Hi Sandy, I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS BUSINESS. I quit going there years ago because they tried to sell me my own wheels. Maybe it was a mistake, but if it was it was a pretty bad one. I just went in for tires for a trailer with my own wheels. Had my last review removed. That's total horse pucky. This is my personal first hand experience. If you get this one removed I'll come back and post it again, and I'll tell everybody what a local government contractor had to say when they sent in a vehicle that had just been gone through to see what that shop would have to say it might need. This is to add on to my last review. I went in this past Tuesday which I shared with Adrian my low tire indicator light came back on again. 1st day I brought it in few days prior I asked them to check it. So because he didn't let the team know, and they never checked either time to see if I had a nail, screw something in the tires, I got a complete flat on the back right passenger tire while at Old Town in Yuma. I called company to come fix it and took so long for them to show up I had friends with me help me. This could have left me stranded on the side of the road or out in a remote area, since I travel full time. Plus I have a black lab that in this heat could have been suffering being stranded. When I call them to let them know what happen Eli said it wasn't in the system that i had a low tire light on, I stated because you have bad business practices! would put no stars if i could. Beware of this Big o. Took our car in for an oil change on a Thursday and just a day later Friday there was no oil in the car. The first tech my son came in contact with was rude and made my son feel like he wasn't welcomed. Other employees were nice so my son decided to stay and have the job done. After the job was completed another employee took time to point out issues with the car that we were aware of. I know pointing out needed repairs could bring more business but after the impression my son got at the start he declined any further service. It was nice that we were told of other issues but our main reason for the trip to Big O was an oil change and that service was far from acceptable when you consider the results. I would not feel comfortable or trust having this issue corrected or any further work done at Big O. I would not recommend this Big O read more

I chilled in their waiting area; it took about an hour. Before this I grilled Luis the customer service rep on the fine print of the warranties, etc. Again, it was more than I initially planned to spend but the customer service both for me and car made up for it, I guess! I had a real issue with a trailer I had bought in Yuma, Az. All four tires were bad and needed replaced. I attempted to get it to the shop but ended up blowing 3 of the tires within a mile of getting there. So stuck on the side of the road I called the Big O and explained to Juan what my issue was, and I needed help. I had to take the wheels off on the side of the road and get them to Juan to have the tires replaced. he made time for me and his crew got to work immediately. without the assistance of the staff at the Big-O in Yuma I would have been completely out of luck until Monday morning. thank you for all of your help. read more

I am sorry to say that my New CRV 2006 Drove better before I took it into these guys for my Oil Change. They took it upon themselves to remove my tires and what not. and VOILA I need a Full Alignment! The CRV is dramatically pulling to the Right! So I took it back to them and Complained. I told them that they needed to UN do what ever it was that mad my car pull to the right. LOW and BEHOLD they managed to fix the problem. Then I made a Mistake a few months later to take the CRV to them and get my Levels checked before a trip to SD and IT HAPPENED AGAIN CAR IS PULLING TO THE RIGHT AND I SUDDENLY NEED AN ALIMENT. Maybe this is just my Luck with these guys. I am going to hope it is a Isolated occurrence. I went to the Foothills branch Saturday at 2;30 pm with a flat tire on my car.After standing in line for 15 minutes watching them move all tires inside. When I got to the cashier I was told it's too late to fix my tire because they close in 15 minutes.Who ever runs this place needs a big wake up call.I had to call AAA to come and replace my tire in the parking lot of the Big O tire shop.I will never deal with this company again. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! This place is a rip-off. Their $16.99 oil change advertisement is a ruse to lure you in for a bait and switch as they will try to charge over $50 for the service. I brought my truck into Big O for and alignment. Upon inspection some worn parts were found and pointed out to me. I authorized the initial parts replacement. I requested all the old parts be returned to me. Later I was contacted and told they were not able to patch a hole in 1 tire, so I would need to purchase 4 new tires. I again asked for the old parts and tires to be held and returned to me. When I picked the truck up, I was informed that none of the parts or tires were held for me. John Parish informed me that not all the employees were informed so they thrown away. Less then 1400 miles later the front left hub completely failed and it was noticed that the steering stabilizer was missing. When I brought the receipts and problems to The Big O manager (Robert) I was informed I had no proof that the truck had a stabilizer when I brought it in. The hub fail was not their problem and he offered me a free alignment check. After spending over $3000 on this work and having the parts not returned as I requested, told that I could not prove the truck had a steering stabalizer ( lying) and having a major hub failure soon after the work on the front end was completed.... I strongly recommend finding another tire store for any work you have done in Yuma. This place is not honest or fair. read more

