The store is much bigger than the Byres road branch, but doesn't have as much cook ware. This store is big and bright.. Along most of the walls is a great selection of cards for all kinds of occasions, always check the prices as some of the cards can be expensive. They also have a great selection of gifts and nice things to buy to treat yourself. I bought some birthday cards and the staff were lovely and helpful.

I was looking for something in particular and while they had it, it still wasn't quite right so I didn't buy it (vague-Yelping). I would have loved to treat myself to a present while I was there but managed to restrain myself, but I will probably be back for the Drawing for Foodies book. I always like the range they have at Papyrus and feel like they stock good quality stuff that isn't too expensive. I can see I'll be buying many gifts here in the future.

this is without a doubt my favourite store for getting all the latest trends in clothing and…read moreaccessories at fantastic prices which are always very reasonable. this topshop is situated in silverburn shopping centre which is just off the m77 motorway at pollock in glasgow. this is about a ten minute drive from glasgow city centre and is a beautiful shopping centre.new look offers a great selection of clothing at amazingly low prices and always has the latest trends from celebrity fashion in store. in this store the upper level is dedicated to shoes and there is a huge selection to choose from. as well as clothing, shoes and accessories there are also childrens clothing and a really cool menswear range which is very similar to clothing you would see from topman but at better prices.

The multi storey car park has a great lighting set up to let you know where a free space is.. If you look at the roof you'll see lots of red and green lights.. If you see a green light underneath it will be a free parking space.. There are lots of different shops all the kids you want even a small version of debenhams.. And the food on offer is great. wagamama, nandos, you sushi, the list goes on.. There are lots of lovely little stalls dotted about where you can buy some original not in the high street type things. There is also a big tesco attached and a newly opened cineworld..

I have mixed feelings about Silverburn hence the 3 stars…read more Things that are good about it: - It's indoors - handy for shopping in the rain (which is most of the time) - Good selection of shops including clothes, food, homewares - Some pretty ok places to eat, I normally go to Yo Sushi when I'm here but don't mind the odd Nando's/Wagamama. There's a few new eating places too - Giraffe, Zizzi and Carluccio's is opening later this year. Things that aren't so good about it: - It's a bit of a strange shape so it means you'll walk from one end to the other, and then remember something you need at M&S or Tesco, and have to walk all the way back again - The car park is a bit of a nightmare. I try to avoid visiting on the weekend as even then it's hard to park. At Christmas you'd be better off getting public transport if you're really desperate to shop here. - The toilets seem like they're really far apart I go here when I need to, but I rarely visit just for a wander around the shops anymore.

Popped into H Samuel in Silverburn with a relative who was looking for a ring specifically…read moreadvertised in Christmas brochure. The ring was for his partner who'd already been sized as T. The required ring wasn't in stock but the assistant was happy to order in for us. During the course of the order she advised us there was a further 20% discount available on the ring but that sadly they only had sizes up to S. She spoke to her manager and then advised us they'd be happy to have the ring sized up for us and would so without charge. I know H Samuel has a reputation as a pretty mass market jewellers but on the day our assistant demonstrated the really excellent level of customer service I'd expect from a top notch supplier.

So in the Trespass vs Cotswold Outdoor wars, I'm calling Trespass the winner. There probably isn't…read moreeven an actual war, but seeing as these shops are quite similar and at Silverburn, I'm going to manufacture one. So Trespass is a fair bit smaller than Cotswold but to me, it sold all the same kind of stuff. Outdoors wear (derr), jackets, shoes, boots, accessories - all you could want for your outdoor adventuring. The reason I preferred Trespass is I thought their range was nicer (see the photo of the snazzy animal print jacket, very nice) and they also had some sweet discounts. Now I wasn't seriously thinking of buying anything so I didn't go into any deep analysing of the prices (me, outdoors? No) but the one jacket that really caught my eye was a really reasonable price. Another plus was the staff member here was really nice and friendly, in a natural and welcoming way. She seemed a little lonely, sure, but in shopping centres you can feel snubbed in more ways than you thought possible. Not here!

Stupid name aside, I really liked this store and found at least 283 things I'd like to own. And I'm not even a man. I popped in for a look and found a cool wee stand thing for a mobile phone which I thought would come in handy at home. It's like a lounge chair for your phone essentially, but I was worried my iPhone 6 plus wouldn't fit on it, seeing as it's closer in size to a tablet than a phone. The shop assistant was happy to help me out and get the stand out of the packet and set it up for me so I could make sure I was happy with it. She had great banter and was really helpful (the stand was a little fiddly to work out, and she didn't seem to think I was being a pain for asking to check the size). For a mere £4.99 I took my stand home and have it nicely perched on my desk now. There is a downside which is that it doesn't fit with the charger plugged in but that's no biggie. Aside from that, this shop sells loads of stuff that could fit into the "novelty gift" genre - spuddy couch potato cushions which are kind of hideous but also hilarious (see photos), a wide range of nerdesque books, make your own cider kits, etc. There's lots of wee gadgets, robots and toys - things that anyone of the slightly nerdy persuasion might like. So aside from the name, I'd definitely return here when present-hunting in future.

More recently, I wanted to get some new shoes which were stylish (ish) and good for walking. Again, Clarks were my go-to place and I got a pair of "glove puppet" flats which look a bit like trainers but they also have cushioning so you can wear them all day. They were £45 and so far, I totally love them - lets see how they hold up when I walk around Japan next week! This store at Silverburn has a good range and is very neat. I wasn't offered any help but there was quite a lot of customers in, and I was just browsing. I ended up deciding not to get another pair of the sneakers just now!

I'm one of the laziest shoppers around so I can't say I enjoy going to TK Maxx - I walk in excited and that diminishes within about 30 seconds when I see the racks of picked-through clothes. This TK Maxx is pretty big, split over two levels. I've visited tonnes of times but can't remember ever finding anything for myself here - it seems like the clothes on the women's section are all from the 90s so maybe I'm missing the secret. There is a good range in the homewares section however, and I like how the handbags are presented along a whole wall so it's easy to see what you like. It's worth a visit but you've got to be in the right frame of mind and put in the effort to get the goods. One day that might happen to me.

For this reason, I would make the trip out to Silverburn for this shop alone. It sells a varied range of its own-brand costume jewellery in more-or-less every colour as well as bags and hair accessories. There is also a small section of mikey jewellery although I usually prefer the Muse delights anyway. What is so great about this shop is the offers - there are almost always some sort of offer on whether it's 50% off or 3 for 2 on everything - and it makes the jewellery such good value for money. If you're in Silverburn it's a must-visit - perfect for stocking-fillers!

I stumbled across this gorgeous little accessory shop on a recent visit to Silverburn with Bot. I…read morenoticed a couple of bright red £1 stickers on many of the earrings and pendants and just had to take a closer look.I'm like a magpie when it comes to bargains. Unlike most cheap accessory stores, the items here are of a good quality and many of them had "Dorothy Perkins" stickers or "Mickey" stickers, so I guess they find themselves here as a result of being excess stock. Although it's a small shop, it's very well organised and the selection is excellent, I could have spend a good hour here. I eventually decided on a gold coloured pair of earrings in the shape of a peacock with the feathers layered down the length of the earring... sounds weird but they're really nice. I also got some pretty peach floral stud earrings and at £1 each, I really can't complain! The girl working was really friendly and even wrapped my purchase in tissue paper and bagged them. Not bad for only spending £2! If you're looking for some new accessories then check this place out as you could (and probably will) come away with a bargain.
