It would have been nice to be told that when we ordered a soft drink You order as soon as you walk in and then they bring the food to the table. This is a little overwhelming as you can not see the menu until your turn to place the order and with the line forming behind you, that can be stressful. The food is decent, but nothing spectacular. My son had the pulled pork sandwich with Mac n cheese and enjoyed it. My husband had the 2 piece catfish platter and while he enjoyed it, it wasn't the best he has ever had. He said he would probably try something else if we come back. I had the pulled pork grilled cheese with onion rings and I really enjoyed my meal. There was a good amount of pulled pork with some yummy pimento cheese and it was toasted perfectly. The onion rings had a nice light batter, but were served perfectly crisp. I would definitely order my meal again if we come back and the portion was so large that my husband and I thought we could definitely split it. It was pretty crowded as expected on a weekend so I decided to just sit at the bar. The place itself was clean, nice, and obviously well kept. Some of the other reviews are what sparked my interest, and I can honestly say that I'm glad I showed up. I told the bartender it was my first time in and told her I was looking for a steak. The one she suggested had a small sweet marinade to it. I'm not really a sweet steak guy but I went with it.... and man was it really good. Cooked to perfection (medium rare) and tasted super fresh. The Mac and cheese was also solid, as was the sweet tea. Now... the chicken noodle soup: I loved it. Big soup here and although this soup was not "brothy" at all, it was thick and creamy, so good.