These guys are crooks! My elderly father took his truck in to get the tires rotated. The so called tire man told him he had a bubble on the sidewall of one tire. My father, not wanting to be driving around on a bad tire took their advice and purchased a new tire at $170.00 + And the store said they would send the "BAD" tire back to the manufacturer. Well it's been three months or more since then and the store tells my dad that the manufacturer reported there was nothing wrong with the tire. So to sum it up they cheated him into buying a new tire and now can't find the "BAD" tire either. This store is as bad as it gets and by looking at some of their other yelps I think they need to be investigated by the state controller. I wouldn't buy a new tire for my wheel barrow from these CROOKS! read more

I bought these ties at the foothills store, and I've traded at that store for several years. but I had this flat in town, and just made it here to the Pacific ave store. they did fix my flat, and rotate the tires, which I paid for when I bought the tires. In December I purchased a set of bigfoot tires for my truck. I was planning a trip into the mountains and wanted a good tire to handle the snow and ice. These tires worked very well. I felt very confident anytime I had to get into the white stuff. These tires are a bit noisier than I like, but the ride is good. Much better than the Generals that came on the truck. Getting a good balance was a problem with these tires. But thanks to the perseverance and patience of JB, that problem has been minimized. Update: This past winter, we took a trip to snow country, and encountered over a foot of snow. I had to push through the snow for about 600 yards in four wheel drive to get to the front door of the residence. I am very impressed with the performance of the Bigfoot tires. read more

My car was riding very rough and had quite a shake in the steering wheel. So just before leaving Yuma I brought it to them to have the tires rotated and balanced plus a wheel alignment if necessary. When I arrived at their location at 2975 Pacific Ave., Yuma, AZ they said there would be about a 20-30 Minute wait or I could make an appointment for later in the day. I was anxious to get this dealt with as I had planned on leaving Yuma the following day. I told them I didn't mind waiting. Within a few minutes (??) they took the car in. It sat there for a long time and eventually I did see it up on the hoist. But I never did see anybody working on it. Being the patient (NOT !!) person that I am, I sat in the Waiting Room - went outside - came back in - went outside etc. etc. etc. Each time I could see the car. Finally after about an hour or so the car was ready to go. I specifically asked them if they did a wheel alignment and when they said "NO" I asked them if the car needed a wheel alignment and again the answer was "NO". I didn't feel any improvement in the driving so figured I was just going to have to bite the bullet and buy all new tires because surely that was the problem. When I arrived in Deming I went to TINLEY TEE TIRE where a wheel alignment was done. And was NEEDED to be done the mechanic said. I was told by a friend that the tires were never rotated !! And he gave me two very obvious explanations as to how he knew that. 1. The balancing things they put on the tires were OLD. If the tires had been balanced the balancing things would be obviously new. 2. The front drivers tire was badly 'cupped' and that would not happen if that tire had been on the rear - where it would have been had they been rotated. My mind went back to that day that I was so 'patient' going in and out of the waiting room. Each time I could see the car but as Tom was explaining things to me I realized that I had not seen the tires being taken off !!! So back to Big O Tires in Deming, NM I go the next day. Going in there I knew this time I would not take my eyes off the car and also knowing the proper way tires are to be rotated. What I observed at this location was that there were two 'mechanics' who clearly knew what they were doing. And there were two young guys who obviously were hired to do the grunt work. It was these two young guys that took the tires off my car. They take the two left tires off and bring them in to the balancing machine. The mechanic is already using the machine so he has to wait and was twiddling my tires around. I never took my eyes off the tires so I knew which one came off the front and which one came off the back. I sauntered in and started chatting with this young guy. I asked him how he knew which tire was which ?? He got it WRONG ! That was confirmed by the other young guy who took them off. THEN he goes to the other mechanic and gets a marker to label these two tires. I went back to the mechanic and got the marker again to label the two remaining tires. When the mechanic was balancing the final tire it was REALLY out of balance and he figured the rim was bent. He suggested I take the rim off the spare tire and use that. Fine by me. The final tire was now going back on and I see the young guy putting THE SAME RIM back on the car - the rim/tire that is now supposed to be the spare !! I knew it was the same rim because the spare tire rim had a different design. "OOOPS" he said !! In the meantime I had noticed they didn't tighten the lug nuts (I think that's what they are called) on one of the other tires but didn't say anything to see if they would notice. The young guy had lowered the car before he noticed that !! Now with the tires actually rotated and balanced I immediately noticed a huge improvement in the handling while driving. I write all of this in the hope that someone will be saved some grief - and potential hazard !!! What happened to me - in two different locations - is simply unacceptable ! read more

