I rented a unit for my daughter on December 24th. While going over the contract in a effort to get…read moreme to sign for 3 months, I was told "if it is only like 2 days into the next month, let us know ahead of time. We will work with you , we aren't like those other guys". My daughter found another place to live. I tried several times to reach the manager to give him plenty of advance notice. My emails were returned " undeliverable". After trying for 3 days to get my emails to go through from 2 different accounts, I called the manager. His response was " no one else is having trouble and I can't discuss right now". Finally I got email back from him confirming he got the email even though I still got a message saying " undeliverable". (BTW, this was still within the 10 days required prior to vacating) We vacated the unit on 1/26 before 12:00. I again sent several emails with messages saying " undeliverable" . He finally called me today saying he will reimburse me $37.50. When I questioned his language on the first day, he denied saying what he said. He also said the system would not allow him " to refund me more. Also, the unit was full of leaves and spiderwebs the day I took it over. I would not recommend using Homebase storage. There are many other places in town to give business to, so please take my advice and save your money. Do not use Homebase storage..

Update: The trash bins have finally been removed! It took about two months total. I wish I could…read moresay they finally responded and apologized, had an emergency or whatever situation that prevented it from happening the first many times we reached out. Unfortunately no, I had to call yet again, left a voicemail informing them that my next call would be to the Better Business Bureau, with the disclaimer that I really didn't want to have to take that step on a locally owned, family business that many customers have been very happy with for so many years, and then a follow up email along the same lines. It would have been nice to hear something from someone, a return call letting us know that they were now coming to get them, or a return email saying as much. But no, none of that, just that the bins are now gone. So I guess that's that, no steps taken that would improve my original rating, but the bare minimum met after two months and a lot of hassle. Original Review: When we purchased and moved into our new house, there were four L&W trash bins outside that the previous owner apparently utilized, as they are quite full. We spoke to the previous owner to remind them since it was evidently an oversight during their moving out process. They said they would speak to the family member that I guess works for this company and made the arrangements to get four at one time, and have them taken away. That did not happen. So we called ourselves, let them know, it's not a big deal, but please come get them now. They said they do not service our street. We said we understand that, but the fact remains, that someone made arrangements to have so many trash bins here even outside of your regular service area, and we need them removed. Gave them the address, they said they would take care of it. That did not happen. Waited several weeks later, busy with moving and various new home tasks, no one has come to take the bins, or contacted us regarding the delay. So I called again, left a voicemail with a reminder of the situation, our address, my name and phone number, in case they had questions that needed answering in order to make this happen. Now that was more than a week ago, still no answer, no call back, and still four very full trash bins sitting and stinking in the scorching summer sun alongside our driveway. What magic words do we need to say for you to come get these trash bins?
