POOR SERVICE and communication. AWFUL!!!! AWFUL!!!! They have charged my credit card and still haven't brought me there stuff over two months!!! My experience with this business was horrible--took my deposit and did not deliver the services they promised. Failed to make scheduled appointments and left me without a pool for months. Their word means nothing and they refuse to return the deposit despite having done no significant work on my pool cover or liner. The only up-side is one of the technicians, Chad. I've had repeated problems with my pool after it is serviced on Fridays. Chad came out after hours and fixed the issue. When it happened again the next week, he was very responsive and came back out after hours on a Friday. He spent almost 2 hours resolving it and then cleaning the filters, which were apparently filthy and needed to be replaced. Thanks Chad!! read more

I have not used them, but they are doing a project directly behind my house, and they are unbelievably inconsiderate. We live in a very tight neighborhood, SugarHouse, and they are conducting demo work on Sunday evenings and late weeknights. I have spoken to the foreman of this job on several occasions, as well as called their office several times to complain, and they just do not seem to care. I feel this is just poor business practice.