Was super impressed with the friendliness I received when scheduling an appointment over the phone but upon entering the business Karina at the counter was not the most pleasant and after getting info from my vehicle I asked about 3 different times if she would recommend going ahead and why.. Not giving me much detail. I would think being knowledgeable in the field she would gladly inform me the whys without me pushing, instead she served me the bill with their highest rates instead of trying to really help a customer out, thankfully I've seen the promotion in the paper and asked her about it. I would have saved her the few minutes and the couple sheets of paper she had to reprint with the right amount if only she asked me instead of trying to meet their marks for the day. read more

My hubby does most of our car repair, but time ran out and we needed our rotors replaced for a trip to Phoenix that he just couldn't get to. So, we made an appointment and brought it in. An hour later, car was done. Cool! My hubby drove it home, loaded my work gear in, and I go to leave and all of a sudden there is this LOUD squealing, grinding noise. My husband calls and they say bring it back. Well, I am working! I have to drive over, between appointments, unload my car, load into my husbands car, and he then has to wait for for them to fix it! Supposedly, (according to them) they had tightened it down too much! Like I said, my husband usually does our car repairs. Laying on the ground in the parking lot before it went back in he saw what they did wrong: they put the clip that holds the brakes pads in wrong! We were very frustrated! For all the extra time it took, my husband could have done the repairs himself and saved us $150! Lesson learned. They offered a weak apology after my husband complained about the inconvenience, and that was it. We won't go back! read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!! This location is filled with nothing but money hungry salespeople that want to get every last cent of your money. My son took my 2010 Kia Forte in for front and possibly back breaks. I had just had it in 2 years prior to get brakes from this Big O location. So I take the car in for an "inspection" and the first thing they tell me is they recommend that I get new tires. Ok you are a tire shop but in all truth, I had just gotten 4 new tires a week ago from Discount Tire (awesome job and price by the way). I will not even go to them for tires anymore because of my last experience there but I didn't post about that one, just let it go, after this experience I wish I had. Anyway, we get past the tire inspection in the parking lot and they get it on the rack. After an hour of inspecting this is their conclusion, my calipers had "seized up" and that's why I was getting that metal on metal noise, needs new rotors, new pads in the front and new rotors and pads on the back. So the total cost of this will be, drum roll please, only a mere $1400 and some change. After my son said absolutely no, what can you do to get this lower, they graciously said the back ones weren't absolutely needed right now so they brought the estimate down to around $1000. Wow what a savings. After he argued that was still just way to high, they worked their magic and got it down to $848.03. With this still way to high, he called me to see if I wanted the work done. After he told about how they were treating him, talking over him, being rude, not answering his questions, he did not want me to get the work done there and suggested another opinion. I took his advice and he told Big O to put the tires back on the car and that we wanted another opinion because this was just way to high. This is where it gets slimy! They started feeding my son a line that for his safety they really "by law" can't let him leave with the calipers like that. They were literally not going to let him leave. After my son kept telling him no way are they working on it and put the car back together they finally agreed to let him leave. As he was about to get in the car and go, one of the technicians and the saleswoman that was working up this ridiculous order pulled him aside, got his phone number and said they have "a guy" that can do the job for half what Big O wanted. Now again, the saleswoman, that wrote up this order, is standing there shaking her head and telling my son to wait for their call before we take it anywhere else. How flippin slimy and sleezy is that!! So in the meantime I am calling every brake and auto shop in the phone book and I come across Arizona Brake and Wheel. I talk to Scott, the owner, and I tell him what I need so I can get a ballpark figure. After telling him that my calipers have seized, I need new rotors and pads he kinda giggled and explained that it is very rare that calipers need replacing. It does happen but hardly never. He said that they do free inspections so bring it on down. By this point it is around 3:00 in the afternoon (my son got to Big O around 10:30am when this all started). I meet my son and we drop it at Arizona Brake and take off to go sit and get a bite to eat. About an hour later I get a call from Scott and VIOLA by calipers are fine! I did need to get new pads and rotors for the front and only new pads for the back. Total cost, drum roll please, $378.04 out the door! They were friendly, honest, and even stayed late on a Friday so I would have my car for the weekend. I wish that I could add pictures to show the estimate from Big O and the actual bill from Arizona Brake to show that I am not exaggerating. I have never written a review for anything before but I know that I am not the only one that Big O is trying to rip off with unnecessary services. Big O needs to simply pay their employees a normal hourly or salary because I am sure that they are working off commission and this is why they are overcharging and pushing services not needed. Please do your research and get a second opinion before letting them work on your vehicle. And if you do end up at Big O try the location in the Foothills, maybe they have morals out at that location. read more

I was happy to see such clean and clear bilingual skills from Alex Luna. He was incredibly helpful and made any customer at ease as he spoke and explained everything to them. Rick directly helped me and my fiance while we were there. He kept us up to date on what was going on and answered all our questions with a smile. The only thing they need to improve on isntheir time. We were told that the job would take an hour and a half and the job ended up taking three and a half hours.
